  1. Great new book out by a Green Beret who served in Vietnam; J Charles Egan - The Lords of September Fulton Books available on Amazon Egan entered the Navy in 1959 at age 17 and soon after his 38 year mother died along with her 11th child Jeff. ( all of the Egan's first names in his family begin with a J ) Instead of taking a hardship discharge, he completed his time in the Navy, only to join the Army after that. Then he became a Green Beret and served in Vietnam Very interesting account of his time in Vietnam and his trips back home during that time..
  2. This is very sad news. I talked to Gary a few times on the phone, and received a lot of emails from him as well. As Pat Speer said, I intended to meet him someday at the museum as well - he said on the phone one time that he would play a clear film of Love Field, where the Agents allegedly were called off their usual positions. I will miss Mr. Mack very much.
  3. "The Unquiet American," gets interesting on page 119 " My Guy Magsasay" during the 1951 election for Quirino. Supposedly, Allen Dulles ratted Landsdale out as a CIA/OPC operative. Secretary of State John Foster Dulles then asked Landsdale to return immediately to the United States.
  4. See Jonathan Nashel, Edward Lansdale's Cold War. Also this article: http://www.statecraft.org/chapter4.html Thanks for that article.
  5. From "An Honest Election" in the Unquiet American; While Philippine President Magsaysay was saying things to the Hukbalahaps, such as "all out friendship, or all out force," Landsdale helped begin another program that used Army lawyers to help farmers fight for their legal rights. Then, " One evening Magsaysay came back to Lansdale's quarters in the JUSMAG compound with a broad smile on his face. He had just made a major speech in which he promised that every Huk rebel who came over to the cause of the government would be given a home, land, and support. " From Cecil B. Currey The Unquiet American Edward Lansdale
  6. I have spent a lot of time in the Philippines over the last twenty years, having been an EFL Teacher in Taiwan and South Korea during that time. I made a lot of Filipino friends, and one invited me to her family home in northern Luzon. I had met her in Taiwan where she was working too. Her late dad was very concerned about my safety while I was their guest. He was even concerned when I went to the business district during the day, and would not let me go into the countryside - even with him or his family. He made reference to those that lived in rural northern Luzon, but not by any other name.
  7. AN HONEST ELECTION: Chapter 5 "Landsdale's new mission for the Office of Policy Coordination was a difficult one. and he was given only a limited time to accomplish it. In three months, Landsdale was to protect American interests in the Philippines and to consolidate a power base for Ramon Magsaysay. The Huk rebellion was at it's peek." It is important to know who the "Huks" were and Landsdale's role fighting them in the Philippines in the 50's.
  8. "In most cases, persons with greater than average skills, or with special duties to society, are held to a higher standard of care."
  9. "The whole story of the POWER of the Cover-up comes down to a few points. There has never been a Grand Jury and trial in Texas. Without a trial there can be nothing. Without a trial it does no good for researchers to dig up data. It has no place to go and what the researchers reveal just helps make the cover-up tighter, or they eliminate that evidence and the researcher. "
  10. Landsdale met representatives of the Huks in the Philippines while unarmed and used the skills he used as an Ad Man and said that he would tell their story to Manila. If that story is true, he has to be remembered for using his head while at war. That being said, this is only one story about the man and there are many, but I think that he had a lot going for him. It's too bad he disliked President Kennedy.
  11. Cecil b. Currey writes a book about this most interesting man On page 5 he writes, " in 1922, when Ed was fourteen, his parents moved their belongings as they had so many times and moved from Bronxville to Los Angeles, settling in a hip hopped roofed bungalow at 739 South Grammercy Drive." I think Lansdale was involved, and had a reason to be involved with the murder of JFK. Has anyone else bothered to read this book or about Lansdale?
  12. Hi Don: You have been very insightful during the time I have been on here - but I won't hold my breath as to a response from the very man whose efforts root my views on the subject. Many low lives have made a career discrediting Mr. Mark Lane, so even his best fan could be swayed. That being said, I hope you understand that the United States Secret Service of 1963 enabled the assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy on November 22, 1963 by not only planning the attack on their boss, but also by sitting or standing there while it happened. The United States Secret Service of 1963 ought to be ashamed. As an American citizen, I must insist this group be brought to justice - NOW.
  13. Mr. Curbow: Thanks for your response. I am a musician, not a historian, and received a B.S. from a University of Wisconsin branch, in music. That being said, your insight was fantastic and your comments very were nice to hear. At this point in my analysis of what really happened, I am looking forward and just guessing as to what the future brings. But I want to point out I am not guessing as to what really happened - that is that the POTUS's own government killed him The Secret Service's action in Dealy and before clearly shows that assassins, enabled by the U.S. Secret Service, had no choice but to kill the very man that the United States Secret Service were paid to protect.
  14. Dave: I must first say that I hate the saying "just saying, " more than when someone misunderstands what I was trying to say. I have read about the Lincoln assassination and understand that one of those four that were hanged was a woman and there was a vast conspiracy involved in the Lincoln assassination. But does the average person really know that? I bet if you went on the street and asked several people most would not know what really happened. I grew up thinking that it was one man and that was either brought by my lack of education or perhaps the media influenced my opinion. What I "was trying to say," is that, in my opinion, the average person believes that the assassination of Lincoln was the work of a single man, and that theory was used as a template for the Kennedy assassination. That being the lone nut theory. Now, work continues eliminating evidence and shaping public opinion long after the killing. I believe that work will continue, history books will be written and used in schools and that someday, the accepted conclusion will be false-that one man killed Kennedy.
  15. That is right, Don. But it shows how well the cover up was. There were great men like Mark Lane, whose credibility had to be damaged because of the truth he told us. His work, like so many others, was manipulated in shameful ways. Sometimes easy to detect, sometimes not. Sadly, I predict that in as little as 50 more years, the Kennedy assassination, like the Lincoln assassination will be attributed to one single man, because the government will never give up totally covering up this case.
  16. I taught for many years in China and Taiwan, and will be contacting you regarding this opportunity.
  17. Dan Rather and Paine lie about Oswald - an amazing young man who traveled the world before he died. Yet, he couldn't " hold a job" according to Paine , the CIA agent who looked like a Quaker. Fraizer and the curtain rods and how he "would not be coming home on Friday night, the 22 of November!" This stuff is so simplistic and unbelievable. How stupid do the criminals think we are? "Roy said , get out of the line" according to Connelly. He also acknowledged that both Kellerman and the day help from the limousine service company looked back "between the *second and third shots" * there were, actually, as many as 10 shots fired Now , the "loser": with the beautiful wife and a lover on the side , wife is mumbling about something. Oswald lived 10 lives in his short one and was anything but a loser.
  18. When you have allegedly "good people" attesting to the official lie, any chance of debunking the obvious Coup is literally impossible. The way this murder was executed and covered up is a good way, however, to learn how to lie about something, and how to recognize when others are lying about other matters.
  19. This is on public TV today and shows us why, among other things, the Secret Service can freeze when shots are being fired at the POTUS , and the guilty parties can get away - to this day with the murder of the President of the United States. It is sad, but true and supports the theory that a bigger lie is actually easier to tell.
  20. Thanks for posting this - I have viewed this in its entirety - "smoking Mark Lane," tears Buckley apart , in my opinion.
  21. Good job Pine Knob using my name multiple times. Are you using your real name?
  22. You apparently don't understand that what the Warren Commission says means nothing.
