A company called Grid Learning Ltd are the new owners. Its first move was to make it a subscription only service (£3 per child per school per year, £29.99 for parents per year). It is not known how much was paid for GridClub. GridClub was the most popular web service in the world with 40 per cent of its members living outside the UK. Not that the government is concerned that children in other countries are being denied this free service.
