In regards to the Centex Corporation, I found this rather interesting document:

http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/....do?docId=56993

I wonder who this 'Swanson' was?

Could this be him?

http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/...mp;relPageId=28

(Last two paragraphs then continues over the page)

Through my perusal, I did not find the Centex Corp. Could you tell me what page it's on -- it's a rather large file. Donald O. Norton used to live at Art Swanson's address supposedly. This Swanson had a left-wing radio show. I never heard of the other Swanson mentioned.

Sorry Kathy, my mistake. I thought I'd posted the link directly to the page, I didn't realise, I left part of the URL off. Here is the correct link:

Francesca,

The 'Swanson' mentioned in that document was in fact Stuart G. Swenson. Amongst other things, he was a supporter of General Walker for govenor in 1962.

Thanks, Francesca. So far it seems like a coincidence. But I'd like to learn more about other employees or big shots involved with that company, Centex.

Thanks James. Isn't it funny how a lot of these people seem to lead back to Walker?!

While still in New York fighting deportation. Yoko and John were in touch with an organization that monitored police abuse within the United States. Yoko told someone in the organization that she and John wanted to get away for a quiet vacation, and she was told to call a woman in Ojai, California, near Santa Barbara. two hours north of Los Angeles. The woman had a mansion in an agricultural preserve and it was not being used.

When Yoko was told about Ojai, Her enthusiasm convinced John this was the perfect place. Ojai was known for its classical music festival, its quiet conservatism, its genteel and wealthy citizenry, its orange groves and private schools. It was also well known as a center of spiritualism. The famous guru Krishnamurti lived in the east end of town, not far from the mansion John and Yoko rented, back in the 1920’s, and, in fact, had his key mystical experience while walking the Ojai hills. Before that the mysterious visionary Chumash Indian tribe lived in the area. After Krishnamurti, came the Theosophists, who founded their own colony of mystics.

More recently, Ojai was the home to Aldous Huxley, the author and early psychedelic explorer. They loved the house. The owner was an Anglophile, so the beautifully landscaped grounds had the look of an English garden.......”

If I am not mistaken, this is from the book Yoko Ono page 173 by Jerry Hopkins

Interestingly enough, Huxley died on the same day that John F. Kennedy did.......

As a student of history, I do have other interests besides the JFK Assassination. Which probably explains why I have a copy of Madame Blavatsky's Baboon, by Peter Washington.....Which also happens to mention Ojai....maybe I shouldn't have posted this here, but the point was to show that California had some pretty strange persons and connections to the JFK & RFK assassinations in 1963 and 1968......Besides the John Birch Society.......If I was looking for any additional Murchison links in addition to some of the material presented on this thread, the Del Charro Set, and J.E. Hoover wouldn't be a bad place to look for linkages. FWIW

It's funny you mention this as I was just going to post about another link to California. I was just reading in 'Bloody Treason' that HL Hunt's son Nelson Bunker Hunt apparently bought a ranch in California.

Twyman got hold of CBS reporter Peter Noyes'; notes of his investigation into Hunt and an organisation called the AVG (American Volunteer Group) that said that:

"Rothermel said that..........Nelson proceeded with his plans to set up AVG and bought a ranch through real estate broker

William H. Cies................Rothermel said he did not know the exact location of the ranch Nelson Hunt purchased, but he thought it wa somewhere around Santa Maria (California). He saidhe would try to find out the exact location from his records.

Rothermel described the ranch as Nelson Hunt's West Coast base for para-military operations, maneuvers, etc. He also said Nelson Hunt had set up a similar organisation in Europe known as Der Burd and that it had taken several assignments from the CIA.

Rothermel did not state the exact date of his conversation with Nelson Hunt in California. Rothermel also discussed the

meeting at the Hunt Oil Company, November 21st, 1963. He said the reception log read as follows: To see Nelson and Lamar Hunt: Morgan Brown, Claud Duval, Roger Bauman and party. He said he was convinced by party Bauman meant Jim Braden"

(From page 559 of 'Bloody Treason' by Noel Twyman).

I find this very interesting. Would this ranch have been anywhere near Camarillo Ranch? Just wondering if there might have been some sort of connection between the two?

The book also mentions that the AVG was a spinoff organisation from the Minuteman. Twyman, also quoting from Noyes' notes says of this organisation:

" The topic of AVG was first mentioned to me in a conversation with former FBI agent Bill Turner in February of 1970. Turner said he had interviewed Robert DePugh, national leader of the Minutemen at Leavenworth where DePugh was imprisoned on conspiracy charges. According to Turner: DePugh said the Minuteman were split into a number of factions inclusing his original group: a Neo-Nazi faction and AVG.

DePugh claimed he tried to start AVG as a front organisation but others took it away from him. He apparently implied to Turner that AVG was a dangerous, para-military operation."

(From page 557 of 'Bloody Treason)

All this makes for interesting reading! Does anyone have any thoughts?!

I'd have to check notes of interviews not at hand, but if my memory serves me, Plumlee said he flew Roselli and others to a landing-strip near that Ranch in the months before the events of Dallas.

Peter,

I believe you are correct about the landing strip. There was also a weapons training facility not too far away.

James

If my assumption is correct that Rosselli acted as a bag man for the plotters, is there significance to his arrival here in the months prior to the assassination vis either a hired assassin's part payment and/or supply of gear.

Hmm, weapons training nearby!!! Do 2+2 make 4 in this case?

I just came across a reference here http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/...mp;relPageId=12

that says Jeanne deMohrenschildt's first husband, Robert LeGon, was a mental patient at Camarillo State Hospital in 1960. At that time Jeanne's daughter went to live with Jeanne's brother, Sergei Fomenko, who was a nuclear physicist who worked with Robert Oppenheimer.

JEANNE FOMENKO LE GON

In early 1957 George DeMohrenschildt and Jeanne Fomenko Le Gon, whose father had owned the Chinese National Railroad in pre-Communist China, ran off to Mexico together. The husband of Jeanne Fomenko Le Gon, Robert LeGon, went to the FBI, and asked the Bureau to open an Internal Security investigation on George DeMohrenschildt. Robert Le Gon was interviewed by FBI S.A. Hosty. James Hosty commented: "I was the second agent. It was actually Ed Kirkenthal who did the investigation. He would have written it up." [WCD 533 p69] The FBI Report concerning Robert Le Gon's complaint contained a deleted paragraph followed by the words "(The Dallas County District Attorney is Henry Wade, from Special Agent of the FBI." [Ltr. To Bureau 2.1.57 From SAC Dallas (105-632)]The interview with Robert Le Gon determined that another brother of Jeanne LeGon, Sergei Fomenko, worked with Robert Oppenheimer on the Manhattan Project developing the A-Bomb. The FBI had suspected that George DeMohrenschildt had been collecting data regarding the operation of a uranium plant. [WCD 532] On August 8, 1960, Robert Le Gon was officially committed to the Camillo [sic] State Mental Hospital and was diagnosed as schizophrenic reaction, paranoid type. [FBI 62-109060 Not Rec. 5.5.64] A daughter of George DeMohrenschildt married the son of a Vice President of Lockheed Aircraft. Lockheed, like General Dynamics, employed former Nazi scientists.

Linda,

I would attest that even more significant and least understood is DeMohrenschildt's wife from Philadelphia, Dr. D. D. Sharples, whose father owned Colorado oil wells, and is still alive and a Trustee of Temple Univeristy, home of Joan Mellen and the Man on the Motorcycle in MC.

Possibly so, but Sharples probably had nothing to do with Camarillo or the Oxnard phone call. What is intringuing about the Colorado oil wells, though, was that DeMohrenschildt was apparently working there during the time he was a partner of Edward G. Hooker, his brother Dimitry's wife's son. Hooker had been the man who introduced George to Lynn Sharples, who later became a doctor. All that happened before he met the love of his life, Jeanne LeGon, whose husband Robert lived in California with their daughter Christiana until he was sent off to the mental ward in Camarillo. I wonder if there was someone there trying to find out nuclear secrets from him. I seem to recall Jeanne's brother Sergei Fomenko was also involved in atomic research in California, working for Howard Hughes and Linnet Company of Beverly Hills; then Ramo-Wooldridge in Los Angeles; then North American Aviation.

The mention of Richard Sorge's name in connection with that of LeGon's daughter was a matter that seemed to fascinate Mary Ferrell who followed it in her chronologies:

Incidentally, more information about Hooker's relationship to George H.W. Bush appears in Russ Baker's book, Family of Secrets.
