"Common Ground"

Recommended Posts

In event one wishes to find the organizational structure which was directly behind LHO, then they must also find the "Common Ground" which would have existed.

Of course, one must first accept that LHO was in fact either the person who pulled the trigger or else the willing and designated "rabbit" to be chased.

However, when one considers LHO's actual background, then it is found that his "training" as it may be, was originated well prior to JFK having taken office.

Therefore, most unlikely that LHO was originally targeted to the assassination of JFK, and this ultimately came about either as a direct change in target, or else LHO took it upon himself to do so.

my apologies if this is not in line with your intent here Tom. I'll move it elsewhere if you wish.

"Soon after the assassination Nashville Attorney Richard Ely told a (white) Citizens Council that President John F. Kennedy “died a tyrant’s death.” The attorney can hardly be so ignorant of his country’s history as not to know that he was saying in English what Wilkis Booth had said in Latin. The reactionaries and racists of present-day America have shamelessly taken over the torch of hatred and violence from their predecessors of a century ago.

That excesses and acts of terrorism were in preparation in the South against Federal authorities and that the preparers were ultra-reactionaries and racists was known to the whole world. For his recent book on latter-day fascists and nazis Daily Herald correspondent Dennis Eisenberg made a thorough study of the activities of ultra-reactionary organizations in the United States.

The conclusion he arrived at was that such organizations would have no trouble in choosing from among their members a crack marksman or group of marksmen to slay the man they thought the most dangerous Communist agent in the Western world—John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Kennedy himself received warnings from all quarters not to go to Texas, which the oil magnates and millionaire cattle dealers had made the chief centre of the American “ultras.” Texas Governor Connally even flew to Washington to urge Kennedy to put his visit off. And when the irreparable happened, public opinion at once pointed its finger at the probable perpetrators of the crime.

A curious detail. I have before me a copy of the European edition of the New York Herald Tribune for November 23–24, carrying the announcement of the President’s death. On the same black-bordered front page it gives the Dallas police version without comment. And on the third page it presents an article entitled: “Texas Home for Radicals of All Persuasions.” The idea, apparently, was to take a neutral stand and show the activity of both Right and Left extremists in Dallas. But the only Left organization it turned up there was the Dallas United Nations Association! And the activity this organization engaged in was to invite Adlai Stevenson to give a public lecture in the city (after which the ultras spat on him and hit him with a stick). (Walker,Weissmann,Schmidt et al)

Of ultra-Right organizations, on the other hand, it found a whole spate. There are the John Birch Society (the idea of which, incidentally, was conceived right there in Dallas), and the National Indignation Convention founded by wealthy Dallas businessman Frank McGhee, and Texans for America—the brain child of cattle dealer J. Evetts Haley.

Only last April the windows of Jewish-owned shops in Dallas were pasted over with black swastikas. Also, as the paper points out, “two of the country’s leading Right-wing advocates live in Dallas.” They are multimillionaire H. L. Hunt, who financed the late unlamented Senator McCarthy, and retired General Edwin A. Walker, führer of the American ultras.

There you have the associations the first news of the terrorist act in Dallas evoked.

Of General Walker. Immediately after the assassination he gave an interview to the West-German ultra-militarist Nationalzeitung und Soldaten-Zeitung in which he did not trouble to conceal his satisfaction at what had happened. Kennedy’s death, he declared, did not come as a surprise, for plenty of inflammable matter had collected. He went on to predict that pretty big changes would follow in American policy, one of them being, in his opinion, that the United States and the G.F.R. (West Germany) would become “real partners.”

There is no question about it—the trail leads to the camp of the ultras."

A month later Chancellor Erhard (GFR) visited LBJ in his Texas Ranch accompanied by KriminalRat Ewald Peters, Member of the SS EinsatzGruppen Kommando responsibe for a million or so deaths of Communists and Jews as operation Barbarossa proceeded. This was before the establishment of the large scale Gas installations to speed up the slaughter of Bolsheviks, Jews, and other 'sub humans'.

He was also the Head of security for the JFK Berlin Visists and and unnamed US Presidential Detail member spoke highly of him.

When unmasked by East German Nazi Hunters in February 1964, upon a return from a visit to Rome he was arrested and jailed. He 'committed suicide' in jail. Apart from short references in news papers of the time, essentially he has been written out of the history books.

To date, only one person with the "common" ground has been found.

Prior to listing the name, which will ultimately become obvious, it would be perhaps best to

list some of this common ground.

The listing represents the exact item/person/etc; which was found within the person's possessions.

Some discussions will follow each item as listed.

Correspondence Series

---------------------------

1. William Douglas Pawley 1954

William Douglas Pawley should require no introduction to anyone who has followed the political and economic history of Cuba; Haiti; South America; China; India; and so on.

And specifically the association of Pawley to various anti-Castro elements in which Gerry Hemming played some roles.

However, for the sake of those who have only recently come aboard, a few new developments which were made known only on this forum may be in order.

a. The John Birch Society is named after a reported missionary who served in China at the time that William D. Pawley and the Flying Tigers/Claire Chennault were operational.

Birch was in fact working for OSS elements and was captured and executed.

William D. Pawley's wife, Annie Hahr Dobbs, was a direct line cousin to John Birch.

b. The William D. Pawley family initially gained their wealth through operation of a "Commissary" type store just outside the Guantanamo, Cuba Naval Base, and thereafter moving this operation to Haiti after the US Marine Corps occupied Haiti.

At the time when the Pawley family was operating in Haiti, many of those with whom they had to deal with came from the Mississippi & Louisiana costal area.

This, once understood, is explainable in that the US Minister (Ambassador) to Haiti at the time was from New Orleans, LA.

Thus, the Pawley family operation would have been directly involved with someone from the New Orleans, La area in the early 1900's when their business was in full force in Haiti.

c. 1954 is of course the point in time during which William D. Pawley became engaged in the Guatemala episode of/for United Fruit.

d. As posted under the Pawley topic heading, William D. Pawley was heavily involved with Convair, therefore one may as well post here (repeat) that Robert Oswald was employed by Convair at the time that LHO decided to leave for the Soviet Union.

2. Samuel Zemurray 1939-45

Samuel Zemurray of New Orleans, LA is of course the "force" behind the United Fruit Company.

Those who may not have taken the time to read up on Zemurray and his wealth; power; and position within New Orleans and the extension of this power through the United Fruit Company to Cuba; Guatemala; and other South and Central American countries, should do so in order to attemp to gain some understanding of exactly who and what United Fruit represented throughout Latin America.

That 6-years of correspondence existed, demonstrates the extremely close connections to United Fruit as well as to New Orleans, LA and the wealth and power which eminated from this city.

3. Fidel Castro 1959

Not much to say here with the exception to remind that Fidel Castro was in fact the son of a relatively wealthy (by Cuban standards) United Fruit Company foreman/supervisor.

4. Claire L. Chennault 1945

Most of the Chennault ties have been previously posted on this forum. They include the direct association of Claire Chennault with William D. Pawley and the Flying Tigers; Chennault's family background association to Louisiana; as well as the Shinley work which revealed that Chennault was among those who was to be contacted in an attempt to obtain aircraft for the 1954 Guatemala episode in which Pawley was heavily engaged.

Do not know! I would suppose that it may actually have to do with his physical size as he was a large individual.

John;

The information which is now being posted IS NOT merely a listing of right-wing, etc; individuals and organizations.

These are from the papers, documents, etc; of a SINGLE INDIVIDUAL, and they represent the absolutely ONLY person who had communications with, association to and with, etc; the great majority of the individuals and/or organizations of which much is written on this forum about.

And, despite what many may or may not think, herein lies most of the answers to the assassination.

I would therefore highly recommend that anyone who is searching for the answers as to the WHO?, that the thoroughly check out the names and subjects which will be listed.

The previous listing began with the Individual Correspondence Files, and although this will be continued, it is best to separate this from other type files which include:

SUBJECT FILES

------------------------

1. For America 1954 1955 1956 and updated

Although the information on the above right-wing grouping was previously posted, it's importance and connections to New Orleans and thereafter direct connections to LHO, can not be over-emphasized.

That this individual was involved with the "FOR AMERICA" from it's beginning is indicative of the close ties to New Orleans which will be further demonstrated in additional/later postings.

Due to the importance of this connection, I will, once again provide the importance of the connection.

Jerry P. Shinley Archive:

Maurice Gatlin and Guatemala '53 - '54

That is how the FBI version of the meeting ends. According to a CIA document dated June 26, 1953, the following also occurred:

-

After leaving the FBI offices, BARRIOS and GATLIN met with a Mr. DUNBAR, who occasionally represents the United Fruit Co. in New Orleans. They asked for one million dollars from the United Fruit Co., in support of BARRIOS' intended revolutionary movement in Guatemala, but they were unsuccessful in obtaining any commitment.

On June 25, 1953, the FBI was contacted by a retired Army officer, whose name has been withheld for privacy reasons (referred to here as P-1). P-1 said that Gatlin had approached him with a shopping list of armaments which included three P-38 fighters and three P-51 fighters, along with ammunition. Gatlin said he was acting on behalf of an unnamed Colonel (undoubtedly, Barrios y Pena) who was planning an anti-Communist revolution in Guatemala. Gatlin asked P-1 if he knew General Claire Chennault. P-1 replied that he did, and concluded that Gatlin assumed that P-1 could obtain the weapons through Chennault.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Under the Individual Correspondence, Claire Chennault's name was previously listed, along with William D. Pawley.

Eventually, I will get to the information which makes the complete connection of these persons.

However, before we leave New Orleans, may as well include:

2. International House Cunningham Award 1950

Of which the name "Purvis" can also be found in the handwritten diary of LHO.

A totally crazy idea:

Pieces that may mean nothing

This is speculative separate from the info you are developing Tom, but comments pro con of interest to me.

Realise I have a very free imagination, a patchy knowledge but perhaps a sense of what you are saying

Giant Garrison was not just 'big' but an integral part of the smokescreen. His investigation 'ferr'eted out individuals for disposal. Others collected leftover files. It was a matter of protection.

Kennedys alliance for progress had a potential that had to be eliminated.

Communication(PO), transport etc as departments of a monroe doctrine era company particularly of those dreaming of the great southern empire inevitably involved peripherals. This does not mean that they had anything to do with the assassination.

It is these incidentals that provide the grist for the half century of the evergrowing pockmarked landscape.

perhaps a revisit to small apparently unimportant portions of Oswalds radio interviews is a good idea?

In an Education Forum where facts may not be 'known' by all, questions are asked in a (sometimes vain) hope of learning the facts. So in time perhaps we will have a 'facts forum'.

Perhaps.

It depends to the extent those knowing some of the facts choose to share them.

The 'dream' of the Southern States Confederacy was to see a Great Southern Empire. Loosing the Civil War put a spanner in the works. Yet Latin/Southern America has remained a US playground. Kennnedy thretened this.

"Fidel Castro...Not much to say here with the exception to remind that Fidel Castro was in fact the son of a relatively wealthy (by Cuban standards) United Fruit Company foreman/supervisor."

An important fact about Fidel was that he was a son of a foreman/supervisor.

A foreman is an employee.

Fidel was (is) also EXTREMELY intelligent. (I think time will judge him a genius).

His main stroke of brilliance was to so thoroughly pull the wool over the eyes of the greatest Nation in proximity and consolidate the modern Cuba. The Chinese would call him a 'fox'. The CIA and hence the administrations that depended on their analysis were bound to fail. There was a brief moment in the Sierra Madres when perhaps they could have undone him, but they pushed the wrong way. Why? Perhaps the answer lies in the failure of momentary 'Comrades' like Morgan.

At an early age he saw the inequalities. This shaped his adult life as a Lawyer and then a Revolutionary. He had opportunitites through his fathers 'wealth', but it's what he did with that that is important. There is more to say about him and why he has become what and who he is today.

Another group from the 1920s that underwent the transformation from a nativist group to fascism was Harry Jung's American Vigilant Intelligence Federation.67

These groups also acted as intelligence networks. They infiltrated unions, leftwing groups, and universities, and they sold their information to industry. One example of such an intelligence agency was the American Vigilant Intelligence Federation, headquartered in Chicago and operated by Harry Jung.24 Jung later relocated to New Orleans where he was an associate of Guy Bannister, who also hailed from Chicago.* (Note: The source of this claim that Jung was in New Orleans is unknown and unverified)

14. John T. Flynn 1941-55

Flynn and several other "noninterventionists," a term they always preferred to "isolationists," gathered in mid-1938 to form the Keep America Out of War Committee (KAOWC) with Flynn as its national chairman

In August 1940, Flynn and retired Army General Robert Wood, the head of Sears, Roebuck and Company, gathered with several others to form the non-interventionist America First Committee (AFC). Differing markedly from KAOWC’s intellectual approach and its distance from the people, AFC was to be a mass movement formed to unite large numbers of citizens around the issue of keeping the nation out of war. Almost immediately, chapters were established all over America. In time, AFC grew to include 800,000 members.
