Coleman had been very actively involved with Clay Shaw and the ITM. My correspondent ended his email with the comment "those old spooks stick together." A little digging, and sure enough... Coleman is one of the Louisiana delegates to the convention - in fact, the oldest at 89. A little more digging and I found he is Chairman of a "Delaware Corporation" called International Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT). IMTT was fined $400,000 last year for violation of the Clean Water Act. The violation resulted from intentionally presenting incorrect water samples for testing. But it gets better... Coleman's spooky ties now include membership of a CIA inspired and publicly little known group called BENS (Business Executives for National Security). BENS claims to be non-partisan... but here is an alpha list of members and their companies. Try and find one among them who either is not affiliated with the Republican Party, or has not been a major campaign contributor to the Republicans. IMTT is no exception -- a major contribitor to the Republican Party - zero to the Dems. Needless to say, there is more than a sprinkling of defence contractors among them... Stick together?
