An online field trip with links to facts and figures using postcode-related data to examine five residential areas. Can be used as a stand-alone or for comparison with urban areas visited elsewhere. Good for looking at urban patterns of growth and decline at a local scale. Can be used to look policies to improve and regenerate areas of decline (re-urbanisation). Includes Byker, Quayside redevelopment, outer-city estates and inner-city tower blocks. Originally devised for WJEC AS specification.
