Freedom of expression/academic freedom in America

Brigham Young University has told Professor Jones to shut up about his research questioning the official conspiracy theory of 9/11.

It is necessary to link to the Jeff Rense unofficial conspiracy website on this because the mainstream corporate media is not covering it, due, of course, to that media's own lack of free expression.

Ron, this story has not appeared in the UK media. Could you explain what people like Professor Steven E. Jones believe happened?

John,

Here is the link to Jones’s paper, too logical to be tolerated, on the Brigham Young University website:

Here’s a clip of building WTC7 as it collapses symmetrically on 9/11, despite being hit by no airplane and with only scattered fires inside:

WTC leaseholder Larry Silverstein stated on TV a couple of years ago that a decision was made on the afternoon of 9/11 to “pull” WTC7. To pull a building is an industry term for controlled demolition. Silverstein has never offered an alternative explanation of what he meant. But we are expected by the government to believe that this building symmetrically collapsed as seen above because of some damage from debris and from scattered fires.

A logical assumption (Jones does not speculate on this) is that covert operatives used WTC7 as a base of operations for the WTC attacks of 9/11 (interestingly the building contained Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's emergency command center), for which all evidence of the operation then had to be destroyed by controlled demolition. Is there any other explanation?

Ron

Another American academic who has spoken out on the official conspiracy theory and been attacked for it is Morgan Reynolds, professor emeritus of economics at Texas A&M University. Reynolds is a former Bush administration official (chief economist in the U.S. Dept. of Labor).

Here is a link to his article on the WTC collapses:

The president of Texas A&M issued a statement stating that Reynolds is retired and has no office space at Texas A&M. The university president also said, “The American people know what they saw with their own eyes on September 11, 2001. (A lot of them certainly do, Mr. President!) To suggest any kind of government conspiracy in the events of that day goes beyond the pale.”

Incidentally, the president of Texas A&M University is former CIA director Robert Gates.
