It remains vital to seek out the names and political persuasion of Walker trained, 24th division "Special Shooting Team" members. Robert, I was in the 24th Signal Battalion from October 1959 to May 1962. I was on Flak Kaserne (the one with the lantern over the hole in the fence way down behind the hospital). I had looked up General Walker and found this page.........reading them reminded me of a night I had duty in the Radio Control Center (in the basement of the HQ building and 30 seconds to the back door of the EM club). I received a call one morning around 0600-0630 and I immediately recognized the voice as that of the General. He asked me if I would have the Officer of the Day send someone to pick him up, his driver had parked in the garage and committed suicide. I will never forget the nonchalance in his voice.L. Not only did Walker get into trouble over disobeying Presidential Orders, he also came under scrutiny for his surveillance of soldiers under his command. By late 62 he had resigned and was leading the armed insurrection against the Federal Government in Oxford, Mississippi, facing a huge Federal force that successfully suppressed it, and after his release, on top of everything else, had reason to hate Kennedy with a vengeance. Hanging the Flag upside down is telling. He'd aready stepped over the line. Yet there was little investigation into right wingers under Hoover. Funnily enough much was made out of Lee's refusal to salute the flag at school, and later 60's flag burnings. Good for the goose good for the gander? (as in Oxford the issue of (ed : was ) segregation ][ de-segregation) clarification : ...though in Oxford his 'orders' were from elsewhere... (see Evers murderer heartened in court by attention from Walker and the Gov of Mississippi). He'd stepped way over the line and was finally essentially Confederate soldier. Maybe he always was? Anyway, he was touted as the mythical Aryan 'man on a white horse', unlike Kennedy, characterised by DMH editor as something less (ed: earlier in 6 at white house luncheon.) BK Hi, Bill Numbers of Walker's Munich riflemen, likely a close small group could have been known, or known about, by the main unit individuals. Some of them involved in Dallas treason poster{s} were politically involved and may or not, have been in the Special Munich rifle team. The Munich Team was likely less than twenty-five? Mark Knight in his post above has mentioned the name of a person,with website, who may well know many such details. Also add Larry Crafard, the roustabout from the Texas State Fair that Jack Ruby hired and gave a back room at the Carousel Club to live in, who Peter Whitmey has located and interviewed. Crafard said he had just got out of the Army and was stationed in Germany. I also have excerpts from Harry Dean's manuscript Crosstrails that I will post, with Harry's permission, and am looking for a good place to post it that's already started. This might be the place.
