Two days ago I visited the Auschwitz and auschwitz birkenau concentration camps in southern Poland.
I could not help but feel that the camps themse;ves could not possibly convey the horrors that once existed there. Even audio visual presentations neglected to show the crimes commited.

I found Birkenau to be a lot more what I expected as I saw the well known railway that stopped inside the camp walls.
The gas chambers were blown up by the germans before the Russians liberated the camps in a last ditch attempt to cover up their crimes.

Have any other members visited any concentration camp and what were their feelings towards them?
