Nutters come out regarding the latest MAS crash

Recommended Posts

? Is this for real ? Does the kiev junta have a right, according to a piece of paper, not only to participate in the investigation when they are a suspect to start with, to veto any conclusions that may be released? Obviously this is in their and their backers interests. Isn't there any room for dissenting opinions or minority reports?

This is silly there were 298 people on board and '20 relatives from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and the US filed a letter request for “the UN to appoint a special envoy to take over”' it's not clear if the relatives were of 20 different victims. And nowhere in either the RT article or the Reuters one it was based on was there any indication the families doubted the neutrality of the Dutch investigators.

It's a predictable reaction by those who swing wildly towards the "conspiracy theory". When an investigation fails to give you the answer you seek, claim it is "corrupted" or "part of the cover-up".

Insignificant facts like the evidence fitting the widely held view that it was brought down by a surface-to-air missile play no part in their beliefs.

I also note some preemptive actions: the full report has not yet been released and yet the CTers are condemning it.

Can anyone say "poisoning the well"?

What will be the reaction from CTers if the final report says that the aircraft WAS shot down by air-to-air attack? Will they still say the findings are false?

The difference between you and me, Steven, is that I will accept an independent accident board's findings; you won't. Anything that doesn't agree with your own beliefs is immediately dismissed.

That is just your lack of expertise in this area.

Whenever there is a major aviation accident, there will be at least four major parties involved:

- The country where the accident occurred

- The country which owned the aircraft

- The country in which the aircraft was registered (state of registry)

- The country which manufactured the aircraft

In cases where the engines or other significant subsystems were manufactured in another country, that country may also be party to the investigation. if there were fatalities, then the parent nation of those killed may also participate. Many other people may participate.

The country where the accident occurred will be responsible for the investigation. The other parties are observers.

Look up the Chicago Convention, Annex 13, Chapter 5.

This process has been followed for decades.

It seems that in your haste to reply you didn't bother to look at the linked articles that came up in your Google search. The 1st two undermine your case more than they help it and the third is just a Dutch CT citing unsubstantiated rumor posted on a CT website.

And predictably they now come out making all sorts of uninformed and inaccurate claims regarding the Germanwings crash.

I even saw a comment that because the co-pilot had spent some time in the US that it was "...enough time for some MK-ULTRA conditioning...".

Do these nutters realise just how idiotic they look when they try to talk like an aviation expert but are in fact not even able to operate the exit row hatch?

What this tragedy has shown is that the measures taken to prevent another 9-11 type cockpit invasion has led to a not unforeseen but unlikely event.

Let me explain. On an A320 there is an armoured door with escape hatch for the crew that has 3 points of electrical locking mechanisms. You're not getting in unless the person in the cockpit lets you in, which is exactly what the door is designed to do.

The door switch in the cockpit has three positions and a light. The three positions are UNLOCK, LOCK and NORMAL; the lights are OPEN and FAULT.

When the switch is in the UNLOCK position, the door will open like a normal unlocked door.
When the switch is in the NORMAL position, the procedure to enter the cockpit its to contact the flight crew via the interphone, telling them you want to enter the cockpit. You then press a button on numeric keypad near the door, which sounds a buzzer in the cockpit for 3 seconds. The crew in the cockpit then know it's you and move the cockpit door switch to UNLOCK, a green LED light illuminates on the keypad and you can then enter through the door.
In the event of crew incapacitation, you would get no answer on the interphone. In this case you enter a security code into the keypad. The green LED will flash and the buzzer will sound in the cockpit. If after 30 seconds the crew take no action, the green LED will illuminate and you have 5 seconds to enter the cockpit.
If the crew move the door switch to LOCK, then nothing will open the door from outside the cockpit. The security code is inhibited for 5 minutes.
So unless a two person rule is enforced in the cockpit, a person can keep the cockpit secure by putting the door switch into LOCK every few minutes.
If you make some type of master over-ride code to get into the cockpit despite the lockout then you just create an avenue for an intruder to enter the cockpit.
There were also claims that thee fatal dive was unusual or impossible. Again, totally wrong. You simply set the autopilot up to make a descent to a new altitude... except in this case you make sure the altitude is sufficient to ensure a crash. The aircraft will then happily set up a constant descent profile and fly into the ground (providing the destination altitude is below ground level). Of course terrain avoidance systems like GPWS will give aural warnings put that's it.
It is terribly sad that this guy decided to not only kill himself but also take all the passengers with him. It is not some crackpot CIA conspiracy, though.

CIA Refuses to Share Updated Intelligence on MH17 Crash – US Journalist

The US Central Intelligence Agency will not release an updated assessment of the Malaysia MH17 flight crash because it would exonerate the Russian government from involvement, US journalist Robert Parry, known for helping expose the Iran-Contra affair, told Sputnik.

robert-parry.jpg

Robert Parry

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — On July 17, 2014, Malaysia Airlines aircraft Boeing 777 crashed in Ukraine’s eastern region, killing all 298 people on board. Kiev was quick to accuse independence supporters in eastern Ukraine of shooting the plane down using Russian-made missiles.“Obviously, there have been updates they [CIA] just don’t want to say what they are,” Parry said. “I’ve been told the intelligence points in a different direction… there’s no evidence that the Russian government gave these missiles to the rebels. There’s even evidence that points to someone besides the rebels being implicated.”

Parry said when he asked the CIA for an update they provided him with the July 22 assessment, which was released just five days after the disaster and is now over eight months old.

Reliable sources told Parry that the CIA has indeed conducted more assessments of the crash based on fresher intelligence. However, he said the CIA responded to his pleas by maintaining that there were no updates.“They [CIA] have a great deal of intelligence on MH17. They not only had satellite images, they also had intercepts. Not giving away secrets, but the United States does have capabilities to pry into people’s phone calls and other things,” Parry stressed. “And they’ve evaluated this information. But, they won’t share it.”

On March 19, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Western media have ignored officially documented information from eyewitnesses previously obtained by Russian media and investigators, including those indicating the presence of a Ukrainian military jet in the vicinity of the doomed flight.

A final investigation report is expected to be published by the Dutch Safety Board by mid-2015.
