Yeah, and Marita was out in the Everglades doing military training with the Cuban exile guys....which apparently didn't take since by 1963 she was making Miami newspaper headlines because of her paternity suit against a Latin American dictator in exile....suggest enabling sanity check...

Larry, while you're checking... don't forget the strangeness of the Sturgis arrest in NY for attempting to "assassinate" Marita and his subsequent "confession" to those two NYC Detectives.

I for one believe Marita Lorenz is telling the truth to the best of her memory in her deposition.

Much of what she says has been confirmed in recent years in conversations that I have had with retired NYPD Detective James Rothstein, who knows Marita. In fact he arranged from all her files, which he had perused in her apartment in NYC in 1977 while awaiting the arrival of Frank Sturgis, to be transported by a fellow NYPD police officer to Washington, D.C. to the Select Committee on Assassinations. Her files were so delivered and promptly disappeared.

To question Marita's sanity as is done in a reply here is to defame someone who performed heroic deeds in behalf of our country, putting her life on the line many times in so doing. Such cynicism only serves to discourage others who have firsthand knowledge from coming forth to contribute what they know.

I have no problem believing anything bizarre if it involves Frank Sturgis.   His bizarre relationship with Marita Lorenz is also a fantastic tale.

The truth remains -- Sturgis engaged Marita Lorenz in Cuba to be a double-agent, to use a love-affair with Fidel Castro to try to kill him.  And she fell in love with Castro and refused to go through with the plan.

Anything so bizarre that remains true can easily suggest even more bizarre occurrences.   Some people are over-achievers, and are only happy when they are out-performing themselves -- even in the bizarre.

I also have no problem believing that CIA agent E. Howard Hunt was a low-level flunky in the plot to kill JFK.  He even confessed this to his son, so that's a fact.

Hunt also admitted that it was Frank Sturgis who invited him into the plot to kill JFK.   It's telling because Frank Sturgis wasn't a CIA agent.  This upholds a theory that the JFK plot wasn't a CIA plot, but a Radical Right civilian plot.

Given the bizarre but factual nature of a Hunt-Sturgis-Lorenz relationship, I find no need to question the truth of her story.  Lee Harvey Oswald regularly lied to Marina Oswald about his associates and his location.

Marina Oswald is the only WC source of the associates and location of Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963.  Her story falls apart -- not because Marina Oswald was lying, but because Lee Harvey Oswald lied to her.

Face it -- it really doesn't take that much time to drive from Texas to Florida and back.  If Marita Lorenz's story actually took place between October 2 and October 7, then can easily guess what Lee Harvey Oswald did when he left Mexico City.

Paul Trejo says H. Howard Hunt was a "low level flunky" prior to the assassination. Must be Paul's flunky reading and use of his Hagelian Dialectics. Throw-out the Hegelian encyclopedia that you have conjured-up in your head Paul.

-Hunt was the son of Everette Howard Hunt, Sr., an attorney and Republican Party official.

-Hunt graduated  and Brown University in 1940.

-During World War II Hunt served in the:

---U.S. Navy

----United States Army Air Forces,

----Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in China

 - Hunt joined the CIA in October 1949 as a political action specialist, in what came to be called their Special Activities Division. The CIA was the successor organization of the OSS.

-Hunt became station chief in Mexico City in 1950, and supervised William F. Buckley, Jr., who worked for the CIA in Mexico during the period 1951–1952. Buckley and Hunt remained lifelong friends.William F. Buckley was godfather to Hunts children.

-In Mexico, Hunt helped devise Operation PBSUCCESS, the successful covert plan to overthrow Jacobo Árbenz.

-Following assignments in Japan and as station chief in Uruguay, Hunt was given the assignment of forging Cuban exile leaders in the United States into a broadly representative government-in-exile that would, after the Bay of Pigs Invasion, form a provisional government to take over Cuba.

-After the Bay of Pigs, Hunt became a personal assistant to Allen Dulles.

-Hunt was asked to assist Dulles in writing a book, The Craft of Intelligence, that Dulles wrote after he lost his job as CIA head in 1961.The book was published in 1963.

And Paul Trejo concludes that Frank Sturgis invited Hunt in on the plot to kill JFK...and

"This upholds a theory that the JFK plot wasn't a CIA plot, "

.........some flunky. He ends up working in the White House EOB in 1972.

Jennifer Lawrence is going to play Marita in the movie "Marita" for Sony.

I'll eat my tinfoil hat if the movie includes anything about JFK. I'm sure it will be all about her Fidelity to Castro.

Hey Doug, despite the position not being popular, I think there is much truth to her stories. I can't say i believe everything, she was a survivor and she wanted to protect her daughter and therefore could easily have fudged and recanted on events that she perceived were "unhealthy" to be heard talking about.

Can Jennifer Lawrence be hot enough and intriguing enough for the portrayal of sultry and multilingual Marita?

Lawrence is now into her prime as an actress. Maybe she can.

And who will portray Castro and macho man Sturgis?  Karl Urban?

The Sturgis character has to be real.  Gung-Ho dangerous crazy real.

Like G. Gordon Liddy or Gerry Patrick Hemming.

Hemming looked like Clint Walker when he was younger IMO.
