  2. And BTW, Fetter leaves that whole aspect about Rayburn out, namely that the guy was incorruptible. Yet when I was reading about him for this review, that is the aspect of his character that struck me the most. The guy was legendary in. that regard. The other things that struck me were the contradictions. If Rayburn and LBJ were scheming to get Johnson as VP in 1960, why did Rayburn advise LBJ not to take the offer? Why did LBJ run at all that year? And BTW, JFK knew that Johnson would be his toughest opponent which is why he sent RFK down to Texas in 1959 to feel him out. The whole question about that election is this: Why did Johnson not enter earlier, as Rayburn was clearly trying to get him to do? And BTW, Fetter leave that out also, Rayburn's urging of LBJ to get in the race in the spring. Rayburn even set up a shell HQ called Citizens for Johnson to push him into getting into the race. (Shesol, Mutual Contempt, p.28). Johnson not only refused to go over there, he got mad at Rayburn for doing it behind his back! This is why I used the word solipsistic in my critique. Because the stuff he leaves out, gives the reader a different picture. And I compared him to Waldron for that reason.
  3. I hope sometime soon there will be an in-depth documentary on Rudy Giuliani that explains how he somehow COMPLETELY lost all sense of right and wrong, because as far as I know, at one time long ago he knew the difference. What a fall.

  5. No, it's not, is it. That statement is now an established fact.
  6. Paul and Jean, I do have an update on LITAMIL-3. New releases show that LITAMIL-3 is 201-290894, and that 201-290894 is Ricardo Vidal Dominguez. We have created a pseudonym page for him at MFF. He was an informant within the Cuban diplomatic corps. Jean, I am moving more towards the belief that Oswald was at least trying to get himself in the FBI's orbit in the last three months of his life. I can't get over the .way he sought out FBI agent John Quigley after his New Orleans arrest of 8/9/63 and put himself out there as a source of information. Oswald then seemed to pick up on Jim Hosty's 9/10/63 report about Oswald's long-distance mail relationship with the CPUSA and the FPCC, and then the Oswald figure shows up in the Cuban consulate later that month brandishing membership cards in both the CPUSA and the FPCC. I believe that Oswald himself wrote the Nov. 9 letter to the Soviet embassy complaining about the FBI (and knowing the FBI would intercept it!) and appeared at the Dallas FBI office in mid-November with a note complaining about Jim Hosty "bothering his wife". Matt, I agree that Fedora and Golitsyn are very important personages - Mary Ferrell created a decent index on Fedora and we created a good page on Golitsyn based on his cryptonyms DS-2137 and AELADLE - but I haven't seen any indication that Fedora or Golitsyn were involved in the Mexico City events of Sept-Oct. 1963.
  7. No, it's not, is it. That statement is now an established fact. The Warren Omission is the invalidated theory.
  8. 65% still don't believe Oswald acted alone. Chop it up however you want. Still 65%.
  9. Wow. So, Bundy, Bissell, Barnes and King took down Dulles, Bissell and Cabbell with the Bay of Pigs with JFK "cleaning house" (ha) afterwards. And at the same time they set up JFK for failure to start out his administration. He did take full responsibility publicly though it was Ike/Nixon's lame duck. Labeled by some as weak on Communism. It ultimately had far reaching, deadly effects.
  10. I've still got that album, along with Beginnings, Brothers and Sisters, and Enlightened Rouges. My favorite off Filmore East has always been Whipping Post, a full album side to itself. I guess you know the story behind Elizabet Reed? Gavin Edwards - » Who was Elizabeth Reed, the woman immortalized beautifully in the Allman Brothers song? (rulefortytwo.com)
  11. I used to be friends with Sean Fetter. The way he explained it to me was after Lyndon Johnson's embarrassment of an abortive presidential campaign at the 1956 Democratic convention, where he was coldly shunned because of his well-known association with the King of Southern Segregationists Sen. Richard Russell (D-GA), Lyndon Johnson and Sam Rayburn together determined that a Southerner could never get nominated by the national Democratic party which was in the process of turning away from the Southern racist segregationist Democrats. Therefore as early as 1956 LBJ and Sam Rayburn were plotting to get LBJ on the 1960 ticket as Vice President with the full intention of murdering the Democratic presidential nominee IF the Democratic party were to win the presidency. Yes that theory is a crock of baloney and I can't find any evidence to support it. I am more in the camp of Lyndon Johnson decided to murder JFK just as soon as he got placed on the 1960 Democratic ticket - in the event that JFK were elected President. And based on what I see, that is exactly what happened! As for Sam Rayburn being "incorruptible" .... Sam Rayburn's coin of the realm was POWER not money and Rayburn was someone who slowly cherished the accumulation of much political power just as other people like to make money. And if Rayburn hooked up with someone as dirty and completely corrupt at Lyndon Johnson, then Rayburn probably was not lily white clean himself. Rayburn carried water for the same people who LBJ did: Texas oil oligarchs and the war hawks. Rayburn was a member of the hard right American Security Council (as was Gen. Edward Lansdale!) Rayburn died in November, 1961 and JFK went to his funeral in Bonham, TX. I have many problems with Sean Fetter's Under Cover of Night, but at the same time I have found very valuable information in it and I encourage folks to buy and read this book.

  13. From bill's chapter : .... this man was LITAMIL-3, a diplomat of more than 30 years in Mexico. Although I am not 100% certain on this observation, my research indicates that LITAMIL-3 may have been cultural attaché Osmin Fernandez Concepcion, who also served as the mayor of the city of Marianao. When in Cuba, Fernandez lived in the same home as Castro’s executive secretary Conchita Fernandez, who apparently was his sister-in-law.[ 67 ] There are two photographs of Osmin Fernandez in the Cuban mugbooks – he does not appear to be in his fifties, but the photos are small and may not have been totally current.[ 68 ] LITAMIL-3 had been “anxious to ‘get out’ for considerable time but…‘stayed in place’ at station request” back in April 1961 during the Bay of Pigs.[ 69 ] Osmin’s 201-334092 file number is just digits away from Azcue’s 201-334089. ‐----------------- I don´t know if Bill has an update on the above

  15. Ah. Okay. Well, since it has been shared publicly otherwise, I suppose I can share it here. I wrote Jeff Morley the following; never heard back. You'll want to read what he calls the "Hardaway Declaration" -- I think he's removed it from his website (?), wherein certain notations indicate essentially that John McMahon is evidently the authorizing authority to clear (or not, as the case may be) documents for release to the HSCA in the late '70s. So, did Jeff Morley, upon receiving this email from me, say to someone -- John Newman for instance -- something to the effect that "we have a problem ... someone's catching on to the John McMahon issue?" Did John Neman then step into the fray, into an area which he evidently did not intend to go before, or thought perhaps he could get around (the centrality of the mole issue to the JFKA), to close the gap, get out in front? I don't know. He won't answer, either of them, via email (Morley) or on Twitter (Morley and Newman). Interesting possibilities however seemingly triflingly "inside" -- if I may be so bold -- it may be ... From: Matt Cloud <[REDACTED]> Date: Wed, Apr 17, 2019 at 4:17 PM Subject: Nosenko/Yurchenko To: <morleyj@[REDACTED]> Dear Jeff Morley: Regarding your question from the Deep State blog, https://jfkfacts.org/was-yuri-nosenko-a-kgb-mole/: was Nosenko a mole? And, if so, who was he protecting? In answering those questions, I wonder whether you have considered a not-so-remarked upon thread running through the Nosenko and Yurchenko defections. The attached go toward this. One of which is the Joannides exhibits which I realize of course you secured for release. The other is a Washington Times article from 1985 on the Yurchenko defection having reopened the "search for CIA mole." The connection may not be obvious -- and I apologize for being cryptic here! -- but if you would like to discuss further I have quite a bit more on the subject to say (and write). I'm in Bethesda; please feel free to give me a call at [REDACTED]. I attach, too, a recent Letter-to-the Editor of The Post by me by way of credential (which did run), however unrelated it may seem to be. Thank you, Matt Cloud
  16. Welcome Steve. BTW, Fetter actually says that the plotting by Rayburn and LBJ began back in 1956. I am still trying to find his evidence for this. I should add if you read Part 2 of the review, Rayburn's major characteristic as a politician is that he was incorruptible. Go figure.
  17. Here's a big tip but a research project to boot: Can anyone tell me where the U-2 program and the CORONA satellite program were run out of from say 1958-1963? It's never been declassified. Hint #1: It wasn't in Langley, VA. It was in Washington, DC. Hint #2: Yenching Palace – Washington, D.C. 18. Exactly? It's a big story, Paul. Over 70 years of history. And it's getting to be my supper time. Besides it's not really any fun for me if I just tell you. You'd reject it it anyway, probably. As Deep Throat is said to have said, "I have to do this my way. You tell me what you know, and I'll confirm. I'll keep you in the right direction if I can, but that's all." I'm willing to go further than that; I already have. But be specific. Good questions get good answers, better questions get better answers, and so on. If there's something you don't understand about something I've posted, ask. What references, for example, didn't you get?
  19. Jim, thanks for your thoughtful review of Fetter's book.
  20. I found it, but not access to read it. Would you mind taking some time to explain exactly what you’re thinking? Your last few posts are intriguing but I don’t know some of the references.
  21. You're going to have to dig a bit ... it appears to not be as readily accessible as it once was. Citation: Mattson, Mike. Winter/Spring 2009. “A Counterintelligence Cold Case File: The Fourth Mole.” Intelligencer Journal. Vol. 17, No. 1.
  22. You are referring to an article he wrote called ‘the fourth mole’? How can we access it?
  23. Is that why Bob Baer has come out to pin post-Solie activities on Redmond. The Case of the Fourth Man? (Neither Ames, Hannsen or Howard can explain all the losses, esp. from 82-86. I suggest everyone look up and read Mike Mattson "Counterintelligence cold case file" Intelligencer Journal Winter/Spring 2009. There was someone above them all.)
  24. I wonder what caused Newman to take up the most sensitive issue in national security history in 2019 and pin it on Solie .... I wonder if ... could it be ... a parallel investigation was occurring that was uncovering someone else ... Did I wrote Morley and let him know too much -- that John McMahon's identity was at risk -- and he told Newman there's a problem and Newman stepped in to fill the void? Hold that thought ...
