Older voters are more inclined to vote for the prez, reduction in their numbers is a negative for them. Florida is the retirement State. And a strapping strong athletic young man of extreme wealth and indulgence who when of draft age used five questionable deferments to get out of active military service when he was called to serve his country himself. Wonder if any of these cadets have ever done even the most limited reading of Trump's personal biography and often shady career and dealings in business and other areas as mentioned above and not formulated at least some doubt about his integrity relative to their own honor code? And what do these cadets think when they see more former highest ranking military leaders recently going public with the most severe criticism of a sitting Commander In Chief in modern American history? Yes, JFK had many generals hating him after the Bay Of Pigs and the Cuban Missile Crisis, but they didn't go public with this criticism as those today are doing regards Trump. Even the current Joint Chief Of Staff Chairman General Willey going public to apologize for allowing himself to be a part of Trump's DC church photo op? Willey stated he was so regretful of being pulled into this Trump political stunt he considered resigning his position! Or, are cadets purposely kept so insulated from our daily news and reality, they don't even know of such things regards Trump? There was a neighbourhood push-back against the police in 1999, when the riot squads directed WTO protesters across the bridge (over the I-5) into the district. People were very angry at the sudden presence of armoured police with batons and tear gas. They are not inclined to see the riot police as their friends. I don’t believe anyone in Seattle really considers an “autonomous zone” as anything but an overt description of the characteristics of the district, if somewhat theatrical. The response to the CHAZ, by Trump and right-wingers represented by Fox News, is deliberately hysterical and over-stated. If there is a police/national guard over-reaction, it will serve only their immediate political interests and could lead to a wave of new tension across the country.
