Gil Jesus has been posting links to the vidoes he has been posting on YouTube. This includes a couple of good ones on the Civil Rights movement. This is an important new development in teaching. I hope others who come across good videos that can be used in history teaching will post links on the forum.

I thought it might be interesting if members post links to good music videos on YouTube. I have started a thread on this here:

wow, perfect timing! i'm working on a collection of sites that work to create niche online learning communities centered primarily around videos imported from youtube on a niche topic. i just launched ActoElection.com for the 08 US Presidential election, and ActoCIA.com to help people learn about the Central Intelligence Agency. i'll be adding more sites as well. smile.gif

youtube is a fantastic tool for those looking to learn more about 911 truth and state sponsored terrorism. a quick search yields a ton of excellent videos: http://youtube.com/results?search_query=91...p;search=Search.

I was thinking last night -- I remember Jackie's goodbye before she left the White House for good. Didn't Robert Kennedy speak? In my memory, he sat across from Jackie on a sofa that faced her. I've never seen Bobby's goodbye ever again. I wonder if that's on youtube.com. I have Jackie on video and photos, but not Bobby. That would be a historical video. I love youtube.

Of the History track, for sure, but for me this is the best video for education I have seen on You Tube.

Of course youtube offers fantastic new resources for the teaching of any subject but unfortunately most schools and LEAs in the UK have filtered or blocked the site completely. Their main motivation seems to be to prevent pupils from uploading video clips of school fights and online bullying. So, for a lot of us youtube is a great opportunity missed!

I agree that this is a major problem. I have added links to my web pages and so they can always access them at home.

Good video. I once wrote in an article that if someone was transported from Ancient Greece to the present time, the only thing they would recognize and understand, would be the school classroom.
