I am a 51 year old married father of 16 year old twin boys. My wife is a community midwife. I run a music school teaching guitar, bass and drums to 38 pupils on a one to one basis from our own studio/small venue. I am also involved in performance/recording myself and run RockSynchrony.Com, an organisation which oversees a mixture of music based events on a certain day each year (RockSynchrony '07 takes place on 30th June). These events are run on a purely voluntary basis in many venues throughout Britain, the aim being to help support the Teenage Cancer Trust as best we can.
I have a very keen interest in history and education generally. Our own family history regarding both World Wars has had something of an effect on me, especially my great grandfather's diaries from the Great war. He kept a harrowing record up to his death in the trenches and I've always thought that only through passing this history on will newer generations understand what exactly war entails. My Uncle is also rumoured to have flown Hellcats during WW2 though I have little knowledge of the truth of this. Perhaps I can find out a little more here.
I'm not sure how I stumbled on this site but thank goodness I did. It would seem that an awful lot of sense is talked among it's users and I find myself totally fascinated by so much of what I've read here. I look forward to learning more.
