Malcolm Jerry Hoy

Recommended Posts

I was looking up something else when I came across the story of this guy:

http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/...mp;relPageId=13

(The bit of Hoy runs frompage 5 to page 9).

Has anyone else heard of him? According to a previous employer of his, he was a 'mental case' and his landlady described him as a 'very strange individual' and said the walls of his room were riddled with bullet holes. The story of his going to see the motorcade on the 22nd seems rather odd to me. Of course what I found particularly interesting was the fact that according to this document, he lived at 2222 Harlandale as of June 63.

Or maybe this is another one of those weird coincidences?! I wonder how far this would have been from 3128?

Anyway I'd be interested to know what others think.

Francesca,

Very interesting! According to R.B. Cutler, photos of the short tramp Frenchy were shown around General Dynamics by JFK researcher Gary Shaw, and everyone said, "That's Jerry Hoy." Cutler said that Jerry Hoy was also Raoul, of MLK fame.

Hoy worked at General Motors. Could "General Dynamics" be a mistake by Cutler for General Motors?

Hoy was 6 feet tall according to the FBI report, though, and Frenchy doesn't look that tall.

Here's the Cutler memo:

I looked up the addresses on Google Earth. 3128 Harlandale is across town from 2222 Harlandale. I'm going to try to post a photo of 3128. Apparently someone with a connection to the assassination lived there -- but I don't know who. So here it is.

Ron,

hey that is interesting! Thanks for posting the memo, I was unaware of this. I'd never heard of him before. Odd how you often stumble across things by mistake. Seems like a character worth looking into to. I don't suppose anyone has a photo of Hoy that we could compare with Frenchy?

(Looking in the direction of James R for example  )

I wonder if he was involved with any of the anti castro cuban exiles hanging around Harlandale....

Francesca,

I thought that I had more, but the only Hoy material I have are comments made by Ron Ecker on a thread concerning Hoy in the past.

"Apparently the name Hoy was well known around General Dynamics, where Gary Shaw reportedly showed around the tramp photo. According to the Torbitt Document, one of the men affiliated with Permindex (the firm whose corporate purpose according to Torbitt included assassinations of world leaders considered threats to the Western World and oil interests) was "Patrick Hoy of the controlling clique in General Dynamics" (p. 50). Torbitt lists Patrick Hoy and David Hoy among the "second layer of participants" in the assassination. (At the top, according to Torbitt, were Johnson, Hoover, Bloomfield, Nagy, De Menil, Prio, Jenkins, Hunt, Baker, Jones, McWillie, Von Braun, Cohn, Korth, Connally and Murchison.) (p. 54) Torbitt refers on p. 104 to the "Henry Crown, Patrick Hoy dominated General Dynamics."

It would be interesting to know what relation, if any, Jerry Hoy (Frenchy?) had to Patrick and David Hoy."

John,

Thanks for the info from Ron Ecker. I had forgotten what he wrote about Hoy, and Ron is an impeccable source. But this only muddies the waters further about General Dynamics versus General Motors.

The other thing is, if Hoy went back to the car repair shop right after the shooting as the FBI report states, then he wasn't Frenchy, unless Hoy then returned to Dealey Plaza, to mix with the hoi polloi, and got himself arrested.

This case is full of strange twists and turns.

William Pepper, in Act of State: The Execution of Martin Luther King, describes Raoul as being on the payrole of General Moters, but not really working there. He describes it as a cover, in which GM was complicit. If Hoy is Raoul, then this checks out with Pepper's research.

Hi John,

thanks for the info - as Alice would say, it gets 'curioser and curioser'! I might have known Permindex might pop up! Very interesting indeed! Especially if Jerry Hoy was related to the other two.

Is there any 'link' between the two companies of General Motors and General Dynamics? They weren't related in any way were they?

Francesca,

The 3128 address is of course much interest here but the house next door is somewhat curious as well. A man by the name of John Longacre lived at 3126 Harlandale and he was a past master of the Oak Cliff Masonic Lodge. Up until 1965, he worked as an interviewer for the Texas Employment Commission and knew co-worker Robert L. Adams (the man who interviewed Oswald) very well.

Longacre died in 1969 and Adams passed away in 1970. Longacre below.

I have no idea what or if this means anything but I thought I would mention it.

I'm not knopwledgeable about the MLK assassination at all but there goes another interesting coincidence! The same names keep popping up over and over, and everyone seems to be connected to everyone else!

I Wouldn't say that 2222 Harlandale to 3128 Harlandale is across town. (Distance 0,8 miles).

To verify you can do a route planner on www.mapquest.com I attempted to attach my search above. It's a mouthful but it should work.
