A part time student has contacted me and asked

I need to find out information on William Jessop, to be more precise I am

doing a study on Hanwell Locks Grand Union Canal, I need to find out the

engineering design problems with the Locks and how they were rectified.

I have produced a page on William Jessop here:

http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/RAjessop.htm

However, it is not very detailed.

This one is better:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Jessop

Others to take a look at include:

http://www.urban75.org/london/osterley.html

http://www.canalmuseum.org.uk/history/grandjun.htm

http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/jim.shead/The-Grand-Tour.html

http://www.canals.btinternet.co.uk/canals/grandunion.htm
