Face in crowd at Love Field.

Recommended Posts

Back in the early 1990's, the Dallas West End was the home of the JFK Assassination Information Center. I used to go there quite a bit and saw a lot of interesting items, one of which pertains to the subject of this thread, maybe Jack White will see this, and add what info he may have. There was a Poster of "DCM & the Umbrella Man" there; which may or may not have been where I saw....a picture of the Dark Complected Man at......Love Field! He [if it indeed was him] was, in the not too distant background as JFK and Jackie get into the Limo, and if memory serves correctly is within 10-12 feet by the time they are comfortably seated and the limo begins to slowly pull away from the crowd. For all I know, I may be the only one, who is familiar with the image, but I am reasonably sure I have also seen this person even in the television footage of Love Field, years ago.

Also, I would think if anyone was a candidate for the person referenced as being at Love Field, and is known as Isaac or Isaac's, it would be Harold Isaacs as I have seen his name mentioned in the context of communicating with either Ruth Paine or Priscilla McMillan after the assassination. From the - For what it's worth, department

I did the poster. It was photos of the umbrella man and cuban, all in

dealey plaza. It had no photos at love field.

Thanks Jack, well I stand by the story, I mentioned that it might not have been from the poster. If no one else is familiar with this, I really would be surprised.

I trust you will forgive me if I am skeptical of any paperwork/witness which gives a CIA operative an alibi?

We have learned we can not rely upon the paper/witnesses from the Warren Report nor can we fully trust

those provided by the other "investigations" undertaken over the years.

A point well taken on the believeability of the paperwork and witnesses, but one has to look at it in context. There's a bunch of mutually corroborative stuff. How much could have been faked?

On the other hand, I am VERY leery of this stuff of identifying people from crowd photographs.

It's just my cautious nature.

I couldn't agree more, [in spite of what I have posted] I know that the Newman family was, at Love Field and 'managed' to get from there to DP in time to observe the assassination 'up close and personal.' As to, the DCM allegation on my part, ultimately, [it can be argued] it really does, or does not, [depending on one's perspective] impact the essential suspicions of DCM & Umbrella Man, except perhaps to those who [including myself] strobgly believe DCM has a walkie-talkie in his pocket [so did Jim Hicks] besides DCM's other 'curious movement's' in the 'assassination sequence.'

Here is the Newman account of 'that morning.' courtesy of:

http://www.jfklink.com/articles/Serendipity.html

William Eugene "Bill" Newman, a 22-year old electrician, drove his wife Gayle and their two young sons, Billy (4) and Clayton (2), from their Oak Cliff home to Love Field on the morning of the assassination. The object was to see the President and First Lady as they landed and stepped from Air Force One following their short flight from Fort Worth (12).

Bill and the younger boy, Clayton, managed to get a good view of the Kennedys from a position at the front on the fence line but unfortunately Gayle and Billy found themselves at the back of the crowd. They were able to see practically nothing. Bill realized the problem and managed to get his family out of Love Field very quickly. He remembered from a map published in the newspaper that the motorcade would pass through Dealey Plaza and he drove the family there. After parking the car, they found a suitable, unobstructed vantage point on the grass on the northern edge of Elm Street at the front of what later became known as the Grassy Knoll.

For Gayle, there was an added bonus in being able to see the motorcade. Her uncle, from whom they were renting their house, was DPD motorcycle officer Sergeant Stavis Ellis, one of the five lead motorcyclists in the motorcade (13).

Both Bill and Gayle still vividly recall the shock of hearing the shots and seeing the result as JFK was shot before their very eyes. Bill told us: "We were the closest individuals to the President as spectators ... when the third shot was fired." Vivid images of the Newmans remain in perpetuity thanks to the camera lenses of several of the plaza photographers. Convinced that at least some of the shots were coming from behind them, Bill and Gayle pushed their children to the ground and immediately covered them with their own bodies. Bill beat the ground with his fists in anger and frustration (14).

Despite being no more than a few feet away from the presidential limousinbe at the time of the shots, neither Bill nor Gayle Newman was called to testify before the Warren Commission. Bill is convinced that this is because he had said in a Sheriff's Department statement of 22nd November 1963 that " ... it seemed that we were in direct path of fire" and "I thought the shot had come from the garden directly behind me." (15).

Had the Newmans set off from home just five or ten minutes earlier that morning, perhaps they would all have had a perfect view of JFK and Jackie at Love Field and they would never have become among the closest and most important Dealey Plaza eyewitnesses.

According to author/historian Richard B.Trask, there could have been an even greater sting in the tail. He states that the Newmans had gone to Love Field "unfortunately forgetting their 8mm movie camera at home." (16) With the willing assistance of my friend William Law, I checked this out with Gayle Newman. She confirmed: "That's correct. We went off and left it on the dresser that morning." (17) Obviously, any movie footage of the presidential limousine shot from their location would have been of inestimable value!

More intriguing, however, is yet another name overheard by Geisbrecht, "Isaacs." The Torbitt Document describes a Harold R. Isaacs as an ex-editor for Newsweek who was the subject of a suppressed Warren Commission document. By 1976 Bernard Fensterwald reported that the suppressed document, an FBI report dated May 22, 1964, that contained information on Marilyn Dorothea Murret, a cousin to Lee Harvey Oswald. The FBI claimed that "Murret was linked in some manner with the . . . apparatus of Professor Harold Isaacs."

According to Fensterwald, Oswald and his family moved in with Murret when he first returned from the Soviet Union and she lived in Japan at the same time Oswald was working with the U2 program at Atsugi. Isaacs was a specialist on Asia and who began work at the Center for International Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1953. [22]

In the mid-1970s a researcher at the National Archives discovered another file labeled with Marilyn Murret's name that contained only background information on Harold Isaacs.

Turns out that Isaacs worked as a journalist in Shanghai in the 1930s and had an indirect link to the Richard Sorge spy ring, the topic of a book written by Charles Willoughby [23], the intelligence chief that Douglas MacArthur used to refer to as his "little fascist". The Canadian businessman Geisbrecht also overheard reference to a Kansas City hotel later learned to be the meeting place for members of the right-wing Minutemen group [24], a group whose California branch was headed by another Willoughby associate, a man named William Gale. [25]

Two final threads on this Torbitt-related web: Douglas MacArthur made reference to an interplanetary threat in comments bracketing the time Werner von Braun made his statements to the press. The first came in October 1955 when Mayor Achille Lauro of Naples reported that the general told him that "he believes that because of the developments of science all the countries on earth will have to unite to survive and to make a common front against attack by people from other planets." [26] By May 1962, MacArthur was including the remarks, plus other comments on the mastery of "cosmic power" that suggest he had also been reading Wilhelm Reich in a public speech he gave before West Point.[27] (Reich had acknowledged MacArthur's previous speech in another notable suppressed text, Contact With Space.)

Secondly, at the time Richard Geisbrecht made his attempt to convey to Jim Garrison what he had overheard at the Winnipeg airport a great UFO flap happened in the area. [28]

Hmm - I'd like to learn more about that. Same crap as always with these Nazis - their dammed disc technology, National Security related nonsense and coverups. Here's an interesting item: The Post-War Saucer Patent Of Heinrich Fleissner. Doesn't really belong here - maybe. Filed in 1955, invented surely, in the 1943 - 1945 timeframe. Bannister, Corso, Willoughby, Crisman - Ferrie? Bloomfield?

Torbitt has Isaacs as having worked for the Center for International Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - along with dead man Gary Underhill.

http://www.newsmakingnews.com/torbitt.htm

Gary Underhill, a CIA agent with Walter Kostow and Harold R. Isaacs at the Center for International Studies at MIT, told friends in early 1964 in New York that a group within the U.S. Intelligence agencies had planned and brought about the death of John Kennedy and that he was going to expose them. A few days later he was found dead in his apartment in Washington, D.C., a bullet in his head behind his left ear - but Underhill was right handed.

Harold R. Isaacs, ex-Newsweek Magazine editor, was the subject of a suppressed Warren Commission document. David Ferrie, Maurice Brooks Gatlin, Guy Bannister and Mike McLaney of New Orleans, Robert Ray McKeown of Houston, Jack Ruby of Dallas and L.J. McWillie of Las Vegas began a partnership in 1953 with Carlos Prio Socarras, Cuba's President from 1948 to 1952, before Batista. Prio and his group were working well with Batista in operating all of the Cuban gambling houses until about 1957 when Batista began to shake Prio's group down for more than they felt was reasonable.90

As pointed out in one of the MKULTRA threads, there appears to be a strong link between the Center for International Studies and CIA funded programs. I wonder what document is being referred to above.

I have the 1992 edition of Russell's book TMWKTM, however, can't find any references to Isaacs on the pages noted. ?

Charles Willoughby was born 'Adolph Tscheppe-Weidenbach' in the town of Heidelberg, Germany. Heidelberg is of great interest to me - even though I don't exactly know why.

Nazi Scientists

By Harry V. Martin and David Caul

The Nuremberg Tribunal revealed that some respected medical professionals were involved in a vast crime network of the SS. Two hundred German doctors conducting these experiments. Most were friends of the U.S. before the war. Despite their inhuman experiments, the U.S. rebuilt relationships with them after the war. The U.S. tracked down Dr. Hubertus Strughold, the aviation doctor in charge of "aviation medicine" experiments at Dachau.

General Eisenhower gave his approval to exploit the work and research of the Nazi death camps. Within weeks, many notorious Nazi doctors were working for the U.S. Army at Heidelberg. Army teams scoured Europe for scientific experimental apparatus such as pressure chambers, compressors, G-force machines, giant centrifuges and electron microscopes. These doctors were wined and dined by the U.S. Army while most German citizens virtually starved.

Under Strughold's leadership, 34 Nazi scientists accepted contracts from Project Paperclip and were moved to Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. Authorization to hire them came from the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Despite the lessons of Nuremberg and the death camps, the CIA, U.S. Navy and the Army's Chemical Corps targeted groups for experimentation who were unable to resist; prisoners, mental patients, foreigners, ethnic minorities, sex deviants, the terminally ill, children, U.S. military personnel and prisoners of war. They violated the Nuremberg Code by conducting and subsidizing experiments on unwitting citizens. The CIA began MKULTRA in 1953, the very year the U.S. signed the Nuremberg Code pledging to prohibit experiments on captive populations without full and free consent.

When Americans landed on the moon, two groups of scientist shared the credit:

(1) the rocket team under Werner von Braun who perfected the V-2s, built in Nordhausen where 20,000 slave laborers from prison camp Dora were worked to death.

(2) the space doctors, led by Hubertus Strughold, whose work was pioneered at Dachau and the torture and death of hundreds. The torture chambers used to slowly kill Nazi prisoners were the test beds for apparatus that protected Neil Armstrong from harm, from lack of oxygen and pressure, when he walked on the moon.

In September 1975, investigative reporter Dick Russell received an anonymous letter that stated, in part:

"... You are now part of the great game of solving the JFK assassination riddle. The danger to those involved is immense, tantamount to playing Russian Roulette... Prior to his death some time ago I spent several days with Tscheppe Weidenbach... an enlightened conversation... you may want to research down to the name which is part of the game we can't make it too easy... "

Enclosed with this anonymous letter was a type-written note, with the letterhead of the King Edward Sheraton Hotel in Toronto, Canada. It read:

"... YOUR CANADIAN COMPUTERS RESEARCHING THE ASSASSINATION OF JOHN KENNEDY DEVELOPED LEADS TO A MAN NAMED TSCHEPPE-WEIDENBACH BORN IN 1892 IN HEIDELBERG, GERMANY AS HAVING MASTERMINDED THE ASSASSINATION WITH THE APPROVAL. 'THE' MAN WHO COULD DO NO WRONG IN AMERICAN HISTORY? YOUR GENERAL (EASY RESEARCH0 MIGHT WELL PROVIDE A LEAD TO THE CLEVER MIND FROM HEIDELBERG... "

Anyway - it would be interesting if Isaacs could be found in the crowd at Love Field - not Clay Shaw, who IMO was nothing more than a fallguy anyway.

Did 'Mercury' refer to a program I wonder?

It is amazing how one topic can lead into another so easily in so many areas in the search for the answers

to who killed JFK.

Wasn't a notebook found with the name Isaacs/Isaaks upon it which contained information relating to the

murder of JFK? If my memory is right it was found in a bus station?

Seems like too much of this stuff winds up in a tail-chasing event even a dog would admire.

I have to admit to finding myself searching through minutae and sometimes reading the same articles or

documents many times due to new information which might change my perspective.

Sometimes it seems the Warren Commission and every investigation since relied upon the old "give 'em

more information than they can sift through" ploy. Lawyers have used this tactic, when ordered to release

information to opposing attorneys, in the hopes of burying the incriminating information in piles of

paperwork. It seems to be an effective tactic.
