Last year Kent teachers were involved in 2 one day strikes over the issue of London allowances. Kent County Council decided to deduct pay at a far higher rate than they were entitled to do so in a pretty transparent attempt to intimidate teachers against further action. The case went to the high court and the good news is that the teachers won!
