Was George Herbert Walker Bush Involved in Kennedy Assassination?

Jim,

I hope you'll admit your stance on this requires you to dismiss as insignificant coincidence, a whole bunch of related individuals of interest.

(Modified slightly from the linked version.)

1946- William B. Macomber Jr. finishes wartime service as USMC officer serving in the OSS in Europe and in Burma,. Later, he officially is in CIA two years, then has a long career in the State Dept. Then C. Douglas Dillon appoints him to president of the NY Met. Museum of Art, a position he seems to have little qualification for. William is best man in GHW Bush's sister's 1946 wedding. He is best man in Thomas J. Devine's 1973 wedding. In 1960, he inquires about defectors and learns of Oswald's name. He requests Otepka explore this small list of individuals with the FBI.

In 1972, he is sent to Haiti in haste to secure the release there of the kidnapped US ambassador. He witnesses's JFK's oath taking as a freshman senator, as a guest of Prescott Bush. He marries John Foster Dulles's personal secretary, Phylis Bernau.

1973- John D. Macomber, William's brother, and McKinsey and company partner, mentors new hire, Harvard MBA Michael L Ainslie. Both soon leave McKinsey, and John becomes president of Celanese Corp. He hires Thomas J. Devine as V.P. and Devine is quickly promoted to V.P. and controller at Celanese. John has a myriad of connections after 20 years at McKinsey, and later he provides a total of $172,500 in capital, along with William Draper III, to Bush's son George W's unprofitable oil ventures. GHW Bush, as US president, rewards both John and Draper with high level appointments. in the mid 90's, John and Michael Ainslie become high ranking directors at Lehman, serving respectively on the executive compensation and audit committees when Lehman suddenly imploded in Sept., 2008. Both are named as defendants in ongoing lawsuits by stockholders.

In 1980, with seemingly little experience, aside from serving as an urban development aide in the NYC mayoral administration of Nancy Bush's wedding usher, John Lindsay, Michael Ainslie, age 36, is hired by chairman, CARLISLE H. HUMELSINE, as president of National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Somewhere after Sept., 1973, when Bush escorted Suzanne B. Hooker down the aisle to marry Ames Braga, and the mid 1980's, Michael Ainslie became Suzanne Hooker Ames's second husband. Braga was the son of B. Rionda Braga, the sugar magnate who shared his executive, Michael JP "Jack" Malone, (CIA asset AMPATRIN) with Bob Kleberg of the KIng ranch in Texas.

Kleberg's sister was the widow of a co-founder of Celeanese who had died in 1949. She was CEO of the King Ranch.

Kleberg, through Jack Malone, had purchased and financed the overhaul and operation of the WWII sub chaser, Vejana III, used covertly bv the CIA afainst Cuba in operation AMDENIM.

Ames Braga's father, B. Rionda Braga, was the first cousin of Placido Ervesun, who was married to Nina Osterman, sister of Valnetine "Vala" Osterman Byfield, wife of OSS's Ernest Byfield Jr. until her death in 1970. Ernest's mother Gladys Tariere, rented her 400 acres horse farm in Middleburg, VA to JFk as a weekend white house from late 1960 until early 1963. Byfield's father in Chicago created the Pump Room restaurant and hired and promoted Patrick Hoy who became close to Sidney Korshak and other prominent mob figures. Hoy was hired by Henry Crown in 1960 as General Dynamics VP. Irv Kupcinet wrote a daily Chicago newspaper column for six decades, during the 1960's his co-columnists were Ira and Jimmy Colitz, lifelong friends of Jack Ruby. The Colitzes owned the Clover Bar, next door to the Hotels Sherman where Byfield and Hoy occupied the corporate offices until Hoy left in 1962 to take Crown's job offer.

Kupcinet and his wife spent part of every evening sitting in booth one in the PumP Room restaurant of the Ambassador West Hotel, part of Byfield's Sherman Hotel Group, where Patrick Hoy was manager of the restaurant and finally President of the Hotel group during 15 of Kupcinet's 55+ years coming there nightly. Kupcinet's best friend was Sidney Korshak, who ID's the body of Karyn Kupcinet in the LA morgue in 1963 after Kupcinet broke down over the news of her death. In his memoirs, Kupcinet quoted Henry Crown's job offer pitch to Patrick Hoy, who Kupcinet says protested to Crown that he had no executive experience in the defense or in the sand and gravel business.

Hoy founded a bank in the early 60's with Jake Arvey, but then was convicted of borrowing $5 million fraudulantly from other banks and from Crown's sons, and went to prison in 1970. Byfield partnered with Hoy's nephew, William McCullough in 1967 in the West Lincoln Park Hotel and its "Left Bank" restaurant.

Crown, at the time of JFK's death, was lobbying on capitol hill to keep his company's desperately needed TFX fighter contract. Crown and Hoy are mentioned in the Torbitt Docs, that Crown benefitted the most from the assassinatiuon because the TFX contract investigation was ended by 12/15/63, that Tom Clark had Crown's son john as his law clerk, even though James Ragen had named Crown as a top syndicate boss, and Earl Warren, whose daughter Virginia was on Crown's closest partner, Hilton's sleeve for years, promoted Crown's lawyer Jenner to the other WC commissioners, on the name recommendation of Tom Clark, and that Albert Jenner employed Clark's former law clerk, Crown's son, John, at that time? Oh....and in 2003, Robert S. Macnamara, at age 88, married the second wife of the late Ernie Byfield.

In 1966, Earl Warren chose Crown and Hoy business partner Jake Arvey's old law partner, Paul Ziffren's son to be his law clerk.

John Macomber is a principle in the Atlantic Council. Atlantic Council treasurer was William HG Fitzgerald and in 1943, Byfield. Jr. was Fitzgerald's best man in his wedding to Ernst Petschek's daughter. Petschek was a client of Harriman Bros. and John Foster Dulles in the creation of dummy US incorporated holding companies intended to shield Petschek mines and industrial assets in Silesia and Germany. Petschek's Hubertus AG was appropriated by Hermann Abs's father.

Suzanne B. Hooker was escorted down the aisle in 1973 by Bush because she was the daughter of Bush's late school roommate, Edward Gordon Hooker. Hooker went unmentioned in both memoirs later written by George and Barbara Bush. Maybe it was because Edward Hooker was the step-nephew and business partner of Oswald's best friend, George DeMohrenschildt, or...because the best man in Hooker's 1946 wedding was S. Willets Meyer, first cousing of Cord Meyer of the CIA. Bush's oil business partner in the 1950's, later his travel partner in an early 1969 trip to the warfront in Viet Nam, was Macomber's V.P. at Celanese, Thomas J. Devine, a former CIA agent who met with George DeMohrenschildt and Haitian banker Clemard Joseph Charles in May, 1963. Devine reported details of the meetings to CIA under the OP designations WUBRINY and WUSALINE.

George HW and George W Bush, John Macomber, Tom Devine, and Michael Ainslie, son-in-law of DeMohrenschildt partner and Bush prep school roommate Edward Gordon Hooker, fine Americans, all!

Why Isn't Wall Street in Jail?

Financial crooks brought down the world's economy — but the feds are doing more to protect them than to prosecute them

...Perhaps themost notorious example involved Gary Aguirre, an SEC investigator who was literally fired after he questioned the agency's failure to pursue an insider-trading case against John Mack, now the chairman of Morgan Stanley and one of America's most powerful bankers....

....We don't know for sure what Mack learned on his Swiss trip; years later, Mack would claim that he had thrown away his notes about the meetings. But we do know that as soon as Mack returned from the trip, on a Friday, he called up his buddy Samberg. The very next morning, Mack was cut into the Lucent deal — a favor that netted him more than $10 million. And as soon as the market reopened after the weekend, Samberg started buying every Heller share in sight, right before it was snapped up by GE — a suspiciously timed move that earned him the equivalent of Derek Jeter's annual salary for just a few minutes of work.

The deal looked like a classic case of insider trading. But in the summer of 2005, when Aguirre told his boss he planned to interview Mack, things started getting weird. His boss told him the case wasn't likely to fly, explaining that Mack had "powerful political connections." (The investment banker had been a fundraising "Ranger" for George Bush in 2004, and would go on to be a key backer of Hillary Clinton in 2008.)

Aguirre also started to feel pressure from Morgan Stanley, which was in the process of trying to rehire Mack as CEO. At first, Aguirre was contacted by the bank's regulatory liaison, Eric Dinallo, a former top aide to Eliot Spitzer. But it didn't take long for Morgan Stanley to work its way up the SEC chain of command. Within three days, another of the firm's lawyers, Mary Jo White, was on the phone with the SEC's director of enforcement. In a shocking move that was later singled out by Senate investigators, the director actually appeared to reassure White, dismissing the case against Mack as "smoke" rather than "fire." White, incidentally, was herself the former U.S. attorney of the Southern District of New York — one of the top cops on Wall Street.

Pause for a minute to take this in. Aguirre, an SEC foot soldier, is trying to interview a major Wall Street executive — not handcuff the guy or impound his yacht, mind you, just talk to him. In the course of doing so, he finds out that his target's firm is being represented not only by Eliot Spitzer's former top aide, but by the former U.S. attorney overseeing Wall Street, who is going four levels over his head to speak directly to the chief of the SEC's enforcement division — not Aguirre's boss, but his boss's boss's boss's boss. Mack himself, meanwhile, was being represented by Gary Lynch, a former SEC director of enforcement.

Aguirre didn't stand a chance. A month after he complained to his supervisors that he was being blocked from interviewing Mack, he was summarily fired, without notice....

.....All of this behavior set the stage for the crash of 2008, when Wall Street exploded in a raging Dresden of fraud and criminality. Yet the SEC and the Justice Department have shown almost no inclination to prosecute those most responsible for the catastrophe — even though they had insiders from the two firms whose implosions triggered the crisis, Lehman Brothers and AIG, who were more than willing to supply evidence against top executives.

In the case of Lehman Brothers, the SEC had a chance six months before the crash to move against Dick Fuld, a man recently named the worst CEO of all time by Portfolio magazine. A decade before the crash, a Lehman lawyer named Oliver Budde was going through the bank's proxy statements and noticed that it was using a loophole involving Restricted Stock Units to hide tens of millions of dollars of Fuld's compensation. Budde told his bosses that Lehman's use of RSUs was dicey at best, but they blew him off. "We're sorry about your concerns," they told him, "but we're doing it." Disturbed by such shady practices, the lawyer quit the firm in 2006.

Then, only a few months after Budde left Lehman, the SEC changed its rules to force companies to disclose exactly how much compensation in RSUs executives had coming to them. "The SEC was basically like, 'We're sick and tired of you people..... — we want a picture of what you're holding,'" Budde says. But instead of coming clean about eight separate RSUs that Fuld had hidden from investors, Lehman filed a proxy statement that was a masterpiece of cynical lawyering. On one page, a chart indicated that Fuld had been awarded $146 million in RSUs. But two pages later, a note in the fine print essentially stated that the chart did not contain the real number — which, it failed to mention, was actually $263 million more than the chart indicated. "They ..... around even more than they did before," Budde says. (The law firm that helped craft the fine print, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, would later receive a lucrative federal contract to serve as legal adviser to the TARP bailout.)

Budde decided to come forward. In April 2008, he wrote a detailed memo to the SEC about Lehman's history of hidden stocks. Shortly thereafter, he got a letter back that began, "Dear Sir or Madam." It was an automated e-response.

"They blew me off," Budde says.

Over the course of that summer, Budde tried to contact the SEC several more times, and was ignored each time. Finally, in the fateful week of September 15th, 2008, when Lehman Brothers cracked under the weight of its reckless bets on the subprime market and went into its final death spiral, Budde became seriously concerned. If the government tried to arrange for Lehman to be pawned off on another Wall Street firm, as it had done with Bear Stearns, the U.S. taxpayer might wind up footing the bill for a company with hundreds of millions of dollars in concealed compensation. So Budde again called the SEC, right in the middle of the crisis. "Look," he told regulators. "I gave you huge stuff. You really want to take a look at this."

But the feds once again blew him off. A young staff attorney contacted Budde, who once more provided the SEC with copies of all his memos. He never heard from the agency again.

"This was like a mini-Madoff," Budde says. "They had six solid months of warnings. They could have done something."

Three weeks later, Budde was shocked to see Fuld testifying before the House Government Oversight Committee and whining about how poor he was. "I got no severance, no golden parachute," Fuld moaned. When Rep. Henry Waxman, the committee's chairman, mentioned that he thought Fuld had earned more than $480 million, Fuld corrected him and said he believed it was only $310 million.

The true number, Budde calculated, was $529 million. He contacted a Senate investigator to talk about how Fuld had misled Congress, but he never got any response. Meanwhile, in a demonstration of the government's priorities, the Justice Department is proceeding full force with a prosecution of retired baseball player Roger Clemens for lying to Congress about getting a shot of steroids ..... "At least Roger didn't screw over the world," Budde says, shaking his head.

Fuld has denied any wrongdoing, but his hidden compensation was only a ripple in Lehman's raging tsunami of misdeeds. The investment bank used an absurd accounting trick called "Repo 105" transactions to conceal $50 billion in loans on the firm's balance sheet. (That's $50 billion, not million.) But more than a year after the use of the Repo 105s came to light, there have still been no indictments in the affair. While it's possible that charges may yet be filed, there are now rumors that the SEC and the Justice Department may take no action against Lehman. If that's true, and there's no prosecution in a case where there's such overwhelming evidence — and where the company is already dead, meaning it can't dump further losses on investors or taxpayers — then it might be time to assume the game is up. Failing to prosecute Fuld and Lehman would be tantamount to the state marching into Wall Street and waving the green flag on a new stealing season....

Given what we do know concerning the Bush family dynasty, their servitude to the very powerful ruling classes, etc. We have every reason to believe, moreso than the alternative, that he/his family was most likely involved in the murder of JFK as well as that entire NWO/MIC, PTB mess that was Latin America, etc. I wouldn't definitively say that that photo is GHWB but again, anyone claiming that Bush was involved is not a "nut" and has every reason to believe the affirmative concerning this question.

I do think it is very likely that George Herbert Walker Bush was deeply involved in the JFK assassination at the age of 39. At the age of 37 he helped to organize the Bay of Pigs invastion. The key to Bush is his close family ties with Allen Dulles which escalated/accelerated his intelligence career and made him a big time player at an early age.

Most folks don't know this, but Lyndon Johnson secretly supported Bush for Congress in 1966. Just like LBJ secretly supported Nelson Rockefeller for president in the spring of 1968. Both moves were related to covering up the JFK assassination.

It is very possible that Ed Lansdale and/or GHW Bush could have been in charge of field operations of the JFK assassination. Ed Lansdale was very close to Allen Dulles and I do think Lansdale was photographed, per Prouty and Krulak, at TSBD.

Imho, it is BUSH who was also photographed at TSBD, having flown back to Dallas from Tyler after the assassination. Bush probably wanted to see how the hit went down. There is ANOTHER photo of GHW Bush that I have seen standing on the Elm Street sidewalk perhaps 20 feet away from where JFK was murdered. That photo is even more clearly a picture of GHW Bush.

I think that GHW Bush became a "made man" in the CIA mafia with the JFK assassination and it was a prelude to his future over-the-top criminal career. GHW Bush and Lyndon Johnson were supported by the SAME folks in Texas: oilmen, military contractors, CIA... and of course, George Brown of Houston of Brown and Root fame. The convention center in Houston is named after George Brown, a big time political player in Texas.

When Lyndon Johnson officially left office in 1969 ... Congressman George Bush of Houston made a point to go there to see him. They were/are on the same team: the murder JFK team.

Well, there is no doubt that, once Turner and Carter retired all those CIA guys, that they turned on them.

But to say that they all became part of a Bush underground intel agency overstates matters.

If one examines the Reagan campaign and October Surprise, which was really the beginning of Iran/Contra, the man controlling the renegade CIA agents appears to be Bill Casey. Bush had a role in both scandals, but the man directing the traffic was Casey. Which would be natural comparing their backgrounds.

Iran/Contra per se was the method of funding the operatives in Nicaragua by using money from those who got wealthy from the BP oil concessions back in the days of Anglo-Persia. But Nicaragua goes back much farther. Real historians might recall, if they look at genealogical material, that Patrick J. Frawley, who was the primary financer of INCA which helped set up Oswald as a patsy, was born in Nicaragua and began his career working on his parents' plantation there. There's so much hidden history that has never been revealed. The best way to know where to look for the evidence, documentary or circumstantial, is to follow the money and trace the genealogies of the players.

Covert Action Information Bulletin #33, Winter 1990

The 1980 campaign: Agents for Bush by Bob Callahan,

George Bush owed his recent political fortune to several old CIA friends, chiefly Ray Cline, who had helped to rally the intelligence community … and started … "Agents for Bush."

Bill Peterson of the Washington Post wrote in a March 1, 1980 article, "Simply put, no presidential campaign in recent memory – perhaps ever – has attracted as much support from the intelligence community as [has] the campaign of former CIA director George Bush."

George Bush’s CIA campaign staff included Cline, CIA Chief of Station in Taiwan from 1958 to 1962; Lt. Gen. Salm V. Wilson and Lt. Gen. Harold A. Aaron, both former Directors of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Also included were retired Gen. Richard Stillwell, once the CIA’s Chief of Covert Operations for the Far East, and at least 25 other retired Company directors, deputy directors and, or, agents.

… Angelo Codevilla, informed a congressional committee that was "aware that active duty agents of the CIA worked for the George Bush primary election campaign. ....

It is my view that Tracy Barnes had nothing to do with the assassination of JFK. Does anyone disagree with me?

Tracy Barnes, like many senior members of the CIA, was a member of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during the war. Barnes was sent to London where he served under David Bruce, the head of SOS operations in England. While in London he spent time with his old friend Paul Nitze. ....

IMO, this is a rich vein needing to be mined.....

Arthur A Houghton, Jr. donated his Maryland shore estate to the Aspen Institute, which was closely associated with Paul Nitze. One of Aspen's missions seems to be to promote the reputation of Henry Crown. Houghton was caught up in this.:

EXTRAORDINARY LIFE

Ellen Gates D'Oench's universe extended from Park Avenue society to the edgiest of avant-garde artists, from Jackie O to the family next door.

"She came from privilege, but she was one of the most down-to-earth people," said Liz Petry, a local author and friend from Middletown.

After spending her early years in Manhattan, D'Oench lived in rural Maryland with her father, John M. Gates, and mother, Elenita Crenshaw Gates. Her father, an artist and director of design for Steuben Glass, was responsible for hiring contemporary artists, including Henri Matisse, who created pieces in crystal that made the company famous.

In college, D'Oench was planning to spend her junior year in Paris with a classmate, Jackie Bouvier. But when she told her longtime boyfriend of her plans, he immediately proposed marriage. She accepted and dropped out of school.

After the 1949 ceremony, the D'Oenches left by seaplane for their honeymoon, and she tossed her bouquet from the air.

Russell D'Oench was interested in journalism and worked for the Berkshire (Mass.) Eagle, then moved with his wife to California, where he bought two small newspapers. They moved later to New York, where he was involved in book publishing, then to Connecticut, where he bought the Middletown Press in 1959 and became its editor.

My Friend, My Mentor

By lizr128

A great, gaping hole opened in the universe when Professor Ellen D’Oench died on May 22.

Her obituary describes the breadth and depth of her contributions to the world as a professional and as a volunteer, but it doesn’t capture the essence of the woman.

Despite her modest disclaimers, she was an awe inspiring person. Ellen Gates grew up in privilege on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in a family that had ties to Steuben glass....

....That impression returned in force when I was working on At Home Inside and she mentioned that her friend Ruth Lord had written a memoir about her own father that I might find helpful. I made a note of it and was floored to learn that Ruth Lord was born Ruth du Pont and the title of the memoir was Winterthur. Her father was Henry F. du Pont, scion of the chemical/gunpowder/ family who designed and built the place that now ranks among the most elegant of museums/estates/gardens in the country.

Eventually I also learned through other channels that her friend Jackie at Vassar was Jackie Bouvier. Puffin never mentioned a last name.

Robert Conover Macauley died last December.:

A Thousand Points of Blight (January 8, 1991)

THE VILLAGE VOICE

...According to one source, Macauley also claimed that he’d served in the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA, during the Second World War (a statement Macauley now denies making). In Paris, Macauley met Peter Grace when, according to Stephen Johnson, the mogul wandered into “either a cathouse or a saloon where Bob was playing the piano. They’re both cut from the same cloth. They’re both very aggressive, very bang-gang, do-it-now kind of guys.”

Macauley eventually launched his own paper mill, which today helps fund AmeriCares. When he formed the Virginia Fibre Corporation in 1973, Macauley put up just $1 million of the $50 million total. He has managed to retain 93 per cent of the capital stock. “I can do pretty much what I want,” he told Forbes in 1985. Virginia Fibre has made Macauley a wealthy man: annual sales are about $100 million, and net profits climbed rapidly from $3 million in 1986 to a formidable $20 million last year. Nine per cent of the company’s pretax profits go directly to AmeriCares, $1.835 million last year.

To ensure tight control of AmeriCares and Virginia Fibre, Macauley places his best players on both teams. The officers of the mill and charity are nearly identical, and Virginia Fibre executives frequently go on AmeriCares missions. President Charles Chandler is also an executive vice-president of AmeriCares; Virginia Fibre VP Clark Johnson is also a VP of the charity. AmeriCares board member Bert Schwarz is a Virginia Fibre board member, as was Father Bruce Ritter, who was also on the AmeriCares board until the Covenant House scandal forced him to resign (see “The Ritter Connection,”)

The charity is also funded by Macauley’s 17 per cent share of the voting stock in Greif Brothers Corp., a closely held Delaware, Ohio, packaging manufacturer. Greif, a considerably larger firm, has made heavy loans to Virginia Fibre, and owns convertible nonvoting stock in the company that gives it the right to take Virginia Fibre over. Both Macauley and Charles Chandler sit on Greif’s board. The company has sales exceeding $400 million and has 102 plants scattered throughout the U.S. and Canada. Macauley has told people his Greif stock is worth several hundred million. He is also a favorite of Greif chairman John Dempsey and is rumored to be in line to succeed him. According to one major shareholder, Greif corporate meetings are frequently dominated by Macauley, who spends most of his time talking about AmeriCares. (Macauley also put Father Ritter into Greif. The biggest portion of a secret Covenant House trust fund set up to benefit Ritter was, according to The New York Times, made up of Greif Brothers stock Ritter purchased in 1982 on Macauley’s advice. By 1990, it was valued at $627,000.)

Greif is distinguished in part by its meshing of religion with business. Every year the back cover of its annual report features a photo of a conference table with a portrait of Jesus centered above it. The caption: “Beneath this portrait and at this conference table for the past 42 years have been made the major decisions of the corporation.”

In addition to Greif, AmeriCares’s most devout supporters include the Reverend Pat Robertson, the fundamentalist former presidential candidate. Robertson’s Christian Broadcasting Network runs Operation Blessing, which distributes tens of millions each year to relief groups, including AmeriCares and the Knights of Malta. Robertson has sometimes been AmeriCares single largest contributor, especially during the years in backed the contras. (There’s another odd wrinkle to the tale: Robertson was also once employed by Peter Grace’s company in Latin America. Grace and Robertson later served together on various political committees, including the one that planned the April 15, 1985, Nicaragua Refugee Fund dinner at which President Reagan began a new campaign to restore official funding to the contras.)

Although AmeriCares is Robert Macauley, nobody better illustrates its ideology than advisory committee chairman Peter Grace, whose $7 billion-dollar conglomerate is involved in chemical production, cocoa processing, oil and gas exploration, and other businesses in 44 countries. He’s also the president of the Knights of Malta in the U.S.

Grace has packed his company’s board with people involved in various ways with rightist political activity. (At least eight Grace directors have been Knights of Malta.) In addition to Macauley, the Grace board is stocked with the likes of Roger Milliken, chairman of Milliken & Company and a large contributor to right-wing groups (including the John Birch Society and Western Goals, a private intelligence-gathering agency that kept data on U.S. activists and supplied it to police departments, which are barred from keeping such files; the group honored Salvadoran death squad leader Roberto D’Aubuisson at a 1984 dinner)....

The Cast of Characters

Roberto Alejos Arzu: On the heels of an easy life on his plantations and a career full of paramilitary affiliations (troops trained for the Bay of Pigs invasion on his land), he became interested in helping the poor through Covenant House, AmeriCares, and the Knights of Malta.

George Bush (and family): His childhood chum Macauley is one of his brightest points of light, and George and the rest of the Bush clan back him to the hilt. The president’s children and even George’s personal physician, Burton J. Lee III, escort AmeriCares shipments into recipient countries. But AmeriCares is no kinder or gentler than might be expected from a charity founded by a close associate of an ex-CIA director.

Zbigniew Brzezinski: AmeriCares’s honorary chairman certainly knows his way around the world. As national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter, he oversaw an extensive covert operation against the Soviets in Afghanistan. In 1984, AmeriCares evacuated wounded mujahideen soldiers from Afghanistan and transported them for care to Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Jeremiah Denton: A Knight of Malta and former Republican senator from Alabama, Denton gave AmeriCares a boost when he sponsored a bill allowing the United States Air Force to use its “surplus capacity” to ship goods for groups like AmeriCares-although other charities say no such help is available to them.

“Amazing” J. Peter Grace: With a direct line to the Vatican and history of playing Latin America like a board game (he has been associated with CIA-assisted coups and is known for his desire to derail progressive labor movements around the world), Grace loved groups like Covenant House, the Knights of Malta, and AmeriCares.

The Knights of Langley: The Knights of Malta, which use AmeriCares to further their international goals, has more spooks than a Halloween party. Among them: former CIA deputy director James Jesus Angleton and former CIA directors John McCone and the late William Casey.

“Saint” Robert Macauley: He grew with George Bush, then met Peter Grace in a postwar Parisian saloon, but it was not until the early ’80s that he got his own piece of the power scene. He funded Mother Teresa’s efforts, then, through AmeriCares and with the help of the press became a “saint” himself.

Ollie North: It just wouldn’t be intrigue without the colonel, who through AmeriCares shipped $350,000 worth of medicine to the contras so the contras could better use their cash-on arms. A 1985 memo to North that mentions Macauley by last name suggests just how tight the connections were.

The Reverend Sun Myung Moon: At the request of North and AmeriCares’s William Simon, Moon paid for that contra shipment through the Nicaraguan Freedom Fund.

Ronald Reagan: In 1984, Reagan gave AmeriCares the presidential Voluntary Action Award; four years later, the Knights of Malta gave him its Grand Cross of Merit, Special Class-the highest honor the group gives a non-Knight. Reagan was awarded, in part, for his “devotion to Christian principles.”

Father Bruce Ritter: Letting Macauley into his humble charity may have been his first misstep. Then came Grace and Simon, expansion and fame, and finally, ignominy.

Pat Robertson: Out of law school, he worked for Peter Grace in Latin America. Then he found his calling and became the world’s number one fundamentalist television preacher. But religious differences didn’t stand in the way of alliances with Catholics with shared agendas-including Peter Grace and the Knights of Malta.

William Simon: A king of mergers and acquisitions, he collected corporations while building a comparable empire of private, political organizations dedicated to fostering the corporate political agenda. He advocated supporting “nonegalitarian” scholars; he loved the AmeriCares brand of charity.

Retired General Richard Stilwell: An architect of counterinsurgency tactics in the Philippines and Vietnam, he was delighted to see them further refined in Latin America. AmeriCares was one of the vehicles that has helped insure that old soldiers need not fade away.

Guess Who’s Not Coming to Dinner

A Blueprint for AmeriCares?

In spite of the direct participation of Bush family members in AmeriCares, the White House sometimes winkingly denies involvement. William Simon told the Washington Post he talked with then White House communications director Patrick J. Buchanan about NFF/AmeriCares 1985 shipments to the contras, and that Buchanan said “they appreciated our efforts and thought what we were doing was very constructive.” But according to Buchanan, his comment did not reflect official administration position on the Nicaraguan fund. “I haven’t talked to anybody about it,” he told the Post. “Bill Simon is an old friend, and I just picked up the phone to say congratulations.”

Buchanan had an early interest in right-wing “charities” like AmeriCares. Back in 1970, he authored the following lengthy memo at Richard Nixon’s request, laying out the notion of conservative “philanthropic” groups that might derail nonprofit groups perceived as “leftist”:

March 3, 1970

The President directed several of us to give thought to how to combat the institutionalized power of the left concentrated in the foundations that succor the Democratic Party.

Following are recommendations both of an offensive and defensive nature-the major one being the creation of a countervailing power outside the Federal government.

The President should direct an in-house group of people preferably outside the Administration to quietly undertake a study of the top 25 foundations in this country; to identify both their leadership and power structure; and to indicate which are friendly, which are potentially friendly; which can be co-opted to support projects the President supports …

Buchanan suggested the White House put together a group that “would be charged with reporting to the President specific options on how we could either influence, take over or create a major institution to accomplish Administration objectives.

“The Administration should begin … to initiate a policy of favoritism in all future Federal grants to those institutions friendly to us … and we should direct future funds away from the hostile foundations, like Brookings….”

Buchanan proposed several ways to fund the operation: “The money men who are behind the Administration could provide the seed money” to get it rolling. In addition, he suggested that it be “pointed out to all Big Contributors to other Institutions, and all the Big Contractors who get Federal money” and to “all the high rollers we know” that it was in their interest to support the new institute, “one of the President’s favorites.”

“The Big Supporters would find themselves on White House Guest Lists, while the friends of Brookings would stay in outer darkness,” he warned.

Buchanan realized that “some of the essential objectives of the Institute would have to be blurred, even buried, in all sorts of other activity” and that “we would have to have people there who knew what was up and agreed to it….” He went on to caution that “if we get the wrong people on the board, or the wrong individuals running it, we would be pouring money down a sewer….”

To run the new institute, the administration was looking for someone who “knew this business and its purposes intimately. Wrong fellow here, a softliner or a hustler, and forget the whole thing.” In the White House, he would have to work closely with “two individuals at the top level-who had the ear of the President at all times…”

Buchanan warned that if, at any time, the conservatives lost control of the White House, “the new incumbent would put a sword to this operation…. Those involved in the operation would have to carry heavy political insurance. At any time there might be a sudden distribution of assets to stockholders.”

The Ritter connection

Robert Macauley’s name is associated with AmeriCares, but he has a lengthy history with another powerful institution, Covenant House. Although Macauley rarely made it into news accounts during the turbulent winter and spring of discontent at Father Bruce Ritter’s youth shelter, he was the power behind the throne-the man who transformed it from a nearly bankrupt, obscure outfit into one of the largest, fastest-growing charities in America.

AmeriCares and Covenant were flip sides of the same coin: AmeriCares, the Reagan-Bush vision of private international charity; Covenant House, the domestic version.

In 1977, Macauley (who’d read about the fledgling charity in the Daily News) called Ritter to offer his help in expanding the operation. To associates, Ritter expressed doubts about Macauley, his grandiose promises, and intentions. But after badgering the dubious Ritter, Macauley eventually succeeded in becoming one of the priest’s closest allies and advisers.

Ritter, a frequent guest at Macauley’s Delray Beach, Florida, home, soon started loaning members of Covenant House’s volunteer Faith Community to Macauley. Twice a year Covenant volunteers ferried Macauley’s cars between his Connecticut and Florida house (after dropping Macauley at the airport, of course). Macauley, through a spokesperson, admitted using Covenant volunteers to drive his cars, but says they were reimbursed for any expenses and given plane tickets home.

Macauley, who was soon calling Ritter his “best friend,” brought Peter Grace and William Simon onto the Covenant board, of which he became chairman. It was these three wise men “who made Bruce go big time,” as a board member told the L.A. Times. In 1978, Grace, who helped Covenant House get its main Times Square area shelter, and Ritter went to Rome, where Ritter addressed an international meeting of the Knights of Malta. At the same time, progressive Pope John Paul I asked the order to return to its hospice roots. (In 1981, Ritter and Macauley met with his successor, the conservative John Paul II.)

According to a source, Macauley told people he was the one who persuaded a reluctant Ritter to raise money by writing monthly anecdotal letters about his “kids.” (Macauley denies any involvement with the letters.) The result: Covenant House received 95 per cent of its fast-growing budget from individual donations, most of them from direct mail. Letters hyped the plight of blond, blue-eyed runaways from Kansas who ended up selling their bodies on the mean streets of New York. However, the vast majority of Covenant’s clients were inner-city minority youth suffering from the loss of social services under Reagan.

Meanwhile, Ritter was being shown other ways to expand. In 1981, Ritter told staffers that the group would open in Phoenix, Arizona, thanks to banker Charles Keating-chief of the failed Lincoln Savings and now indicted for banking fraud-a devout Catholic who flew Mother Teresa around in his plane, as did Grace and Macauley. Keating later loaned Covenant House more than $40 million to finance its real estate acquisitions, which included the Times Square Hotel, a welfare hotel that became a moral hot potato and big money-loser for Ritter. Ritter became involved in Keating’s antipornography group, as well as the Meese Commission on porn, yet another of the White House gang’s favorite distractions from pressing social ills.

Covenant was a single-city operation until one winter day in the early ’80s, when the empire-builders struck. Grace flew Ritter and Macauley on his plane from Florida to Westchester, and Ritter returned to headquarters excited, telling staffers that Grace was ready to put big bucks into making Covenant House grow. “Peter Grace says we can be a $40 million charity one day,” he said. Pushed by Macauley, Grace, and Simon, Ritter was hell-bent on going global. In his office, maps with little flags showed current shelters and proposed new sites.

The first foreign expansion was to be into Latin America. Grace flew Ritter to Rio and other cities, to look for prospective Covenant House sites. In most places, they visited local members of Grace’s group, the Knights of Malta. They eventually settled on Guatemala. Father Jim Joyce, a Jesuit priest now at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, New Jersey, who was a Covenant House child-care worker from 1978 to 1981, objected to the shelter’s expansion there, arguing that Covenant House was playing into the Guatemalan government’s efforts to harass the activist church and promote controllable charitable activities. His complaints were brushed aside by Ritter.

In Guatemala, one of the people instrumental in setting up and running the Covenant operation was Roberto Alejos. The Guatemala shelter, which opened in 1982, was run by a man named John Boyle until he was forced out; Boyle told associates it was because he’d alienated Alejos. To replace Boyle, headquarters sent down 22-year-old Pat Atkinson, a former child-care worker. Last year’s in-house investigation of Covenant House looked into Atkinson’s alleged sexual activities with boys under the shelter’s care. No findings have been made public; nor have charges been brought.

Macauley and William Simon were active in promoting Covenant House’s domestic expansion as well. When plans were announced in late 1988 to open a 100-bed shelter in Hollywood, it was Simon who made the announcement at a Los Angeles area Chamber of Commerce luncheon. However, officials of private L.A. social service agencies had urged Ritter not to open there, saying there were already enough beds in the area, that the shelter was too large, and that it would draw children into the seamy area. Although he had solicited their advice, Ritter now ignored it. The boys were going Hollywood.

Following allegations that Ritter had slept with young male Covenant House residents, it was revealed that he had secreted some of the young men in question at “safe houses,” saying they were on the run from organized crime. According to a source, Macauley’s upstate New York farm was one of the safe houses. Macauley says only that many people from Covenant House were guests at the farm.

Through all of their friendship, and in spite of Macauley’s considerable charm, Ritter felt there was something a bit scary about the AmeriCares founder. “I wouldn’t want to be on Bob Macauley’s wrong side,” Ritter once told a staffer. “The people he knows…”

WORLD MONEY POWER III

Charles Savoie

....Otto Kahn of The Pilgrims---a director of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) from 1921-1934--- was written up in "The Mirrors of Wall Street" (1933 by anonymous) on pages 164-177. Page 165 says---

"No other man I ever met---least of all a many of money---gave me such a satisfying feeling of exuberant kindliness and all-pervading love of humanity as this cosmopolitan banker."

Considering the purges and massacres that took place in Russia most notably under Stalin, the statement about Otto Kahn appears to be a textbook case of contradiction and hypocrisy. Pages 166-167---

"Otto Kahn's father left Germany in 1848 as a result of the revolution and came to the United States, to return to the Fatherland ten years later as a representative of an American bank. The son grew up in Germany but was sent to London by the Deutsche Bank and became a British citizen. Later he moved from the Deutsche Bank to Speyer and Company, and he was so enamored of England that he just missed going to Parliament. He led a daughter of the house of Kuhn, Loeb and Company to the altar. He became an American citizen, despite the protests of his English friends."

In The Pilgrims Society we aren't speaking only of American and British banks, but also of the big European banks. British nobility is heavily intermarried with European royalty which has figured prominently in ownership of those banks since the beginning. Banking families such as the Rothschilds especially, and the Warburgs, are heavy influences in many European banks. Antony Sutton, the original proponent of the discredited theory that Skull & Bones Society runs the United States, nevertheless wrote two other well researched books, "Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution" (reprinted 1993) and "Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler" (reprinted 1993). Glancing at financiers identified in these books we find the usual assortment of Pilgrim Society members, most of them "underground" in their Who's Who listings (they omitted the fact) but identified elsewhere, in the three rare books mentioned in December, and in the Congressional Record. Gary Allen, in his 1976 book "The Rockefeller File," has a chapter from pages 99 through 125 entitled, "Building the Big Red Machine," detailing Rockefeller family support for Russian Communism over the years. It could be that empire was becoming somewhat independent of them, hence the break-up of the old U.S.S.R. into many separate nations, leaving Russia itself as the major entity. He had a similar chapter in "None Dare Call it Conspiracy" (1971, pages 111-126). The Morgan interests also supported the Communist revolutionary cause in Russia, with at least $1 million in funds identified in one instance (Washington Post, February 2, 1918).

The Associated Press, October 20, 1969, announced that International Basic Economy Corporation (IBEC), a Rockefeller brothers holding, acquired as partners in Soviet trade, industrialization and development, the firm of N.M. Rothschild & Sons of London. Possibly the two most important names in The Pilgrim Society took an interest in building Communism. On July 17, 1973, Pilgrim Society member David Rockefeller urged Congress to grant the Soviet Union most favored nation trading status (United Press International.) In Allen's 1971 book, page 85, take note---

"In one country after another Communism has been imposed on the population from the top down. The most prominent forces for the imposition of that tyranny came from the United States and Great Britain."

In simple language, The Pilgrims New York and London, the leading organization of super rich, spread Communism to over 12 million square miles of planet earth. The Soviet delegation to the United Nations was originally located in a mansion across from the Pilgrim Society front, the Council on Foreign Relations. That mansion was owned by Pilgrim Society member Percy Rivington Pyne II, grandson of Moses Taylor, who owned over 208,000 railroad shares as of 1864, with an average price of $240 a share---a fortune of some $50 millions! ("Secrets of the Federal Reserve," page 65, see also "History of the Great American Fortunes.") Percy Pyne II, born 1882, had interests in National City Bank; Delaware & Hudson Railroad; Empire Trust; Farmers Loan & Trust; Princeton Bank & Trust; Commercial Trust; Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Coal; New Amsterdam Gas; Morris & Essex Railroad; Syracuse & Binghampton Railroad; Lackawanna Steel; United New Jersey Railroad; East River Gas Company; Oswego & Syracuse Railroad and many others and was a Princeton University trustee. As of 1994 another Pyne, Eben Wright Pyne, turned up on The Pilgrims executive committee, and was an executive with National City Bank of New York (forerunner of Citigroup) and was a director of Long Island Lighting; U.S. Life Insurance; City Investing Company; Home Insurance Company; W.R. Grace & Company and others.....(/quote)

Eben Pyne, a patrician banker who helped Gov. Nelson A. Rockefeller mold New York's suburban transit system from a tangle of decrepit railroad lines, died Wednesday night at his home in Hobe Sound, Fla. He was 89.

........................................

Mr. Pyne was a senior officer of a New York bank that grew into Citicorp when Governor Rockefeller recruited him in 1964 to help rescue the failing Long Island Rail Road. That railroad, the largest commuter line in the country, carrying 260,000 passengers a day on several branches, had been in a financial tailspin for years.

By the early 1960s, its principal owner, the equally moribund Pennsylvania Railroad, was looking to unload it.

The governor appointed Mr. Pyne to a panel of New York lawyers, bankers and business executives whose mission was to come up with a plan to salvage the line. Mr. Pyne was a natural choice for the task: he was a well-connected investment banker who knew about public financing, as well as a regular Long Island Rail Road rider.

Under the chairmanship of William J. Ronan, the secretary to the governor, the panel came up with a $200 million modernization program, which formed the basis of a proposal that the governor took to the State Legislature in 1965, winning its approval...

Gentleman, there is no memo that links Bush to the JFK assassination, Period.

What Hankey did to the Hoover memo was a disgrace, which Seamus exposed as nothing but fabrication.

What Baker does with the Parrot memo is not quite as bad, but its in the same league.

There is no credible evidence that links Bush to the CIA prior to the Bay of Pigs.

Thus there is no evidence that Bush was a CIA officer or agent before 1963.

And what Baker did to implicate Bush in Watergate as a CIA operative is nothing but vapor, which I was at pains to detail.

The incredible thing about this book is that it basically ignores what the true crimes of the Bush family are, to try and insinuate them in crimes for which there is next to no evidence.

I am sure Bush worked with the CIA but that does not mean he was just an agent who takes orders. Why try to finger Bush as an agent who would have to take orders when his family connections were way above that agency. It is like ignoring that all these agencies deal with private contractors... there is even the Domestic Contacts division I am sure your aware of. If Bush was an agent he would have to deny it if he wanted to get elected because of questions he could no longer put off... the public would not elect him even if he admitted to being an important family asset to the “Company" family or bigger than that an asset to the much larger national security police State.

They don’t say they are with any agency they say “national security” which could be anything and any combination of agencies and private contractors working together on some secret need to know activity. It could even be the National Security Agency.

George Bush wanted me to spy on my family around 52, My Dad was a Communist so all agencies were able and ready to spy on Americans.. This is what came out during the 70’s after Watergate. I was and now everyone is Fair Game in this War system.

Now the JFK Coup needed more patsies than Oswald if Oswald lived and If Ruby hadn't killed him My friend Phil Ochs who was filmed in Dallas and went as a National Security Observer and I would have been killed. I was abducted that day but luckily made it back home to LA on Sunday and if Oswald would have talked or gone to trial I doubt I would have been here to tell the tale.

I saw Bush talking to Hoover late afternoon on the shadow chartered Bus. That was the important meeting and since Hoover knew more than he would say and had his files destroyed before he died the call Bush made to Houston FBI was a signal for him and Hoover to try and get a handle on the loose cannon Cuban Invasion operations which Kruschev warned would mean WAR.

Bush was not a hit man he was a rich cover up artist... the coup was the cover up and that is worse than the killing of JFK.

Jim, I like your review of the new movie about the killing of Osama and you do good work but to understand the role Bush Played I have a better Idea because I was There. I wrote to Obama about this and asked for a meeting with Bush, W. and Bill Clinton.

I don’t expect results but I will not stop working for the truth.

I suspect Bush's rise to DCI at CIA was accomplished through the same long service in sensitive areas (and geopolitical hotspots) as was Porter Goss's rise. Bush's particular career track has yet to be plotted as well as Goss's by researchers.

Huh? According to Wikipedia you were born in 1942 so you would have been 9 - 10 years-old at the time. You can't have been born much before that if you were a college roommate of Phil Ochs.

So, what is your secret, Robert Morrow?

Considering that I suspect my recent research results in this area indicate to me that I am "getting warm," I find Mr. Morley, "the journalist" to be conducting

himself in a troubling and very curious manner. Then again, he's the guy with the resume and I am just an insignificant person who has never passed a

gate he did not want to open. Are all the gates supposed to be kept closed?

You are quite misinformed "Operation Zapata" was named after the landing site on the Zapata Peninsula near the eponymous swamps, A previous plan was named “Operation Trinidad” after the landing site near the town of Trinidad. Barbara Pierce did not have a middle name and it seems the ship was already named the 'Barbara J.' when acquired by the CIA, it was codenamed 'Barracuda' for the BoP.

As for the memo, you need to reread it.

PS – Who is “Jim”?
