Nathaniel Heidenheimer
More info on Thomas Vallee(see first post). Note the similarities to Lee Harvey Oswald. *Thomas Arthur Vallee was wounded in the Korean War. An FBI teletype on Vallee the week after Kennedy's Assassination stated that the ex- Marine had a prior history of mental commitment, "allegedly has a metal plate in his scalp," and "recieved complete disability from the V. A" (footnote 165 chapter 6) * a few days after being discharged from the Marines, Vallee suffered a second head injury, this one follwed by a "complete rehabilitation program, learning all over again how to walk, talk and hold a knife and fork (note 167) * Soon after he returned home his father died of a heart attack. An Uncle accused Thomas of killing his father, driving him to death by his errant behavior. His sister said Vellee felt deeply guilty about his father's death. "After the accident," she said, "my brother was never the same again". * Vallee told invesitgative reported Edwin Black that he had been assigned by the Marines to a U-2 base in Japan, Camp Otsu.(note 172)" Vallee thereby came under the control of the CIA, which commanded the U-2 just as Oswald would come under the CIA's control as a radar operator at another CIA U-2 base, in Japan. * Like Oswald Vallee was involved with a camp being used as a training ground by the CIA for Cuban exiles in a plan to assassinate Fidel Castro. * Vallee's close CIA connections, like Oswald's help to explain how he too, came to be employed at a site over a presidential parade route. "In August 1963 as Oswald was preparing to move from New Orleans back to Dallas, Vallee moved from New York City back to Chicago (note 175 Chapter 6) Just as Oswald got a job in a warehouse right over Kennedy' future motercade route in Dallas, so, too did Vallee get a job in a warehouse right over Kennedy's motorcade route in Chicago. Like Oswald in Dallas (before his summer in New Orleans), Vallee found employment as a printer. He was hired by IPP Litho-Plate, located at 625 West Jackson Boulevard in Chicago." The author, James W. Douglass, describes the view from the roof of 625 West Jackson: "From its roof I could look down and over to where JFK's presidential limousine had been scheduled to make a slow turn up from the Northwest Expressway (today ironically the Kennedy Expressway) exit ramp onto West Jackson on November 2, 1963. It was analogous to the slow curve the limousine woul make in Dallas in front of the Texas School Book Depository three weeks later. In the Chicago motorcade, after proceeding one more block, President Kennedy woul have passed by Vallee's workplace, just as he would in fact pass by Oswald's workplace in Dallas three weeks later Vallee's location at IPP Litho-Plate actually gave him a nearer, clearer view ofthe November 2 Chicago motorcade than Oswald's so- called "sniper's nest" did onf the November 22nd Dallas Motercade" (JFK and the Unspeakable:Why He Died and Why It Matters, p. 206)

Thomas Graves
One thing that's never been clear to me from what I've read, before his arrest, was Vallee actually intending to attack JFK? I mean I know it appears that he was to be left holding the bag but independent of the sniper teams was Vallee going to be shooting at Kennedy from 625 West Jackson? Let's see if this works: http://www.blackopradio.com/The%20Chicago%20Plot%20by%20Edwin%20Black.pdf --Thomas P.S. Any ideas as to identity of the guy with "large build, an extremely large head, mangy hair, and wearing a short waist-jacket"? One of the Cubans, perhaps? As Oswald once putit, “You have to read between the lines.” p. 195 Lawson made one final call to the Protective ResearchSection to make sure no new threats had come in overnight. PRS hadn’treceived any new name; there were just the regulars; the ones the agents allcarried on index cards in their jacket pockets. Protective Research http://www.aarclibrary.org/publib/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh17/pdf/WH17_CE_768.pdf Notice of the proposed Presidential trip to Dallas wasfurnished to the Protective Research Section on November 8, 1963. The indices weresearched, and no active subjects were of record. No subsequent information wasreceived from the Protective Research Section of any subject requiringattention. Informants of the Right Wing Movement were interviewed by SAHowlett. Dallas Office, to identify any possible trouble makers. Motion-picturefilms of the assault on Ambassador Stevenson which occurred in Dallas wereviewed with members of the Criminal Intelligence Division of the Dallas PoliceDepartment at Station KLRD TV-Radio. Still photographs were obtained of personsinvolved in this incident. SA Howlett was on duty at check point entrance atthe Trade Mart with copies of these photographs and were screening for theseindividuals. A number of individuals who resembled those in these photographswere placed under surveillance at the Trade Mart. At approximately 12:30 p.m. November 22, 1963, President Kennedy and Governor Connally of Texas werestruck by gunfire while riding in SS-100-X during the motorcade to the TradeMart. The President died at Parkland Hospital, Dallas, Texas, at 1:00 p.m. CST, November 22, 1963. http://www.aarclibrary.org/publib/jfk/wc/wcvols/wh17/pdf/WH17_CE_768.pdf p. 357 “Despite the earlier rejection of his allegations, AbrahamBolden was allowed to speak with HSCA investigators when the JFK assassinationwas reopened. Bolden told them that sometime before November 2, 1963, the FBIsent a Teletype message to the Chicago Secret Service office stating that therewould be an attempt on Kennedy’s life in Chicago on November 2 by a four-manhit team using high-powered rifles. The HSCA interviewed Ed Tucker and otheragents who were working in the Chicago officeat that time, and none of them could recall any such thing. The HSCA could notdocument that such a case existed and found that Bolden’s story was of‘questionable authenticity.’” ------ “Jerry remembered that the only possible threatinvestigation that occurred in Chicago beforePresident Kennedy’s assassination involved a man called Thomas Arthur Vallee.Indded, Vallee was mentioned in the book as being somehow connected to thiswhole bizarre theory. His good friend Ed Tucker, who had been on the WhiteHouse Detail during the early part of the Kennedy administration and hadtransferred back to the Chicago fieldoffice, had handled the Vallee investigation with another Chicago agent,Thomas Strong.”<br style="mso-special-character:line-break"><br style="mso-special-character:line-break"> “Jerry remembered when Cecil Taylor in PRS hadfirst told him about Vallee, when he was preparing for the Tampaadvance. He had heard the details of the story may times over the yearsstraight from Ed Tucker. Vallee was a Korean War veteran who had scribbledthreatening comments all over the strange collage of pictures of Kennedy andother political leaders he’s pasted on the wall of his Chicagoboardinghouse room. When his landlady had notified the Secret Service thatVallee was planning to take the day off from work the same day the presidentwas to be in Chicago,Tucker had directed the police to send out an all-points bulletin. Vallee wasstopped for making an illegal turn, and when the officers saw an illegal knifein the front seat, they popped his trunk and found an M1 rifle and a thousandrounds of ammunition. Vallee was immediately incarcerated and was monitoreduntil an accurate assessment could be made.” “President Kennedy did indeed end up canceling his trip to Chicago forthe Army-Air Force football game, but it nothing to do with Thomas ArthurVallee or a four-man hit team, as Bolden had told the author. Blaine hadbeen on post at the White House when President Kennedy was notified of the coupin Vietnam inwhich the Diem brothers were assassinated. The president immediately canceledthe trip to Chicago andhad meetings well into the night with every ranking member of his security, intelligence, and military staffs. The coup had global implications that neededto be addressed immediately. It was no time for the President of the United States to be attending a footballgame.” And the Diem brothers weren’t assassinated by a lone-nutcase like Oswald or Vallee, and the assassination of JFK still has implicationsthat need to be addressed. While Blaine mightbe through with Vallee, we shouldn’t be. “Agent Blaine hadcalled PBS from New York Cityearlier that morning and requested any Florida fliesbe pulled. When Blaineentered the records room, Cecil Taylor, the Special Agent on duty, had someindex cards and manila file folders laid out on the table for him.” “Cecil handed Jerry the one-page fact sheet on the new case.‘His name is Vallee. Thomas Arthur Vallee. The Chicago officeinvestigated this case about two weeks ago….” “Subsequent investigation showed he is a member of somegroup called the John Birch Society – a right-wing conservative organization –and has had mental problems…”
Jim Glover
Kathy... Here is a link to a photo of Thomas Arthur Vallee. IMO he looks nothing at all like Oswald. HSCA-070-vallee.jpg http://www.cuban-exi...-070-vallee.jpg Dixie Vallee looks very much like the look alike I described in custody of two Dallas cops late that afternoon after an airport stop and pickup.I reported he had a crew cut as in the photo and the side photo shows his weak chin which Oswald also had and the photo of a high forehead which Oswald had. He was not a double but enough of a look alike to be mistaken for Oswald if a fast look at and then gone like running down the grass to get into a car like officer Roger Graig witnessed or the real Oswald which the Warren Commission did not like either option. The fact that he had a car registered in Lee’s name is important and a look alike is not a twin... it does not have to be. http://www.jfklancer..._stamp=20120517 http://educationforu...showtopic=10194 Edited January 30, 2013 by Jim Glover
Jim Glover
BUMP I don’t know what “Bump" means Bill, but Vallee looks like the guy in Dallas police custody in Houston with others like Hoover and Bush and one of the Corsican Brothers, Sarti who was not in custody.... he was welcome. If we are lookin for Oswald’s Twin, he did not have one and look-alikes are not supposed to be doubles. Since Tumbleweed Tom told me that night he was afraid to get back on the shadow bus because it had a camera, all these folks who got away from testifying in the case and all the others like Phil Ochs being filmed in Dealey Plaza were being set up to make sure they covered up all with Alan Dulles not in the picture but in charge of what the CIA and military could report to the Warren Commission. Thomas Graves
I was reading Abraham Bolden's book The Echo From Dealey Plaza recently, which mentions Vallee. Does anyone have information on Vallee, such as his age in 1963 or what happened to him later in life? The following 1970 article from Time magazine discusses Sherman H. Skolnick's lawsuit to obtain records related to the Chicago assassination plot, but I can't find anything further about the results of the suit. http://www.time.com/...,944016,00.html The following article from May 14, 2008 claims Vallee's 1962 Ford Falcon was registered to Lee Harvey Oswald, as proven by a National Archives document (which is not named in the article). http://www.hvpress.n...2008-05-14.html Has anybody ever come across this claimed direct link between Vallee and Oswald before, other than from the Time article posted above? Steve On page 201 of JFK and the Unspeakable James Douglas writes, "[special Agent in Charge of the Chicago Secret Service office Maurice] Martineau set up a twenty-four-hour surveillance of the men's [the four snipers'] boarding house. He passed out to his agents four photos of the men allegedly involved in the plot [to kill JFK on 11/02/63]. (137) emphasis added In the back of the book, all footnote (137) says is: "Sherman Skolnick's Suit against the National Archives and Records Service, filed on April 6, 1970, in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division, p. 2." Has anyone besides James Douglas read this legal document? Douglas' citing of it suggests that it somehow proves that Martineau passed out the four photos to his agents, but I've got the sinking feeling that maybe Skolnick just alleged it, without proof, in his filing brief. I, for one, would like to know more about those four photos. Thanks, --Tommy Edited February 25, 2013 by Thomas Graves

They did the same thing in Dallas with the news films and photos of those who attacked Adli Stevenson. I don't think they knew their names, but they had photos and films of them, and reviewed the films with Wes Wise the TV reporter who told me himself that he went over the films with the Secret Service (and probably Dallas Special Services Bureau) and identified those who attacked Stevenson. The photos of these suspects were then given to the Secret Service agents who were on security duty at the Texas Trade Mart where JFK was to give his speech. At least one of thee suspects and possibly more showed up and were taken into custody. Who were they and what became of the photos handed out to the agents at the Trade Mart?
