Even though the listing seems to go to unusual lengths to suggest it may not be true.... Quote Contested cryptonym for Lee Harvey Oswald. Cited by CIA officer James Wilcott. Not corroborated. [status: Speculative] .... it's real progress to at least acknowledge Mr. Wilcott's long-suppressed assertion. One thing I'd like to add is that Mr. Wilcott several times referred to "Oswald or the Oswald Project." Thank you for your efforts on this. Most worthwhile. Michael, Actually, I’m the one who brought up the RXZIM cryptonym for “Oswald.” The Pseudonyms and Aliases list is closely related to the Cryptonym list. In fact, there is a hyperlink to the Cryptonym list right on the Mary Ferrell page Bill Simpich pointed to in the OP. Despite the obvious caution, it is real progress to get RXZIM on the list. The current status will probably always exist. My bet is that every reference everywhere to RXZIM began being scrubbed immediately after the assassination of JFK. In his note above, Mr. Parnell didn’t mention that, from the HSCA’s own notes, it is obvious that Wilcott wasn’t allowed to fully testify under oath, and that Wilcott had to agree “to not reveal specifics of specific questions.” Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Larry Hancock Posted August 26, 2019 Share Posted August 26, 2019 Everyone should note that we go to as much effort as possible citing the source documents and materials from which all the crypts, pseudo's and aliases are developed. That allows everyone to make their own call as to how reliable they are; some are extremely well corroborated but of course others may be single sourced, making them speculative. The whole idea is for everyone to be able to see the sources behind the listings. In many cases we have a number of back and forth debates in reviews before taking something live and continue to make modifications, even with the crypts.....its a work in progress and one that requires a huge amount of pure slogging in the documents.
