A "useful response" would be a recognition that new initiatives should take into account the potential harm to the stress levels of teachers as well as the potential benefits for the pupils or the administration.
Every proposal to increase teacher workload in one area must be matched with a proposal to decrease it in another area.
At the moment initiatives - some of which are good ideas and some of which are not - come thick and fast without consideration for the mental well-being of the people charged with implementing them.
