If this has already been reported then accept my apologies.

Evidence indicating that the collapse of the World Trade Center was a controlled demolition has been propelled back under the national spotlight following the University of Copenhagen’s announcement that dust obtained from the rubble of the twin towers contains evidence of highly explosive material.

There is nothing new here I don't know why Watson is pretending there is the paper was released a year and a half ago. The University of Copenhagen in no way endorsed the paper or its findings. By "propelled back under the national spotlight" Watson seems to mean that "wtc collapse" was the top search term on Google one day.

The authors had to resort to paying several hindered dollars to get the paper published in an obscure for profit journal that does follow standard peer review procedures.

If this has already been reported then accept my apologies.

More gibberish.

Did experts find explosive materials or not?

A group of truthers only half of whom (or less) have relevant expertise examined some WTC dust samples and found "red-grey chips" in them which they claim are thermite but evidence suggests they are paint. They have not given outsides access to the samples nor had them tested by independent labs.

They were not able to get their paper published in a reputable journal so it appeared in one that will seemingly publish just about anything as long as the authors pay a fee of about $ 800.

Len,

Looking into the University of Copenhagen; they have no enterprise or studies involving anything associated with the World Trade Center or 9/11. Apparently (from small bits of information available, much of low repute based upon the questionable veracity of the media sites queried) An associate professor named Harrit was involved with some other chemists who found materials in dust located at or near the WTC site that exhibited characteristics similar to properties of powdered iron oxide and aluminum metals, highly energetic material sometimes referred to as thermate (sic).

The Articles in the questionable journals state that this information was announced by the University of Copenhagen. This is emphatically untrue.

I would also caution readers to look between the lines in the exact verbiage used since the media devices have used license to "amplify" the statement to make statements that are not actually true either; i.e. There is a difference between similar characteristics and actually constituting the identified material.

But this is nothing new to these fringe publications, and any individuals involved should take care that infomration they release will be hashed up a bit if it serves the agenda of fringe groups that aren't necessarily concerned about the absolute truth.
