QUOTE (Vince Palamara @ Jun 13 2007, 07:07 AM) *
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Vince Palamara graduated from Duquesne University in 1988 with a degree in Sociology. Although not even born when President John F. Kennedy was brutally assassinated, Vince brings fresh eyes to an old case. In fact, Vince would go on to study the largely overlooked actions - and inactions - of the United States Secret Service in unprecedented detail, as well as achieving a world's record in the process, having interviewed and corresponded with over SEVENTY former agents (the HSCA had the old record of 46 with a 6 million dollar budget and supboena power from Congress), not to mention many surviving family members, White House aides, and even quite a few Parkland and Bethesda medical witnesses for a corresponding project. The result was "Survivor's Guilt; The Secret Service & The Failure To Protect The President", a very successful self-published book that sold thousands of copies in the 1990's before becoming a free online e-book in
2006:

http://www.assassinationresearch.com/v4n1.html

In addition, the aforementioned corresponding project on the JFK assassination medical evidence, "JFK: The Medical Evidence Reference", Vince's second book, although almost an afterthought to Vince's main area of research, still sold hundreds of copies and was favorably mentioned in books by William Law, R. Andrew Kiel, Prof. James Fetzer, and even Vince Bugliosi. Like his first book, Vince's medical evidence tome became a free online e-book in 2006:

http://www.assassinationresearch.com/v4n2.html

All told, Vince has been favorably mentioned in over 42 JFK and Secret Service related books to date (including two whole chapters in "Murder In Dealey Plaza", "The Secret Service: The Hidden History Of An Enigmatic Agency" by Prof. Philip Melanson, and the Final Report of the Assassination Records Review Board, among many others), often at length, in the bibliographies, and in the Secret Service - and even medical evidence - areas of these works. Vince has appeared on the History Channel, local cable access television, YouTube, radio, newspapers, print journals, at national conferences, and all over the internet. Also, Vince's original research materials, or copies of said materials, are stored in the National Archives (by request under Deed Of Gift by the ARRB), the JFK Library, Harvard University, the AARC, and the Dallas Public Library. In that time, Vince Palamara has become known (as he was dubbed by the History Channel in 2003) "the Secret Service expert." As former JFK Secret Service agent Joe Paolella proclaimed: "You seem to know a lot about the Secret Service, maybe even more than I do," while fellow JFK Secret Service agent Chuck Zboril stated" "You might be helpful to the official Secret Service historian who works out of Washington!"

Here are some other important links (ALSO: my [edited] 5-part 3/22/07 major presentation from Slippery Rock University, as well as my 2003 History Channel appearance, is available online via YouTube; the links are included):

Welcome to the Forum. In my opinion, you are one of the most important JFK researchers that we have.

Please use this thread if you have any questions you would like to ask Vince about his work.

Vince,

I want to thank you for the fantastic work you've done in calling attention to the secret service and in documenting their behavior.
I think it's the aspect of the assassination that people have the most trouble with. And that's saying a lot in this case.

For those, like me, who believe the SS was complicit it helps immensely to have your e-book as a resource.
I've read it and consider it one of the most important books on the assassination.

Vincent,

So we've moved from sharing podiums to sharing Internet forums ...

So be it. Know that you're among some of the most educated, erudite, accomplished, and honorable JFK researchers extant -- and a few Mockingbirds, but what the hell!

Good to have you aboard. George Michael sends his best.

Charles

I met Vince at a Jerry Rose JFK conference in Fredonia New York about 1991. He has done tremendous work over the years and it's an honor to have him on this forum.

He writes the definitive analysis of the Secret Service, but do they call him "Vince the Investigator"? Nooooo ...

He establishes new benchmarks for doggedness and excellence in research, but do they call him "Vince the Master Researcher"?

Nooooo ...

Make ONE wrong-headed endorsement ...

Sorry, but I couldn't resist reworking the old "Sammy the Bridge Builder" joke. And if you don't know this wonderful meditation on the nature of fame, hunt it down.

Myra,

Your choice of icon speaks to a familiarity with the joke in question.

Seriously -- and I'll say this directly to my friend Vince -- his endorsement of "Ultimate Sacrifice" is indeed a major gaff. Perhaps he would like to join our discussion and defend his assessment.

Vince's compilation of the witnesses who reported the LIMOUSINE STOPPING
is perhaps his most important work! Talk to us, Vince!

Yes Charles, and he flogged Ultimate Sacrifice within approximately 1 quadrillion other book reviews on Amazon so it's almost impossible to miss.

(Vince, if you don't post soon we'll just talk behind your back.)

rolleyes.gif Hi, everyone. I deeply appreciate all the nice things you all had to say; it means alot. smile.gif It is so nice to see Jerry Rose '91 vets (Nick and Charles)+ Jack White (Lancer '97), etc.

EXPLANATION TIME RE: "ULTIMATE SACRIFICE"---

I was very impressed with the depth of research (and some of the Secret Service/ Bolden info., most of which came from myself)...the CONCLUSIONS may not (necessarily) have held up as much, circa 2007, but, then again, I am a huge fan of several books for their RESEARCH, not so much the ultimate conclusion (s) contained therein. O.k., I confess: I guess I went a little overboard with the mass "Ultimate Sacrifice is the best book" Amazon reviews lol---this is what happens when you have idle time at work LOL...at that particular juncture, late 2005, I was absolutely CONVINCED that this was going to be THE last major book on the case (honest)...so, warts and all, I wanted to give it a huge "send off", so to speak. This is NOT to excuse my gushing endorsement---time has been kind to the research aspect of the book (and, as David Talbot has even confessed, many 'little gems' contained therein; let's not throw the baby out with the bathwatwer, so to speak), perhaps not the main conclusion (s).

Speaking of David Talbot, whose book I love, he phoned me in early 2005 re: his book in progress...and, honestly, I thought "Ultimate Sacrifice" would steal his thunder and his book would never see the light of day (I was absolutely convinced that Waldron and Hartmann's book was THE last major book on the case...there WAS a drought post-Posner, and I didn't even think Bugliosi's would come out [his book is incredible for length, research and being the best LHO-did-it book...BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN i AGREE WITH HIS CONCLUSIONS!!!!! smile.gif ]

So, if I had to do it over again, I would have kept the main review at the "Ultimate Sacrifice" cite and perhaps toned down the other reviews lol. Again, and idle mind is a devil's workshop...and posting reviews at Amazon is easy and free:)

Remember, it is the context of the time that determines one's destiny...
