Richard means this rather hideous thing I think http://geographyforum.invisionzone.com/ Sheez, you'd think that with all that colouring in experience they'd choose something a little easier on the eyes! Potentially a very worthy project however. Ideally I'd prefer Geographers to use our Geography section here but we have been notably unsuccesful in attracting them thus far. Never do that! I don't think a site map would help much either. I have the pleasure of teaching a number of pupils in the 6th form who also take (have taken) geography. A particularly revealing exchange with one of them recently went as follows. Pupil: Where are you from Sir? Me: I'm from the Isle of Man Pupil: Is that near France? Me: No it is between Northern Ireland and Cumbria? Pupil: What's Cumbria? Me: Have a look at this map (I point to both cumbria and IOM on a map). The Isle of Man is a British crown dependency with its own devolved government, language and currency. Pupil: Are you one of them asylum seekers then? Me: Yes but they won't let me back in Pupil: Is the Isle of Man like the Isle of Sheep? (I think she meant Sheppey) Me: What did you get in your Geography GCSE?
