Who was Jack Ruby?

Ruby placed bets for customers at, as well as directing some to, the Enquire Press and Shine shop two doors down from the Carousel for racing and sports bets.  Owned and run by Izzy and Dave Miller it was overseen by Dallas boss Joe Civello's gambling lieutenant Eli Stone.  Stone was under indictment at the time of the assassination for tax evasion, at the behest of RFK's Organized Crime Task Force.  The IRS placed microphones in the shop and overheard Ruby either placing bets or discussing the business of such  (I can't remember which at the moment).  Stone was convicted in 1964.  This is all from the book Betrayal In Dallas by Mark North.  I don't agree with it's conclusion that LBJ did it with the mob, but it is well documented and has some interesting info.  There's a great picture in it of Ruby standing in front of the Enquire with it's neon on, a stripper on each arm, head thrown back laughing.  No credit for that pic and I couldn't find it on line.

Jack Ruby used the offices of the Dallas Morning News as his all morning till past 1PM safe alibi excuse hang out while the big event happened just around the corner.

Ruby is so gaga about Jackie and loves JFK so much he is in tears after his murder, yet he won't even go down just two floors below and a few blocks away to see his beloved president and his beautiful wife in the close up flesh when he has the rare chance to do so?

Ruby told the Warren Omission he didn't leave the offices of the Dallas Morning news for hours before, during and even after JFK and Jackie passed by because he was uncomfortable with big crowds ! ?

Then later that night Ruby thrusts himself into the body crushing crowd in the DPD building and on Sunday morning Ruby again thrusts himself into the street crowd outside the DPD building and into the body pressing crowd in the DPD basement?

Not to mention Ruby's attendance at such crowded events as state fairs, major boxing events, YMCA pools and gyms, other street parades etc.

Check out this person and his HSCA testimony.

Irwin Signey Weiner.

You must read his HSCA testimony.

To do so, link to this via the JFK assassination witness site.

Lifetime friend since childhood of Jack Ruby's brother Earl.

Was called by Jack Ruby to help Ruby deal with his stripper's union demands.

This guy is totally connected to the highest level organized crime figures of the day. Santos Trafficante, Sam Giancanna, Jimmy Hoffa, etc.

He is personally close to infamous Chicago and Detroit Mafia hit men Dave Yaras and Lenny Patrick.

And Ruby's brother Earl is so close to this guy he can personally call him when he needs a favor for his brother Jack?

Jack Ruby and his brother were closer to the Mob than most will ever acknowledge.

Ruby told the Warren Omission he didn't leave the offices of the Dallas Morning news for hours before, during and even after JFK and Jackie passed next to the DMN building because he was uncomfortable with big crowds...and they bought this outrageous lie!

I’m not sure what part of this you are casting is a lie, Joe, but Jim Coley corroborates Ruby’s story of being at DMN offices through that period.

Michael, Ruby was at those Dallas Morning News offices during that time on 11,22,1963.

Of course he didn't lie about this to the WC.

I didn't say he did.

The point of my post is the ridiculous explanation by Ruby regarding his staying in those offices for so many hours with long waits to see and talk to different ad people ( did he normally hang out there that many hours? ) at the same time that his beloved JFK and Ruby's classy beautiful crush Jackie (whom Ruby was willing to KILL for ) were passing right underneath him and all he had to do was go down a few floors to the sidewalk to see them up close and in the flesh. A rare event that probably would never present itself to a guy like Ruby the rest of his lifetime.

He didn't.

And considering all these known past facts about Ruby's normal social behavior and stated adulation for JFK and Jackie Kennedy a reasonably curious person is forced ask why.

It's that illogically long stay at the DMN offices by Ruby during a momentous event that should have excited him to do more than hide away in half-empty offices of the DMN building ( DMN employees were out watching the motorcade ) especially because of his professed adoration of Jackie Kennedy that shouts suspicion.

And it is doubly suspicious when Ruby throws out to the WC this laughable explanation for avoiding the motorcade because of a newly professed phobia ... that he felt uncomfortable in crowds?

Yet Ruby's long time social history includes large crowd race track visits, attending large crowd state fairs, major boxing matches, YMCA pools and city skating rinks, MCing his crowd at the Carousel Club, travel to tourist crowded Havana and thrusting himself into the unbelievable crowded and frantic Dallas Police Department building just hours after JFK was hit.

Crowd phobia Ruby then rushes to and past the Dallas Police Department building crowd outside the basement entrance and again rushes down into the incredibly crowded DPD basement to do the ultimate crowd inciting act.... point blank shooting of Oswald?

Please.

The Warren Commission let this laughably illogical story of Ruby's stand without responsible questioning and they even threw out Seth Kantor's rational and credible testimony ( versus Ruby's crazy meandering testimony ) of seeing Ruby at Parkland hospital the afternoon of 11,22,1963.

Ruby's guilt shielding whereabouts alibi during the JFK shooting was the Dallas Morning News building offices..and I am certain purposely planned as such.

Who was Jack?  Wikipedia gets it wrong.  "born Jack Leon Ruby".  No, born Jacob Rubenstein.  He adopted the name Leon from a former early mentor in Chicago, when he legally changed his name to Jack Leon Ruby..

BTW, he changed his name to avoid discrimination regarding being Jewish.  He was paranoid about it but still proud of the fact.  jmo on the last part

Retired Dallas Sheriff Al Maddox is on video and audio record ( available on You Tube ) as stating that Jack Ruby passed him a personally written note in which he ( Ruby) states that there was a conspiracy to assassinate President John F. Kennedy and that his motive in shooting Oswald was to silence him.

My question to those who still defend Ruby's previous claims of innocence of involvement in a JFK murder conspiracy and his motive for shooting Oswald was out of love and concern for Jackie Kennedy ...

What do you make of Ruby's conspiracy acknowledging note to Sheriff Maddox?

Also, I ask the same question regards Dallas Police Department dispatcher Billy Grammer in his statement that he believed it was Jack Ruby who called into his department the evening before 11,24,1963 warning of an attempt on Oswald's life the very next day and that the plans for moving Oswald should be changed?

So you ask, how is Jack Ruby possibly related to the 2020 Super Bowl?

Well in 1960 Dallas oilman Clint Murchison procured the NFL rights to what became the Dallas Cowboys.  Yes the same Clint Murchison who at the time paid for the annual summer vacations to the California Santa Anita race track for FBI director J Edgar Hoover and his, associate Clyde Tolson.

That same year the son of the richest man in the world at the time, Dallas oil man H L Hunt, Lamar Hunt established the Dallas Texans in the new found American Football League.  In 1963 they won the AFL Championship in overtime beating the two time champion Houston Oilers.

Lamar Hunt gave up on competing for fans in Dallas.  Moved to KC.  Thus we have the Chiefs and MyHomes from Whitehouse Texas, a hundred miles east of Dullas.

JR relates through Lamar's daddy Harrison Lafayette, indirectly, obliquely.

"Harry Hall, whom the Secret Service deemed a reliable witness, told Secret Service and FBI agents that in the early 1950's he was involved in a scheme to bilk rich Texans through high stakes bets."

"Ruby on occasion provided Hall with a bankroll and introduced him to likely victims, with Ruby taking 40% of any deal … because he was supposed to have influence with the police …"

"Hall related that one of these victims, from whom they won a large sum of money on Football bets, was Texas billionaire (the only one at the time) H L. Hunt."

Jack Ruby refers to Dallas Morning News ad man John Newnam often in his WC testimony regards Ruby's presence and actions in the DMN building before and up to the time of the news announcement of the shooting in Dealey Plaza.

Mr. Newnam's WC testimony recounts Ruby's presence in Newnam's office on the 2nd floor on 11,22,1963 from 12:40 PM when Newnam returned from watching the JFK motorcade 7 blocks away on Main Street.

Newnam testified he only saw Ruby in his office area from 12:40 PM and not at all earlier in the day.

Newnam gives timelines regards Ruby's presence, actions ( his call to his sister ) and departure but he is unsure as to the exact times beyond 1: PM and whether Ruby left at that time or later.

Newnam wasn't sure if Ruby was present in the office area when news of JFK's actual  death was announced on National TV.

If Ruby left Newnam's office around 1:PM or even 10 minutes later, that would give Ruby time to drive to Parkland, park, rush in and bump into Seth Kantor either right before Malcolm Kilduff's JFK death announcement or soon after.

Newnam was Ruby's best corroborative witness to back up his DMN presence, actions and departure time line WC testimony.

When you read Newnam's actual WC testimony about Ruby in the DMN building with him however, Newnam is clearly unsure about Ruby's departure time between the news of the shooting and the news of JFK's actual death. A critical factor in the Seth Kantor Parkland  meet up case.

Yet, the WC still decided to dismiss Kantor's Ruby at Parkland recollections and believe Ruby's claim of never going to Parkland. I read once that Kantor's WC questioner Burt W. Griffin changed his mind years later regards believing Ruby over Kantor and Kantor's claim of meeting and talking to Ruby at Parkland.

True?

Paul, If you really want to know Who was Jack Ruby I forgot about reading this years ago.  "6/6/1922, age 11, referred to Institute for Juvenile Research"  "recommended … he be placed … where he might be afforded … that would end his interest in street gangs."  WCR.  Gangs, age 11?
