I don't know how much you use Instant Messengers but here is the newest one to the block!

Google haven't really kept up with the IM market so far, but they must have had a nitro boost or something because they just overtook everyone! Instant messaging: Google style!

Of course, they incorporate search into Google Talk!!

They say talk is cheap. Google thinks it should be free. Google Talk enables you to call or send instant messages to your friends for free–anytime, anywhere in the world. Google Talk offers you:

* Choice: Get in touch how and when you want to–over email, IM or a call

* Quality: Talk through your computer but hear your friends as if they were in the same room

* Convenience: Your Gmail contacts are pre-loaded into Google Talk so inviting or talking to your friends is just a click away

Google Talk is in beta and requires a Gmail username and password.

I would suggest you to try it, if you are interested in Instant Messaging, it is rather good - click on the link below - download Google Talk - then add me! toby.cope[@]gmail.com!!

What are your thoughts on this, and also, what are your thoughts on Instant Messaging in general - good or bad!?

I installed it to 'test out' I very much doubt its going to take off such as MSN, Yahoo etc.

I didnt know i could call people. I use VOIP a lot but use Skype for that.

I also downloaded it to try it out. I don't know enough people who have accounts with gmail though, they all have MSN. So I think I will stick to MSN. smile.gif
