From the New York Daily News: Bill O’Reilly asked Trump to explain how he could respect the Russian president in a Fox News clip expected to air on Sunday. “But he’s a killer though. Putin’s a killer,” O’Reilly told Trump, referencing the Kremlin’s alleged penchant for extrajudicial deaths. “We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think — our country’s so innocent,” Trump callously replied in the “O’Reilly Factor” interview taped at the White House. -------------------------------- Trump is a killer. Ten days ago he approved an attack on Yemen by U.S. Navy Seals. The decision was made while Trump was having dinner in the White House, apparently decided between the main entree and dessert. The Seal attack was a total failure. One Seal was killed and several Seals wounded. A number of Yemen civilians were killed by the Seals, including an eight year old girl. So President Trump was speaking the truth when he told Bill O'Reilly that "We've got klllers" because he himself has become a killer, albeit one that makes his decisions to kill people while having a leisure dinner cooked by the White House Chef. David Andrews Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 (edited) He hasn't yet achieved Harry Truman's proportions, but military killing has always gone, of necessity, with the office. Optimists are hoping his remarks spell an opposition to extra-judicial murder, but, from the nonchalant tone, we may doubt it. Being that Putin's political enemies are often journalists and whistle-blowers, we might wonder about Trump's remark in the context of the most bad press at the dawn of any administration. Michael Clark Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 It will be interesting to watch Trump bear such decisions. Without having done any research into the matter it has looked to me as if he has largely avoided such situations. Prior to his political debut, am not aware of any collusion with the Mafia, connection with dark political forces or deep political or economic scandal. He has rushed head-long into actions which would demonstrate his desire fulfill promises made to his base. He now has to kill Muslims to do that.
