D Letouzey
The 60th anniversary of the D-Day has been an important event. It shows again the difference between history and memory. Lots of resources have been published, either on prints, on video, on internet. Some photos taken 50 miles from the Landing beaches. Vire was destroyed on June 6th (350 civilians were killed by the bombings). The town has celebrated again its "liberators" from the US 29th infantry division http://hgtice.free.fr/vire/vire2004.htm Daniel
