Interconnections

Recommended Posts

The interconnections of those of means, money, and power in New Orleans are so complex that few would ever expend the time looking for them, even were they to know of the existence.

This organization frequently resembles the "cellular" structure of organized crime activities as well as the same principals for covert operations.

This topic will cover some of these interconnections.

Beginning to sound like REX & the "Boston Club".

One should notice that it is presented by the "Times-Picayune".

Does the name Phelps come to mind here?

Also notice the 1901 receipent, Frank T. Howard.

May as well discuss the "Howard" family and the Confederate Hall where WDSU/Times-Picayune Radio set up.

Thomas, I wonder if I might be catching your drift here? Oswald while portrayed as 'a lone nut' was in fact part of a wide network of families. Presumably then what he does, as with any family member in such a grouping, would be known through the 'grapevine' of families gossip et.c.. So any one within that family grouping or attached to it could be privy to intimate details. Whatever the inclinations of such individual/s could determine what happens in Oswalds life re employment, setup, collusion, information, whatever. JohnD

ps does McClaskey figure in any of these family ties?

P.S. Does anyone know the connection of "Hegewisch" to the South Side of Chicago, organized crime, etc.

If not, then look up Hegewish, ILL & it's incorporation into the South side of Chicago.

One should certainly recognize the name "Dufour" as it is the Dufour of Dufour, Rosen, Wolff & Kammer.

Although all are interconnected in one manner or another, other than the positions, money, power, knowledge, & associations, there does not appear to be any DIRECT connection to LHO & his actions.

It would be hoped that the boxing connections from Chigago to New Orleans would not be missed, especially since it involved Gentleman Jim Corbett & John L. Sullivan.

For some reason, the name "Dutch" Murrett also comes to mind when thinking of New Orleans Athletics & Boxing.

Q. Who was your personal contact in Monroe, Louisiana for that local Gibson franchise?

DuFour, H. Generes, well known attorney of the Crescent City*, was born in the city of New Orleans.

In 1898, he took his law degree from Tulane University.

Mr. Dufour filled the important office of assistant U.S. District Attorney under the late William Wirt Howe.

He is associated with his brother, William C. Dufour under the name Dufour & Dufour.
