I don't know if this is just a coincidence or not, but each time that I access the Education Forum the annoying WinFixer pop-up window appears inviting me to download and run WinFixer. I immediately lock Internet access each time this happens and run a clean-up program on my computer and reboot. I've searched the Web for info on WinFixer. It appears to be a spyware/adware program that is hard to remove. Can anyone advise?

The winfixer popup has also appeared on my screen but it does not seem to cause a problem for Linux.

It's now been blocked - no further pop ups should appear.

Me too! I wondered where it was coming from...
I downloaded a programme that deleted it from my system - it's not just a popup associated with a particular site, it seems to be a script that runs on your system.
