A little while ago, I ran across an FBI document that said there was a camp for training Cuban exiles in Pass Christian, Mississippi.

Anyone ever heard of this camp?

Steve,

It wasn't so much a camp but a rented house. Ten Cuban exiles were staying there under the guise of foreign exchange students.

The operation was run by Gil Strickler who amongst others, had connections to Tony 'Poe' Poshepny.

Come to think of it, I don't recall reading much at all about Gilbert "Strick" Strickler in assassination literature but for those interested, he is well worth researching. An Army Reserve Colonel and quite a fascinating character with very curious connections to the CIA's world of paramilitary training.

FWIW.

Steve, this was an offshoot of the Belle Chasse Camp set by a guy called Bill Royer.

MFF probably has something on this, as I think that's where I came across Royer a while back.

Thanks.

You can read a little about this camp in the FBI's Administrative folder J9 p. 17

There is also a list of the camps in MS in the FBI's subject files under MDC

Steve,

just found this doc. It confirms the Strickler, Royer connections. Seems Garrison was onto to something that he was not supposed to have been able to detect...
