    Interesting piece on Texas Theater

Jim in 1970 when I graduated from the police academy I found some officers would stop at a phone booth and place a phony hot call to give them an excuse to get inside a place that would be difficult to justify entry otherwise such as motorcycle gang houses and other illegal sites.

I was assigned to Detroit Homicide on two separate occasions. What does that me me an expert in? Canvassing neighborhoods because I must have knocked on a bazillion doors. My partner and I would start working a case with certain conclusions but when those proved not to be true we would shift directions and look for "new truth". We had Family Tree's at Homicide and I would inherit open case that were often committed before I joined the police department. Looking at these case with a fresh eye we often found that the cases were "investigated" with blinders on. Perhaps if we locked away our egos and were more careful with what we assumed was fact because it aligned with prior bias, we could actually solve this darn thing! Additionally, it is actually possible to disagree without being disagreeable!

Two groups of people I lost interest in and refuse to devote time to are the agenda driven and those with bloated egos.

    "The CIA follows the law."

Gayton Fonzi did a lot of digging down there and JM Wave folks went on to do a lot of mischief if not treason. And there's the old China folks who likely committed an unknown number of murders and stole a bazilllion dollars!

One can go straight up or one can go outside the organization. There were a lot of jobs being farmed out and folks like Conein and Werbell had their fingers on almost everything. And I personally got contacted for a contract in Iraq that was thinly disguised as a sniper contract but in effect was a hit team.

That's he all willing to say about it and that it was a small, tightly held group that originated with elements in the agency. His area of focus was South America. Should have added it was 30 years after Dallas before he would say a word about it and never mentioned the agency by name until after he retired.

David-decades ago I was in Israel on business. Went to dinner and got to meet some of the Entebbe crew. They talked about the most dangerous folks they'd met had been the OSS who had served in Asia and that they were capable of anything including looting a couple of national treasures and killing whoever they cared to. Did a lot of training after I retired from Detroit ranging from the Air Marshal's to Marine Corp Special ops. One of my co workers was 22 SAS retired and he had heard some interesting things while working undercover in Belfast and that, of course, is the problem is there's no end to info. Was assigned to Kirkland AFB where NNSA had their headquarters and went to an explosive breaching class and some of the instructors were troubling in what they knew and where they had been.

Thanks! When I was at NNSA our sniper rifles were built by the Marine Corp Scout Sniper School and one of the early on'es had one of John's scope and I preferred to to the Leupolds.

Well, I read the 26 volumes twice. Once while attending BYU in Utah and once while attending the University of Southern California and I'm convinced after doing so that the Warren Commission did not want to find anything and Hoover was quick to get his report out which was even more unbelievable.. My buds who were involved in both Che' and Allende only talked to me on these subjects after we had been friends for decades and again only in face to face conversation. I was assigned to both Homicide (twice) and as the training Sgt for the SWAT Team in Detroit and my interactions with the FBI were often severely disappointing. HSCA was not a whole lot better and Lopez and Hardiway were not shy about how the Agency obstructed their efforts. Anyway, I'm convinced that we have not had a real federal investigation and never will. Warren admitted years later that he was instructed to suppress any evidence of conspiracy and Jerry Ford moved the back wound so it would line up with the throat wound. I attended a couple of hundred autopsies and have never seen an exit wound like the one in JFK's neck. And Spitz who was the medical examiner in Detroit and a supporter of the WC admitted to me that he had never seen one like that either.

He said one shooter was in the Dal Tex building with a Winchester Model 70 with a Unertal scope.

    "The CIA follows the law."

One bud told me in personal conversation-mouth to ear-that two shooters came from JM Wave and another was a military sniper imported from Vietnam. Of course, the names of the shooters are relatively unimportant while who sent them is critical to understand the why and if you understand the why the who becomes fairly obvious. Larry I've read "Somebody would have talked" several times and still find it one of the better JFK books!

    "The CIA follows the law."

No, the fact that they were willing to point directly at JM Wave was a clear sign they did not approve and since served in Vietnam they were very hostile towards. LBJ. By true believers that the Agency was a place to be proud of.

Perhaps she's telling the truth After all, we are all victims of our own experience And I haven't seen anything to indicate she was involved in requesting agency records not be released. I have two friends, both deceased who admitted involvement in the capture of Che' and the other assisted Allende in committing suicide AND both lay the assassination at the feet of JM Wave. And no, neither were former disgruntled former member of the Christian's In Action. They both died true believers!

    The Shooters

I think that "knowing" the names of the actual shooters might be satisfying on a visceral level but I've always thought if we know the why we'll know the who. In a totally different venue I was doing some training for some federal folks and got them to understand if we took the guy alive who was wearing the suicide vest we would not get a lot of intell since he wouldn't be part of the inner circle if the leaders were content to let himself be a two legged bomb.

    Thumbprints on the bullets?

I worked Crime Scene Investigation in the early 70's in Detroit and only found finger prints once on a handgun-thankfully it convicted a cop killer but never got a print off ammo. Years later I did two separate tours in Detroit Homicide and never saw any successful prints off ammo-a lot of smears but nothing useful. My motto was always, "I'd sooner be lucky than good". One thing I haven't seen mentioned was that Oswald's revolver had been rechambered to .38 Special and so bullet markings were a wash but the firing pin markings are individual and they should have been able to compare the firing pin marks from Oswald's revolver and certainly if there had been a match they would have shouted it from the skies.

    Abandoned or little known airfields

No, to Degaulle. I was at student at BYU in Utah on Nov 22nd. Watched all the coverage and it just didn't make sense. Read the 26 volumes twice and that alone proved conspiracy. Watched Oswald say he was just a patsy and it sounded sincere to me. When I saw Ruby shoot him on live tv, I knew it was to silence him and after doing two tours in Detroit homicide I knew why I "knew" it was a conspiracy.

No, I taught counter ambush techniques and firearms AND yest there are a number of Janet's. For example, every morning a 737 leaves Vegas and lands in Area 51 and returns in the evening.

I was one of at least 40 instructors. It was challenging especially after 9/11

Steve-the NC's were Federal Agents assigned to a little known division of the Dept of Energy who transport and secure nuclear weapons. National Nuclear Security Administrations Office of Secure Transportation. I was a firearms&tactics instructor.

When I worked as a trainer for the nuclear couriers, we called them "JANET'S"-just another non existent terminal.

Anatomy Of Lee Harvey Oswald's Interrogations

Allowing more two interrogators in the room destroyed the quality of the information. I think that Fritz was overwhelmed by the feds and let solid rules of interrogation be ignored. When I was in Detroit Homicide in the early 80's interrogations and even interviews were written down the officer and read and signed by the suspect. Since some folks would go into court and say they signed but they hadn't read it so I would make a number of spelling mistakes on the page and require the suspect to initial as I initialed each spelling error and drew a single line thru it was then really difficult to allege you never read it when your initials appeared several places on each page.
  24. Yes, it's me I joined Detroit PD in 1969 and if an officer called for help all other units were instructed stay off the radio until the situation was resolved. I suspect very few Dallas coppers shed a tear for JFK but the murder of an officer took priority over everything else. I remember getting called in on my day off because a copper in my precinct had been murdered and the killer was in the wind. My wife asked me if I was going to get paid for this and I told her I wouldn't even ask. A friend had been murdered and I'd be back when the killer in jail or in the ground AND I was on the job when the second cop killer in the history of Detroit PD was taken alive. I'm sure they expected the Oswald would never make it to jail!.
