It is a non commercial venture and offers free online resources to schools. The basic aim is to provide a mixture of distance learning for 6th form students with tutorial support through the week. I have successfully launched it with a Year 12 group and have reduced the amount of timetable time needed to cover the course by one half. This clealry makes it an attractive proposition for our school timetabler . I am convinced also that the flexibility and control of learning it can potentially give to students is very positive If any sociologists would like to be involved in the creation of the A2 resources it would be great to hear from you!
