Ray Cline, on the USCWF board, has had a close association with WACL since he was stationed in Taiwan from 1958 to 1962 as CIA station chief. He was a deputy director of the CIA from 1964 to 1967. The Asian People's Anti-Communist League (APACL) had roots in the China Lobby, a group dedicated to stopping official international recognition of the Chinese Communist government. OK........golly had something happened recently that would need to make a change in a operation that had gone on for years ???? Something happened recently to the date of Nov 29,1963 ??? Ray S. Cline definitely needs investigation. He is linked to the assassination in two ways:

(1) He was part of an OSS team working in China at the end the Second World War. Others in China during this period include John K. Singlaub, Richard Helms, E. Howard Hunt, Mitchell WerBell, Paul Helliwell, Robert Emmett Johnson, Lucien Conein, Tommy Corcoran, Whiting Willauer and William Pawley. They became close friends and worked on several projects together. More importantly, they were all involved in undercover illegal activities that included drug running, the arms industry and assassinations. The thing that they all shared was extremist right-wing views.

(2) In the 1960s Ray S. Cline was a member of Ted Shackley’s Secret Team that continued to provide assassination services to right wing military dictators. They were also involved in the drug and arms industries. Other members of the Secret Team included Thomas G. Clines, Carl E. Jenkins, David Morales, Rafael Quintero, Felix Rodriguez and Edwin Wilson.

Both these groups included people involved in the assassination of JFK and its cover-up: Carl E. Jenkins, David Morales, Rafael Quintero, Richard Helms, E. Howard Hunt, Mitchell WerBell, Paul Helliwell, Robert Emmett Johnson and William Pawley.

Of course, IF the Unification Church was somehow involved, the ramifications to this are HUGE. The Unification Church had ties to both the Japanese Yakuza and the Reagan Administration. More significant, however, is the Moonies' influence over contemporary Washington. Both the "Vast Right-Wing conspiracy" that attacked Clinton and the modern neo-con movement that has nearly destroyed the country were funded and supported by the Unification Church and its public mouthpiece, the Washington Times.

This is intriguing information. I was vaguely familiar with the ties to Yakuza, but I was unaware of the other ties you mentioned.

However, looking at things in retrospect, I just realized that the Moonies were getting a lot of negative press in the mid-late 1970's. They were exposed for cult behavior, brainwashing of members, etc. The press was full of stories about Moonie-funded fronts, de-programming of brainwashed college students, etc...

They dropped off the radar screen in the mid 1980's, and I have not heard much about them since. In fact, since this thread came about, I can't even recall the last time I've had a "moonie" discussion.
