  1. Yeah, that's what they said in that particular documentary. And that may be the case but I don't buy it completely. It would be a nice experiment for someone to do using the same type or even a similar type camera using both indoor and outdoor film to see just how much difference there is between the two. It's just that when the government lies to you over and over again you learn not to trust anything they tell you. I believe in that same documentary, they make a big deal about how Zapruder actually used the right type of film for outdoor photography. Yet the Zapruder film we saw for decades wasn't all that clear. I know we were dealing with copies (whether you assume the extant is the original or not) and each copy gets more degraded, but if you believe Dino Brugioni and his story then the original was very clear! And very different, lol! Even if using the wrong type film made the background a little darker, I still believe that the lighting on it was tampered with even more. Like I said, when they lie to you as much as they have you definitely acquire trust issues with them.
  2. I know your father believed that frames were taken out of his film, and at least initially he bought their excuse about bad exposures and such as the reason. Did he come to later believe that there were more nefarious reasons? I believe that somewhere there is an original film that your father took that day unaltered. Besides excising frames here and there, I also believe that they fooled with the contrast to make it darker so we couldn't see what was going on up on the knoll behind the fence. I believe the original would show more visibility up there.
  3. This is just an amusing post but I really think some of you will get a good laugh at it. I'm binging the series Lost because I never watched it the first time around. Just one of those I figured I would like but never started watching it. Now with streaming services where you can binge watch from the beginning I've finally gotten around to it. Please no spoilers because I'm just starting Season 3. Now, where this ties into the JFK assassination. My initial impression is that the writers were just throwing everything they could against the wall and just see what sticks. Because, so far anyway, not every lead or clue goes somewhere. In many ways the assassination is much like that. It can be confusing and convoluted and it probably has driven many a man or woman crazy diving down this particular rabbit hole. Chasing after promising leads that seem to go nowhere. To be sure, the waters have been muddied as much as possible through disinformation from agency "assets". I've been studying the assassination since I was maybe 10 or 11 and I just turned 46, lol! I devour books and articles and videos on the topic. If they had a 24 hour channel just on assassination related topics I'd stay tuned in, lol! But it can be maddening following all these leads! Just when you start following a trail that seems to make sense, you find another that makes sense too but they both contradict each other, lol! The research community pretty much knows the broad picture and most of the major players involved. But the minute details are where it gets a little fuzzy, lol! Just exactly what happened that day in Dealey Plaza. Anyway, that was just my epiphany I had while watching Lost, lol! Hope y'all find some kind of insight into this or relate in some way!
  4. There are some very interesting details in this post, but for me the above was the most interesting! I had never heard that before. How explosive would those tapes be if they ever surfaced?
  5. Yeah, in her testimony she did say 1:15 but I think they determined it usually ran around 1:12. Time is a difficult thing to determine back in the days before cell phones. If the 1:12 estimation is correct then I can buy that she just rounded up to say 1:15. But regardless of the exact time, either way, I agree with you that the Tippit murder did not occur that late. That's one reason I asked whether the bus was on time or not. With all the commotion in Dallas surrounding the assassination, it could conceivably have been running late that day.
  6. Who is the Flanagan involved in the HSCA? Maybe we're related! 😂😂😂
  7. I guess I'm the only one so far that believes that the violent "back and to the left" motion is indicative of removed frames from the extant Z-film. It's funny though that no witness that day and all the way until the extant Z-Film aired publicly ever described such a violent "head snap". Not that we should take Tom Brokaw at his word, but upon seeing the original Zapruder film he described Kennedy's head moving violently forward, lol! I believe that was a lie, but most witnesses say he just kind of fell over onto Jackie after the last shot. I believe he possibly got shot in the head from behind a split second before getting shot from the front. I don't think there were any violent head snaps forwards or backwards in reality. If there was a head snap forward, then I believe it was from the sudden braking of the limo causing him to go forward rapidly just before the headshot from the front (probably from the Grassy Knoll). I believe there was a "through and through" bullet hole in the windshield coming from the front. Maybe the South Knoll area. I think this is probably the one that caused the throat wound. And then you have the shallow back wound. So, if JFK was hit in the head twice, then I count 4 different bullets. My estimate of 6 total may have been conservative now that I think about it, lol! Because I think Conally was hit by at least 2 different bullets most likely and there were several misses that day. Many witnesses saw a first shot hit the turf and that one didn't line up to the knicked curb causing Tauge's wound if I remember correctly. Then you have the bullet that hit that curb. I believe a bullet caused the damage to the chrome strip or whatever just above the windshield too. I know that sounds like a lot, but I think it was Kellerman (sitting in the front passenger seat of the presidential limo) that described a "flurry" of shots after the first one. I know most witnesses heard 3 or 4 at the most but some were probably silenced and if two were fired almost at the same time then they could have been mistaken for one shot.
  8. WOW! You were in Tuscaloosa, Alabama? I work in Tuscaloosa.........down at BF Goodrich. June will make 17 years I've been working there. I live about an hour and a half away though but the long drive gives me plenty of time to consume JFK assassination videos. 😁 It's a small world after all!
  9. I've never actually heard anything about the bus as far as I can remember except that she was waiting on it and it usually arrived around 1:12. That would be great if if the bus stop was where the killer headed and the bus was on time, but you are sadly correct about losing people to the sands of time. I'm actually surprised we don't hear more stories come out though from children of people who witnessed something that didn't fit with the official narrative from stories their parents told!
  10. Thanks @Robert Morrow! There's no telling how many times I've heard her interviews and read accounts of her going to catch her bus but only this time did it ever occur to me that under the right circumstances that people on the bus headed that way could possibly have seen whoever the real killer of Tippit was. Of course, those particular circumstances would be that the bus would be on time pretty much and would have to be heading on the same street the killer was escaping down. Like I said, it probably is nothing pertinent after all but that lightbulb in my head came on and I thought I would ask.
  11. So, I take it that Edward Norton was the one doing the Oswald voice reading from the "historic diaries"? He did a good job if so! But I'm surprised in this day and age that they don't just use some AI app using Oswald's voice pattern on stuff like that. I assumed that's what they did and kept wondering where Norton was going to come in at, lol!
  12. Just curious if anyone knows if the bus that Helen Markham was on her way to catching at approximately 1:12 pm made it on time? And if it would have been coming the way that the killer of J.D. Tippit would have been fleeing or another direction? Was just listening to the Solving JFK podcast season 1 again and wondered about that bus for the first time while hearing his breakdown of the Tippit shooting. His approximate time of the shooting is roughy 1:06. Hellen Markham was on her way to catch a bus that normally ran about 1:12. I got to wondering if the people on the bus could have seen Tippit's killer if he fled in the direction of the oncoming bus. Even if the bus were coming in that same direction, I wonder if that bus were delayed from all the traffic. Much like the bus that Oswald had supposedly boarded, only to leave once it got stuck in the Dealey Plaza traffic. If anyone has any answers to these questions, it is greatly appreciated! May not amount to anything anyway, but it popped in my head and thought I'd ask.
  13. A little touchy aren't we? By the way, I do believe in a conspiracy but one not quite as vast as the one you believe in. I made a joke and you went ballistic and called me every name in the book, lol! Can we be civil here? I have never served in the military in any capacity but I do understand how things work on a need-to-know basis and how each mission is compartmentalized, especially in "wet" operations. Many individuals were roped into the cover-up under order or threats to their lives or their family. Many were convinced by misguided patriotism to participate with stories of a nuclear war with Russia if the truth came out about any foreign involvement. I believe that the inner circle who knew ahead of time plans to assassinate the president was relatively small. Those who actually planned it and worked to make it happen. No need to go ballistic on everyone who disagrees with you, especially if they make a lighthearted joke. That is how the lone-nutters usually operate.
  14. So, you're saying they kept things pretty close to the vest........only about a thousand individuals involved? 😂😂😂
  15. Yes, that's the picture I was referring to! I could see that #2 pic even being a similar hairline or hairstyle too. Maybe even #5 though he's kinda turned sideways. #3 definitely doesn't look anywhere near Mailbox Man's hair though it is very hard to make out. Thanks for the photos!
  16. The hair on Mailbox Man kinda makes me think of the JD Tippit "Elvis" photo. How he has his hair in that picture. You know which one I'm referring to? I wouldn't think it could be him however.
  17. The flag burning is certainly an interesting and original hypothesis to be sure, but I would think that if someone was burning a flag in protest that you'd have at least one person who saw that and told someone about it. I guess you could say that all eyes were on JFK at the time so no one really paid any attention to the man, but I'm thinking that a minute or two after the headshot that people would have seen him even if he hid out behind the mailboxes. Keep digging! You've certainly peaked my interest, but I need more to lean hard into that hypothesis. Let me ask you this Mr. Ford, do you think a man burning a flag in protest could be the source of people in the motorcade (most notably Senator Yarborough) smelling gunpowder or seeing smoke? I know gasoline burning wouldn't smell exactly like gunpowder but maybe similar enough to mistake in the chaos. The smoke was seen near the picket fence though and I find it hard to believe that a man could carry a burning flag from that area to the TSBD entrance without being noticed. So, I'd probably say no to both.
  18. The mailboxes are right beside the front steps. I don't see how you can use a small clip as definitive proof of anything when we don't even follow Baker all the way to his destination in said clip. If you had other evidence that was a little bit stronger then you MIGHT could use this clip as corroborating evidence to the fact that he was not originally heading toward the front steps but toward the mailboxes or some other destination. If you had added any witness testimony at all that officer Baker approached a man standing by the mailboxes or that he saw a man there looking suspicious or something else to add weight to the clip then maybe more people would agree with your hypothesis. As for "mailbox man", I think that was a great find and needs further investigation to see just who this could have been or what his purpose could have been. But I don't feel the Baker angle is strong enough for us to be arguing about amongst each other. Keep digging and hopefully you will find something else to bolster your claim. I found a picture of Buell Wesley Frazier from his detainment post assassination. I was going to post it but no matter how much I cropped it there was a message saying I exceeded the max file size or whatever so I gave up. Anyway, if he was still wearing what he wore to work that day, then he had on a white shirt. Not a T-Shirt, but looked like a white dressy looking shirt with a collar on it. Was trying to find someone with a similar hairline or hairstyle to "mailbox man" and BWF was about the closest I could find. Most of the other guys I could find had ties on. Just pure speculation here, but assuming Mr. Frazier could possibly be "mailbox man" (if he is located somewhere else in the clip then let me know), then you could say that immediately after the assassination he sees a bag lying over by the mailboxes that looked close enough to the one Oswald had bring to work that day.......OR........ Oswald never carried a long bag or curtain rods or anything and BWF had it in his backseat as part of an assignment. Nobody saw Oswald carry in anything. Frazier supposedly hung around in his vehicle for some time after Oswald approached the building. Say he was told to bring this fashioned bag and to plant it somewhere outside the TSBD to be found. He hides it somewhere near the mailboxes. Immediately following the assassination he gives it to a policeman. The corrupt Dallas cop thinks this would be more incriminating if found on the same floor as the rifle and takes it upstairs at some point. This is all just speculation. Just spitballing ideas to try and make sense of it. It is not a theory I personally support or would try and convince anyone to believe. Just trying to think of some kind of scenario for "mailbox man" and the package or whatever he is holding.
  19. Found this pic online if it helps in comparison to whatever "mailbox man" is holding.
  20. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there a theory based on some early testimony or a report or something that an encounter with some individual did occur but that it was on the first floor, like right as you enter through the front steps? If I recall correctly there was maybe a janitor's closet or something where an individual was seen and many suggested this was Oswald and that was where the encounter really took place. Any thoughts on this? Other than that, the only thing I can add is that I'm still not seeing anything conclusive in the gif that Baker wasn't running for the front steps. I'm just not seeing anything that would convince me either way that he was or wasn't. I did read in his testimony that he basically ignored the instructions to get up on top of the overpass in the railroad yard because he knew that shots either came from the TSBD or "this other building" (which I assume would be the Dal-Tex building). So, I can buy that he might have been heading towards the Dal-Tex initially. I don't think you can absolutely conclude that from this short clip but I'm open to it. I'm not exactly seeing how that delays him more than maybe five extra seconds even if that is the case. And I'm not completely sold that the second floor encounter even happened so I'm not just being stubborn in my beliefs, lol! I just don't see the game changer that y'all are seeing, lol!
  21. I believe the original unaltered Zapruder film absolutely showed the complete turn from Houston onto Elm from the presidential limo. Something........I have no clue what.......but something happened there at the turn that "they" didn't want us to see. That's also why frames were removed from the Towner film and any other film that might have contained whatever it was "they" didn't want us to see. I could have easily have chosen the second option on that first question if it had not been worded so absolutely stating that "no other changes" were made to the film except for removing limo stop frames. I think most alterationists fall somewhere between option 2 and 3. Extensive alteration is a little extreme of a term but it fit my stance better than the only limo stop frames option. Thank you for this poll!
  22. Man, I hate I missed this before it got taken down! 😔 I've been waiting years now to hear some news on this! Can someone who saw it before it was taken down please share exactly what was on this video?
  23. This is a VERY interesting and intriguing thread that I have just stumbled upon recently. I appreciate Mr. Ford for bringing up several issues! I don't necessarily agree with everything put forth as far as different scenarios or hypotheses, but you don't find answers if you don't ask questions! I found the mailbox man fascinating. It took me a bit to see exactly who the OP was referring to and once I saw the figure, I too initially thought it was a woman in a skirt. Then, once it was pointed out that it was a man, I too saw this. At one point, I decided there was no one there at all. Like many, I thought there were two individuals there (mistaking the building latticework or whatever for another head) and then decided that this figure's head was also part of that design on the building. Upon further inspection however, you can clearly see where that design ends before reaching the figure in question's head. I never thought in any way this was or remotely resembled LHO. I am undecided on whatever the figure appears to be holding. I don't see any strong evidence that Marion Baker was heading towards the mailboxes instead of the entrance. I thought it could resemble Bill Shelley possibly but even if he discarded his jacket momentarily, I doubt he took his tie off and put it back on so quickly. The other intriguing piece of evidence that I saw for the first time was the doorway closeups of the Towner film. I have long said that something must have happened there at the turn for it to be completely erased from photographic existence! There's the splice in the Towner film, the stopping and starting in Zapruder (that never happened in his filming of the event that) completely erasing the whole turn onto Elm Street, and various other filmers whose films just happened to stop as the limo turned onto Elm. Just too big of a coincidence that so many filmers that day and not a single one captured the turn from Houston to Elm. Why? I have always known there was something they did not want us to see that happened there. Maybe an earlier missed shot. Various witnesses have said at one time or another that they heard the first shot either as the limo turned onto Elm or shortly after it made the turn. If not that, then possibly someone showed up on these films they did not want us to see in the crowd. LHO maybe? Jack Ruby? I can't say what it was, but logic just suggests that it was definitely something that went against the Warren Commission lone-nut assassin scenario. I do not think that JFK authorized a staged false flag attack on himself. Just my opinion, but after turning down things like Operation Northwoods, I just don't see this as something he'd do. I'm not gonna completely rule it out however. That could explain why JFK didn't duck down after hearing a first missed shot sensing no real danger. I wouldn't lean towards Bobby authorizing a false flag attack either although it could explain why he wasn't vocal about not believing the official story. If they took his plan and turned it into a real assassination using his people then it would effectively neuter him. I just don't think this is likely. There have been several reports of some kind of false flag attempt being staged that day. Some more credible than others. A lot of talk about an abort team. And this abort team not expecting a real assassination. They expected some kind of simulated attack and were as shocked as anyone when a real attack happened. To me, this screams of CIA. If this did occur at all. They formed this plan as a more tame version of Northwoods, but never ran it by the president or his staff. It would have been an "off-the-books" operation. This abort team was expecting a simulated attack but the real team knew it was a greenlight to kill the man. These are my thoughts. Right or wrong that is just how I feel at the moment. I am very open-minded when it comes to the assassination because stranger things have been all but proven to be true. Remember folks, we are all in this together. Most of us here probably think LHO (or at least the one killed by Ruby, lol!) did not shoot anyone that day and was most certainly not up in a sixth floor window at the time of the shooting. We all want to contribute and all want to see new evidence come forth that proves that this man did not do it! In that spirit, let's try our best not to snipe (pun intended, lol!) at each other and be so condescending towards each other. We definitely should challenge each other, but do it in a respectful manner. Whether you disagree with someone's theory completely or someone is ridiculing your theory. 30 pages of a thread is a ton of ground to cover! It would be easier to navigate if maybe ten of those pages weren't different posters going at each other because they disagree. Agree to disagree and move on. We all need to scour these videos and still frames as closely as we can though and try and gleam any new details we can from them. Is Lovelady still alive? Can any of the forum members contact him if so just to ask him if he was waving any kind of flag as the limo passed by or if he saw someone doing so? I'm not going to rule out any other TSBD employees being involved in some kind of intelligence operation. But I probably wouldn't lean that way. The building was owned by D.H. Byrd, one of the founders of the Civil Air Patrol. The very same CAP that David Ferry was an instructor in and a young LHO was a part of. The TSBD could very well have been a front somewhat for CIA gun running or something of the sort. I have read somewhere that illegal guns were possibly shipped there in the book crates and then diverted elsewhere. In that case most of your employees would be oblivious to such an operation and would work for the actual TSBD while a select few with intelligence backgrounds would handle the illegal activities. Much like has been suggested that another former Oswald employer Reilly Coffee Company was just a front for intelligence operations. Hasn't it been questioned whether Bill Shelley was an asset of the Agency before? Alright, my post is already SUPER long so I'll leave it at that for now.
