Frames of the Couch film

Recommended Posts

Here are some frames of the Couch. I can't locate right now the one showing officer Baker running toward the TSBD.

Second photo shows Babushka Lady, the fourth one shows a man in black that I mistakenly identified as Zapruder, the sixth one shows two bicycles on the grassy knoll (!), the next one shows what appears a "citizen's arrest", the one after shows a cameraman on the left of the image, and the last one shows a DPD policeman with his gun withdrawn.

Ourstanding, Denis! I have never seen several of these frames.

Where did you get them?

Yes Jack, Denis is a good investigator.

I urge everyone who hasn't done so to take a look a t Denis's website (link).

Ron Ecker's website (link) is also very good.

These video frames are indistinct on the facial characteristics, but show the movement of groups of people, and especially captures the downhill, downrange "well" aspects of the Dealey Plaza "Arcade" as witness Millican called it.

A very interesting shot of the stalled truck on the south knoll side.

Thanks for the evidence, Denis.

Thanks for your words, Jack and Shanet. The Couch film frames are from PBS' JFK: BREAKING THE NEWS, I believe. I would have to check. I have the show on DVD, and captured these frames with a software called SNAGIT. If anyone has a digital camera, a capture software is sometimes included with the camera software. You plug a cable from your VHS or DVD and plug the other end at the back of your computer video card.

The frame from the John Martin film is from Robert Groden's The Assassination Films.

Here are two more. One of the front of the TSBD. I thought we could see Marrion Baker running towards the TSBD, but cannot see him on that frame. I must have it somewhere, and the other one shows a cop and "Clappy Man" who claps his hands in the Zapruder film and a policeman.

Good stuff, Denis, nice work.

In the image second from the left, is that Mary Moorman in the dark coat kneeling and Jean Hill next to her?

Also, in the image 3rd from the right, if you look at the left of frame, does that show a man being escorted down the knoll (possibly being detained/under arrest)?

Again, excellent work, Denis.

I see the resemblance to the young women with the Polaroid, but this group looks to be a bit further east and uphill from Moorman/Hill. Moorman was down in the well looking up. Could be though.,,,

If I am not mistaken, this one is also of the Couch film.

If this is from the Couch film, it's of a second Couch film taken some time after the motorcade passed through. The Couch film as depicted on the Groden DVD is taken from a convertible in the motorcade.

Is this the "Secret Service" agent, who wasn't supposed to be there....?

The "stalled truck" could have served as a concealed source location for a shot, this would roughly be in line with a south knoll trajectory....

Denis...do you have the frames following this one, which according

to Couch show the pool of blood on the sidewalk by the depository?

The entire street full of traffic was at a standstill. That's why Tague got out of his car to watch the parade.

Yes, it's Moorman. You can see her and Jean in the same position in Bond #4.

Bill, you are the man I was looking for. Do you have the frames that show the bench where an alledged pool of blood was seen? Thanks.
