In the 1990s O'Reilly did some incisive Kennedy pieces on a TV show called Hard Copy, and also some on discrepancies in the War on Drugs, such as on US corporations contravening export laws to get cocaine-extracting chemicals into Latin America. I don't know what happened to O'Reilly since then, excepting money and mockingbirds.

Despite all his fans, I regard Bill Maher's prompting of his studio audience to shout down his 9/11 conspiracy guests to be the despicable equivalent of Johnny Carson's dismissal of Jim Garrison. Worse, perhaps, because it didn't seem to upset Maher in the least.

After the big success of "Killing Lincoln," Bill O'Reilly is back on the case of a presidential assassination. The Fox News host and best-selling author is collaborating with Martin Dugard on "Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot." Henry Holt and Company announced Thursday the book will come out this fall. O'Reilly says in a statement that "Killing Kennedy" will "answer many questions" about the death of JFK, who was murdered on Nov. 22, 1963.

http://www.washingto...pTHR_story.html

It might be worth sending Bill O'Reilly what you have on the assassination.

And/or Martin Dugard.

http://www.martindugard.com/contact/

1) I highly recommend that JFK researchers send both Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard their very best information, books recommendations and web links on the JFK assassination. We don't know what the man will write, so let's give him (them) all we have. Personally, I am not optimistic about O'Reilly, like Geraldo, he sold out a long time ago. But you never know and it is worth giving a try.

2) I have contacted Dugard through his web page. Bill O'Reilly's email address is Oreilly@foxnews.com .

I would send both men all of your best insights on the JFK assassination. And, collectively, we could make a big difference in how the subjected is approachedy by O'Reilly & Dugard.

I sent Dugard an email a little while ago. I hope he looks into it.

What are you talking about? Maher prompting his audience to shout down his guests? I must have missed that one. I remember an incident a few years back where "truthers" in Maher's audience tried to take over his show, by screaming from the audience, and he told them where to stick it. Is that what you're thinking of?

Why is Martin Dugard being mentioned?

Is he co-author/ghost author of the O'Reilly book?

No joke.

Please answer.

Thanks to anyone who will,

BK

Martin Dugard helped O'Reilly write his book on Lincoln; now he is helping O'Reilly write a book on the JFK assassination. Here is a link: http://books.usatoda...nation/629329/1

Thank you Robert for answering my question, and Gary Mack, who responded too.

And Jim, I too think that O'Reilly's former reporting on the subject should be compiled and reposted as I know he did some interesting work on DeMohrenshcildt and the CIA's Moore.

Jerry Policoff says:
I interviewed O'Reilly for a piece I co-authored in the Village Voice back in the JFK movie days. He was the co-host of Inside Edition back then and had not yet gone insane. He actually ran a segment on Inside Edition about the 14 or so Federal agents who had been revealed to have infiltrated the Garrison investigation. He thought the piece was so important that he held a press conference to promote it. Of course no mainstream media showed up. He expressed his astonishment to USA Today, and I interviewed him as a follow-up. He repeated to me that he could not understand how the media could not even show up at a press conference on such an important issue.

Now that he works for FOX it will be interesting to see if he is still so indignant.

Jerry Policoff

Wow, so there is a lot more to nail him on than I realized. Not that it will make a bit of difference. But it will be all in the record. He can just say he came to his senses and changed his mind. Lies of course. I doubt he reads his email and doubt further that whoever does will pass on any from a CTer.

Pat, the episode has rather entered the history of journalism in the way I described it. Maher got no points from anyone for that exhibition.

Bill O'Reilly was a really good television journalist and interviewer around 20 years ago when he was younger and hungrier.

He did a great documentary piece on child pornography in Denmark (I'm pretty sure it was Denmark, but it could have been Holland) before it was even illegal.

He then interviewed the same person, who I believe was with the government in some capacity, around 15 years later, after the conduct had been outlawed.

Now, he has enough money to charter a bank, and his television show is awful.

I am not going to buy this book unless it somehow gets good reviews on this forum.

I am going to buy it and when I review it I am going to say exactly what I think about it. Remember this: for every one person who buys the book, perhaps five, ten, twenty, or thirty will read the reviews and not buy the book. So I welcome this opportunity to clarify any errors in the book, if any exist.

    ALSO ===>

I would bet my house, my car, and my bank account that the Clintons & Buddy Young sent 3 Arkansas state trooper goons to beat the living hell out of and nearly murder Gary Johnson (the lawyer for Larry Nichols & neighbor of Gennifer Flowers) on June 26, 1992. They did this because Gary Johnson had security camera videotapes of Bill Clinton often entering Gennifer's condo. The Clintons were denying the Bill/Gennifer affair at that time. The Clinton thugs then stole the tapes. Watch the "New Clinton Chronicles" and go to minute 48 for the Gary Johnson interview.

I suggest that people contact Martin Dugard at http://www.martindugard.com/contact/ and give him your best information relating to the JFK assassination. Ditto Bill O'Reilly at Oreilly@foxnews.com .

Hopefully, they will put some "truth" into the book. I do plan to buy the book and review it whether it is good, bad or ugly.

I did not think much of Baker's book, but he does keep at it. He deserves kudos for this piece, and so does Salon.

Note the payoff at the end: Roger Ailes put the kabosh on him and JFK. I figured as much.

Its the way the world works.

I do think a lot of Russ Baker's book and his treatment of the GHW Bush and the JFK assassination. I think was one of the CIA players making it happen on the ground for the Texas oil men. "Family of Secrets" is one of the top 5 books I recommend on the JFK assassination: http://www.amazon.co...30234210&sr=1-1

How about the sell out of Geraldo Rivera? Just before he came onto FOX he announced on TV that he thought all shots to JFK came from behind and that there was no conspiracy and that Lee Harvey Oswald did it.

Kathleen Collins, Education Forum member, remembers seeing Geraldo say this on TV. She says it was just before he moved from CNBC to FOX. I bet it was a requirement of the move.

Geraldo Rivera was the one who in 1975 first showed the Zapruder Film on national TV. He did it with legendary JFK researcher and American hero Robert Groden and Dick Gregory.

The behavior of Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera remind me of the Peter in the Bible; with the "truth in the JFK assassination" being substituted for Christ. So how many times will Bill O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera deny the truth in the JFK assassination before the rooster crows?

It was 3 times for Peter; but for the O'Reilly and Geraldo there may be no limit.

Matthew 26:34 (also Luke 22:34, John 13:38)
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "this very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times."

Mark 14:30

"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "today - yes, tonight - before the rooster crows twice you yourself will disown me three times."

Mark 14:66-72

While Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant girls of the high priest came by. When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked closely at him.

"You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus," she said.

But he denied it. "I don't know or understand what you're talking about," he said, and went out into the entryway.

When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, "This fellow is one of them." Again he denied it.

After a little while, those standing near said to Peter, "Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean."

He began to call down curses on himself, and he swore to them, "I don't know this man you're talking about."

Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: "Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me three times." And he broke down and wept.

O'Reilly and Dugard's Killing Kennedy is scheduled to be released in a week. Coming on the heels of their highly successful Killing Lincoln, O'Reilly is sure to be on dozens
of TV and radio shows, tirelessly promoting the book. He has already made many stong claims, including that "his book will prove" Oswald killed Kennedy.

It will be interesting to see if the news networks present any alternative views. Given his history with Fox, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jim Fetzer make an appearance.

It would seem to be a possible opportunity for Jim DiEugenio to talk to some of the media outlets about the upcoming release of his Destiny Betrayed. In fact, this might
be the best chance in a long time (and for a long time, even considering November 2013) for opponents of the official version to be heard and read.

In any event, there is likely to be a lot of discussion in the news about the Kennedy Assassination. That is, to the extent it can get squeezed in between the Presidential election coverages.

This excerpt from O'Reilly's book speaks for itself: http://images.billor...mpleChapter.pdf

Get ready for a lot of controversy. This thread will heat up in a week or two. There will be new ones. O'Reilly's book is going to be a fairly
big deal, because he is looking for a million seller and is guaranteed to get tons of publicity based on the popularity of Killing Lincoln.

http://www.billoreil...killing-kennedy

O'Reilly and Dugard's bestselling book, Killing Lincoln, contained no footnotes. That sort of says it all.

Killing Kennedy is little more than an attempt to piggyback on the commercial success of their Lincoln book.

http://www.washingto...itical-bookworm

I can see O'Reilly now, promoting his book on Fox, talking about all the conspiracy kooks that emailed them. He may have something there.

On his book page, I've asked O'Reilly to accept my Challenge: $25,000 to him if he can prove my book wrong. He hasn't accepted. Guess that's not the publicity he's looking for.

In your reviews of his book, just ask him when he'll be accepting that Challenge. His silence will speak volumes.

Oh boy, you need to get some main stream media publicity for this challenge to Bill O'Reilly. That challenge is a very important tool when applied at the right point and O'Reilly is one of those points!

But Mike:

He cannot turn his back and say I did not say any of that stuff back in the 80's and 90's because he did. Ifs on video, on You TUbe.

And he did some pretty good stuff because the guy giving him a lot of the info on background was Gaeton Fonzi. His report on the murder of George DeM is really good for TV.

I know this since Fonzi told me about it. There is no doubt he was in the WC was BS camp back then.

So if he does an about face we can attack him with a lot of shells.

Jim,
Of course it will be an about face. Like we can actually DO anything about that? We can email him and remind him of his past but I bet you dinner that his book will be cover story all the way.

My God, this is even worse than I thought it would be.

Oswald was scoping out the turn at Elm and Houston since he had already selected his sniper's nest spot on the sixth floor?

What a howler.

Oswald had to ask about why there was such commotion outside since he was unaware of the motorcade that day.

And if he had picked out the sixth floor then why did he come downstairs as early as he did? And why can only the lying Givens put him upstairs anywhere near the time of the shooting?  In other words there is not one credible witness who puts him upstairs before the shooting. And then there is VIctoria Adams who never saw him come down the stairs afterwards.

Then he calls Oswald a marksman. This is a guy who was one point above the lowest rung in the classifications by the time he left the service. And the men who saw him said the only way he even made it at all was that the officers let him repeat fire after he missed everything.

This is just in one half page of the book.

Then later on he says Oswald did not plan on eating that day! Yet witnesses saw him in the Domino Room preparing to do just that. And he told more than one person what he brought for lunch.

He even says that Oswald was upstairs moving boxes into position!  Uh Bill, if that is so then why did Bonnie Ray WIlliams not see him do that? And he had to since Oswald was seen downstairs at about 12:15 to 12:20. And he has Oswald firing through the scope of the MC! Which makes it virtually impossible to get off the three shots in six seconds.

Bill O has sold out his soul for the big bucks.

And just who here is surprised????? Really very sad because a lot of people will read it. He's a first class pig and has a lot of power. Remember a few years back a woman made some pretty scary accusations against him and he buried her.
