John McCain has made a speech that suggests that he might finish the job of started by JFK at the Bay of Pigs. He claimed in Miami that he would not "passively wait for an end to Castro's tyranny." However, it was not clear what McCain would do differently than previous presidents. During his speech he attacked Barack Obama for proposing talks with Raul Castro about easing the US embargo. McCain also said he would prosecute Cuban officials for murder and other crimes. He did not say he was prosecute Cubans accused of murder such as Orlando Bosch and Luis Posada. Of course, McCain is just after the Cuban-American vote, but do they care as much as their parents about Fidel and Raul Castro?

While he is after the Cuban-American vote, I also think he means what he says. He is a madman warrior, who'd like to have the USA invade and 'clean-up' for Corporate and Imperialistic interests a whole laundry-list of countries. I actually see McCain as worse than Bush and a continuation of most of the same policies, plus some new horrors. I think the current Cuban-American voters are about the same as their parents in views. Of course McCain would do nothing about 'our terrorists'. He is less of an intellectual idiot than Bush, but not much different than Bush and those behind him in his bellicose Pax Americana with endless wars. If he is elected, the USA as a ship of state is really to be a shipwreck. I worry that the plan is to bomb Iran at a time before the election to get a knee-jerk 'patriotic' reaction in McCain's favor. A nightmare scenario for the US and the World. Cuba would be only one of many invasions he'd want to try. Others would be the new independant [of US control] nations in Central and S. America, much of the middle East, N. Korea and eventually China and even Russia. A true Cold Warrior and Neanderthal. Of course, the US can't possibly fight all those wars - unless they are done using nuclear weapons or bombing attacks alone. His vision of America to me is frightening.
