I'm looking in to buying a new boat in the next few months and I've got it narrowed down to a few models (I think). My question is this: what have you heard, the good, the bad, the ugly, about Sea Hunt boats? I'm looking at their Triton 220 CC. From what I have seen so far it is a reasonably priced boat with a pretty good set up for fishing/recreational fun. Have any of you had any experience with this boat in particular? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Tight Lines,
Graham

MY BOAT: Retired ....... Now just your

Don't know much about them. Saltwater is tuff though ... A tell-tell sign about a boat builders attention to the boats quality and durability is its hardware, cleats ect. Look for 316 grade stainless steel. It usually signals quality workmanship throughout. If it's 316 they usally tell you, if not they just say "stainless".

When I was looking, I was advised to stay away from Sea Hunts. (Maybe 'cause the guy was trying to sell me a boat that cost 2x as much....).

Are they made by the same people that make Sea Pro? They look a lot alike. My son has had a Sea Pro for a few years now - actually a pretty nice boat..
