Pat Speer
Here is an online transcript of the 5-9-16 Rachel Maddow show, in which she discussed Robert Morrow's newfound influence on Donald Trump, via Roger Stone. While an intelligent discussion of the issues on a highly influential show would be welcomed, this type of attention--in which Morrow's thoughts on the JFK assassination are lumped in with his other obsessions and odd behavior--are quite damaging, IMO. Morrow (and Stone) are the only members of the JFK research community to have the ear of a prominent politician, and they choose to use their influence to focus the nation's attention on Bill Clinton's decades-old infidelities? EMBARRASSING. (COMMERCIAL BREAK) MADDOW: Travis County, Texas, is a blue dot in deep red Texas. Itcontains the capital city of Austin, a very liberal place. But TravisCounty, Texas, does have a local Republican Party and the Travis CountyRepublican Party now has one month until its new chairman takes office. And then things are going to get interesting, because the new chair is thisguy. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) ROBERT MORROW: My focus as the chair of the Travis County Republican Partyis more so political truth telling than Lyndon Johnson murdered JohnKennedy, and that George Herbert Walker Bush murdered Barry Seal, and thatHillary Clinton murdered everybody in Waco. The reason I`m wearing thejester`s cap and the joker`s hat is to say I`m not the joker, I`m not thejester. You are. (END VIDEO CLIP) MADDOW: His name is Robert Morrow. And he is preparing to take over asthe duly elected chairman of the Travis County Republican Party. Will hewear the hat when he presides over meetings? He does wear it on hisTwitter profile. So, maybe. I have to say, I`m still a little scarred from looking at this Twitter feedon election night in March, when he was elected to chair that countyRepublican Party. That night, he decided to use Twitter to promote hismost recent book. Those tweets included him calling Rick Perry a, quote,“rampaging bi-sexual adulterer.” There`s also this one about HillaryClinton, which I`m just going to skip again. There was this one about presidential timber. And it`s self-explanatory.It doesn`t need my help. But you can still buy the book from the guy newly elected to run theRepublican Party in the part of Texas where the governor lives, in thestate capital. And that would be very exciting for Texas Republicans. But he`s apparently reaching way beyond Travis County, and way beyondTexas. One of Mr. Morrow`s favorite insane rant topics is what he callsHillary Clinton`s terror campaigns on Bill Clinton`s sex victims. His bookclaims to reveal, quote, “For the first time, how Bill and Hillary Clintonsystematically abused women.” Bill and Hillary Clinton. Mr. Morrow has a co-author in this book, Roger Stone, who`s a long-timefriend and adviser to Donald Trump. He`s been making the rounds of rightwing media recently saying that Hillary Clinton`s supposed advocacy forwomen is bogus. Quote, “When women voters learn how Hillary has bulliedand intimated Bill Clinton`s various sexual assault victims, I don`t thinkthere`s going to be a lot of sympathy for Hillary Clinton.” To help these women voters learn about these allegations, Roger Stone hasformed a political action committee called – this is true – called RapePAC. He`s promising an all-woman swift boat action against HillaryClinton. And you know what? A palpably insane conspiracy theorist in Texas andRoger Stone wrote a book and they`re just trying to promote it. It`s liketwo unhinged people just screaming into a paper bag, right? Until it`s not. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) TRUMP: She`s married to a man who is the worst abuser of women in thehistory of politics. She`s married to a man who hurt many women andHillary, if you look and see a study, Hillary hurt many women, the womenthat he abused. And Hillary was an enabler and she treated these womenhorribly, just remember this. And some of those women were destroyed, not by him but by the way thatHillary Clinton treated them after everything went down. So just rememberthat, folks. So just remember that when you`re watching these phony adsput out by Hillary Clinton. Just remember, when you`re watching these phony, paid for by Wall Streetads, put out by Hillary Clinton about Donald Trump, and just remember Isaid it, there is nobody that has more respect for women than me. (END VIDEO CLIP) MADDOW: Donald Trump has been the presumptive Republican nominee for lessthan a week. So far, it appears that his first line of attack for thegeneral election is taken directly from a book by Roger Stone and aconspiracy theorist who wears a jester hat, whose tweets are jaw droppingeven by Donald Trump standards. This is where we thought the campaign was going to end up. I`m not sure Iexpected it would start here. But this is where it`s starting. Pat Speer
Thanks for the post Pat, Would anybody like to explain why Morrow is no longer allowed to post here? I don't know if I'd like to, but I will. I'm not completely informed regarding his current status, but Robert was on and off moderation for years. He couldn't make a post about the assassination without discussing the lurid details of LBJ's or JFK's sex life. It seemed clear 1) he was obsessed with the sex lives of famous politicians (including the Clintons, the Bushes, and Rick Perry), and 2) he was not discriminating in what he considered evidence, i.e., he considered every bit of gossip worth repeating, and "proof" his target was a pervert of some kind. We warned him about this many times, and I exchanged numerous emails with Robert imploring him to keep his posts free of needless sexual details, but he just couldn't separate LBJ's and JFK's sex lives from their role in history. James DiEugenio
This is so bad, it really makes me wonder if Roger Stone put Morrow up to running for that spot. If I recall, I think that may be true.
Pat Speer
Just a thought. I'm wondering if the thought of Robert Morrow becoming the most prominent and influential conspiracy theorist in the country was too much for Mark Lane. If so, I totally understand. Douglas Caddy
In a sense Robert Morrow was ahead of his time in being consumed with the sex lives and sexual hypocrisies of politicians. The 2016 election campaign saw Trump on national TV getting off a campaign bus after being recorded about boasting of a recent adultery and other gross sexual matters, such his habit of as grabbing the private parts of women. Then there was his attempt to pay off two women he had sex with, this in the closing days of the campaign so that the voters were kept in the dark. This has resulted in a criminal investigation of the pay-offs. There are many other public scandals involving Trump and his adulterous actions. Morrow's preoccupation with sexual matters pales when contrasted with President Trump's gross sexual exploits.

Characterizing the groping of crotches and paying off prostitutes as sexual exploits really misses the mark. I think most us can all look back on our sexual exploits with a reverent smile; we are human. Dogs are lovable and can be forgiven their faux pas’. Trump....... Douglas Caddy
Yes, Joe, and the Mueller Report reprints an email to Trump's attorney Michael Cohen from a Russian "businessman" that the bedroom tapes of Trump being compromised in Moscow exist. So our president is being blackmailed by Putin.
Cory Santos
I think it is well accepted now that Hoover had compromising tapes and or recordings on JFK
