I am hoping George HW Bush, Thomas J Devine, John D Macomber, Joseph F. Dryer, John PC Train, and Lester Crown --- do not ALL want the following to be their "On Line", legacy. Unless one changes course and attempts to clear up the well supported impressions they are leaving, these observations will be lasting parts of their legacies,

We dp not have much time to gather and share additional information before these six old men become incapable of choosing to speak candidly, hence we must quickly lay more details in front of them, in the fading hope of moving one or more of them away from their longstanding silence or obfuscation.

Please read this post with an inclination as to what you can do to help end the 21 years old absurdity of GHW Bush claiming that in November, 1963, the FBI briefed, and then made a record of the communication to a G-5 level, CIA photo interpreter, as to the progress of the FBI investigation of the assasination of JFK. A lowly G-5 employee new to CIA employment who also happened to be named "George Bush". I am hoping the material in this thread will agitate at least one of the six old men I named above. One area of help I have in mind is someone who lives near the archive at this link, http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/spec/manuscript/Braga/Braga51.htm

The Fish is Red: The Story of the Secret War Against Castro‎ -

by Warren Hinckle, William W. Turner - Political Science - 1981 - 373 pages

Page 79

As word of the impending invasion spread through the executive suites of American corporations the properties which had been expropriated by

Castro, there was cautious optimism. The president of the Francisco Sugar Company, B. Rionda Braga, told the Wall Street Journal on Febru-

ary 9, 1961 that it was "reasonable to hope that the present Cuban government will fall and American companies will be able to resume operations there."

Francisco Sugar exemplified the interlock between the business world and the netherworld of intelligence. Braga's brother, George A. Braga, a

Francisco director, sat on the board of Schroder's Limited, a British merchant bank that long had been the repository of a CIA contingency fund,

— estimated at $50 million — which was controlled by Allen Dulles.

Gerald F. Beal, the president of Schroder's New York branch, where the fund was on deposit, also was a Francisco director.

The Schroder's connection dated from 1937, when Dulles, then a member of the prestigious Sullivan & Cromwell

law firm that represented Schroder's, was named a bank director.

When Dulles joined the CIA, other Sullivan & Cromwell partners sat in his well warmed seat on the board.....

On the east side of Rochester, NY, inputting the following 1940's addresses on Google Maps, of William and John Macomber, Thomas J Devine, and Joseph and Peter Dryer,

indicate that their homes, although not located in the saem neighborhood, were not far from each other. John Macomber, Thomas Devine, and Joseph Dryer survive; they are,

along with other persons of interest, GHW Bush, John Train, and Lester Crown, all in their 80's.

I am convinced that they have much to explain related to George DeMohrenschildt and his activities in Haiti and his relationships with Oswald, and the CIA. Bush needs

to be persuded to explain his own relationship with DeMohrenschildt and his step nephew and business partner, Bush's school roommate, Edward G. Hooker. Lester Crown should

be forthcoming on his knowledge about Ernest Byfield Jr., and Patrick H. Hoy. John Macomber, the brother of the late William, a former OSS/CIA operative who, at the State Department in 1960, requested information related to the background of Oswald and his defection, was best man in Nancy Bush's and Thomas Devine's weddings, and married to Phyliss Bernau, John Foster Dulles's personal secretary. William Macomber was sent to Haiti years after 1963 to bargain for the freedom of a kidnapped US ambassador.

John Macomber has the unique disctinction of having the most contacts to the people I've mentioned. In addition to his brother, John Macomber involvement includes being the career mentor of Edward Hooker's daughter Susan's, the former Mrs. Ames Braga, second husband, Michael Ainslie, and later a co-director of Lehman Bros. when it imploded in 2008. John Macomber, along with William Draper III, was an early financial backer of the failed business ventures of George W. Bush, and Macomber and DraperIII were rewarded by GHW Bush with presidential appointments. While president of Celanese Corp., in 1973, John Macomber hired WUBRINY agent and former GHW Bush business partner, as Vice-President and controller at Celanese. John Macomber more recently partnered with Bush cousin, Jonathan Bush, in Athena Health Corp.

Celanese Corp. manufactured paper used in the production of cigarettes, and John Macomber served on the board of RJ Reynolds while lobbying for larger paper purchases by Reynolds from Celanese. Kenaf is used to make such paper, and other paper used for products of higher quality, such as for the printing of currency. Kenaf fibers produce a white paper which, unlike paper made from most other fiber sources, is white enough to eliminate the need for a chlorine bleaching process.

The Braga brothers, George and Bernardo Rionda were also in the center of this group, their first cousin, Placido Ervesun was married to Ernest Byfield's sister-in-law, (from 1955 to Vala Osterman Byfield's death in 1970.) Nina Osterman, the Bragas had a business relationship with the Peter and Joseph Dryer, as well as with their executive Michael JP Malone, who they shared with Bob Kleberg, their King Ranch partner. Malone was also, "in business" with the Dryers, who converted their Kenaf business from development of Kenaf fiber coffee and sugar bag mills, to Kenaf based cattle feed, instead.

Connections of Braga family to Hooker, Bush, and Byfield:

Geprge and Bernardo Rionda Braga's first cousin, Placido Erversun's brief marriage, in 1935, before he married Byfield Jr.'s wife, Vala's sister Nina in 1938:

....When late in his life, Bob began to think about a person outside his family to succeed him, Leroy was his first choice.

So it is in every way fitting that at this writing Leroy is rounding out a half-century King Ranch career by serving as

chairman of the board.

The second man in this group of insiders was Michael J P Malone. Jack was a many-faceted man who combined competence with charm and wit. He entered Bob's life as the right-hand man to George and Riondo Braga, principals in a private New York sugar-trading firm. The Bragas formed a partnership with King Ranch in Cuba, and Jack was the liason between them. His

contacts in Washington and New York, and in many of the world's capitals, were invaluable to a companu that was at the outset Texas provincial. He was the U.S. arm in organizing the Venezualan operation and a director of Big B Ranch, the King Ranch partnership in Florida,

JacK Was on the telephone with the boss every day, and he was a rich lode of news, reports, and Irish-type gossip. When Fidel Castro overran Cuba, in Washington and Havana Jack was as effective as anyone in the country in attempting to protect American business interests. As communist unrest spread to some of the other countries where the ranch operated, Jack kept

everyone up-to-date on the local situations, and on the risks of traveling in some Latin hotbeds to a man with as high a profile as Robert Kleberg. His contacts in the State Department and the CIA were invaluable....

...Cuba has been in the ranching business longer than any country in the Western Hemisphere.

The first cattle entering the New World from Spain were off-loaded here, they formed the

nucleus that eventually grew to the millions of head that now populate the three Americas.

Whilte these native animals admirably adapted to the Cuban subtropical climate, they had

been selected more for work in the sugarcane fields than for beef. This changed as Becerra made

these indigenous animals the building blocks to create a Santa Gertrudis herd.

An early Kleberg priority was to turn off a beef carcass that would cut a steak or roast

of the quality and tenderness that the American tourists, a principal segment in the Cuban economy,

were used to finding on their stateside tables. For this to be accomplished, a major obstacle had to

be overcome. Local packers did not pay a premium for superior carcasses; no matter the conformation

or finish, all beef was bought and sold at the same price per pound. The man who was vital to changing

this practice was the president of the joint King Ranch--Braga subsidiary, Jack Malone.

George Braga had sent Jack to Kingsville to negotiate a partnership with Bob. When the papers

were drawn and signed. Bob turned to Jack and told him he was the new president. Jack protested that he

knew nothing about cattle. But Bob cut him off, "I'll take care of the cattle--you take care of evverything else."

It was an early demonstration of Bob's ability to make perhaps not the obvious but the best choice to serve

him as emissary to foreign governments and foreign markets. While the heards were multiplying on the ranch,

Jack was busy in Havana convincing government officials and meat suppliers that there was no need to squander

U.S. dollars importing high-quality beef from the States for the hotel and supermarket trade, it could be

produced at home it the incentive, meaning the right price, were forthcoming....

.....Was Oswald saying the Rambler station wagon belonged to Ruth Forbes Paine? There is an indication, based on a new piece of the puzzle, that this is something George Wing was trying to tell us. Researcher Bruce Adamson found that Ruth Forbes Paine had married a man named Arthur Young from Philadelphia. He also found correspondence between Allen Dulles and an Arthur Nichols Young, an international economist who served as financial adviser to the Chinese Nationalist Government and represented the U.S. after WWII in missions to the Middle East and Latin America.

The connection to Wing is a reference I came upon indicating that an Arthur Young was involved with Esquire magazine in some major way. I cannot find the reference now, but the connection can still be verified through research. Adamson also sent me copies of HSCA pages concerning their staff's (Fonzi's?) interview of Palm Beach stock broker Joseph Dryer, who knew de Mohrenschildt in Haiti. Dryer remembered an association between de Mohrenschildt and William Avery Hyde, Ruth Hyde Paine's father......

In May 1978 the committee received information that a stockbroker

in Palm Beach, Fla., had known George de Mohrenschildt

in Haiti. The information came from Jack Cogswell of Palm Beach.

According to Cogswell, he ran into Joseph Dryer, whois a stockbroker

with Loeb R, Rhodes R Co. in Palm Beach and Dryer offered information

about George de Mohrenschildt.(172) Dryer told Cogswell that

when he knew de Mohrenshchildt in Haiti, de llohrenschildt's behavior

was "strange" and included following people in his car. (173)

Dryer related that de Mohrenschildt was associated with a man

named Charles who was the president of a bank in Port-au-Prince,

Haiti. (174) Dryer stated that he ivas told by Charles that a large

amount of money had been placed in de Mohrenschildt's account in

Charles' bank just before de Mohrenschildt left Haiti in 1967. (175)

(71)

Joseph Dryer was interviewed by the committee in Palm Beach

on July 6, 1978. At that time, Dryer said that in the early 1950's

he became involved in a, program sponsored by the U.S. Government

to develop a substitute for jute. (176) Dryer explained that the Government's

interest was in helping Caribbean and Latin American

countries develop their own jute producing capacity and thereby save

millions in the import of the product from other areas of the

world. (177) In connection with that program, Dryer set up a jute

subsidiary operation in Cuba, the North Atlantic Fiber Corp.(178)

Dryer said that in 1958, Francoise Duvalier, the President of Haiti,

sent an emissary to Cuba to discuss the prospects for a jute enterprise,

in Haiti ; Dryer said the emissary was Clemard Joseph Charles. (179)

Dryer said additionally that Charles was involved in the mid-1960's

in a deal with President Johnson to buy jets in Texas. According to

Dryer, the deal did not go through, but he said Charles may have had

a successful deal for the sale of gunboats. (180) Dryer said Charles

had "many connections" with the Central Intelligence Agency, and

Dryer believed the Agency may once have "planted" a secretary on

Charles. (181)....

KENAF FIBER PRAISED AS JUTE SUBSTITUTE

HAVANA, Nov. 8 (AP)

Two United States business men think that Kenaf, or Ambary, a reedy tropical plant, is well on its way to eventual replacement of jute.

J. Clarke Cassidy Jr., vice president of Product Techniques, Inc., of Hudson, Ohio, said the United States used some one-hundred sixty million pounds of

fiber annually that i might be replaced by Kenaf.

New York Times - Nov 9, 1958

Mr. Cassidy said an important consideration in evaluating Kenaf as a replacement for jute would be "our ability as an industry to maintain a relatively stable price,

structure and at the same time maintain close tolerances on product specifications....

Peter Rawleigh Dryer '48

Published in Jan. 27, 1999, issue

Peter Dryer died Sept. 16, 1998, in Rochester, N.Y. A lifelong Rochester resident, Peter joined us from Choate and graduated in 1949. He was a member of Campus and active

in the Intl. Relations Club. He was in the Marines from 1944-46.

Peter went to Cuba after Princeton in an attempt to grow kenaf, a new fiber to replace jute. While in Cuba, he made many friends, not the least of whom was Ernest

Hemingway. Fidel Castro's revolution marked the end of kenaf growing in Cuba. Peter moved his kenaf pioneering to Guatemala and Haiti only to be met by more political

unrest and revolutions. In Haiti he narrowly escaped a Ton-Ton Macoute raid. Growing kenaf proved to be impractical given the political realties.

In the mid-1960s he returned to Rochester to devote his life to helping younger people and establishing several scholarships for German exchange students. He visited

Germany frequently.

To his brothers, Tyrrell and Joseph, the class extends its deepest sympathy.

Joe was starting to grow Kenaf fiber, from which jute-like material could be woven to make bags for Cuba's sugar crop, once the Krupp machine had solved

the problem of removing worthless cortex from the usable fiber. It made sence for me to use this excuse to visit Cuba and see Papa for the first time in

.....Current owners Joseph and Nancy Dryer bought the house in 1961 after moving to Palm Beach from Cuba to escape the revolution. (Mr. Dryer, a former Marine who

lost a lung to a sniper's bullet in the Battle of Iwo Jima, met his wife in Cuba when he was working there in the 1950s.) The house's many bedrooms proved useful two years

later, when the couple helped to house 12 Cuban exiles who had been captured during the failed Bay of Pigs invasion and had just been released. The house, designated

a Palm Beach historic landmark, has wrought-iron gates and a carved Moorish-style ceiling in the living room. The house also has an interior courtyard; on one side of the

courtyard, a cloister with vaulted ceilings connects the living and dining rooms. Neighbors include telecommunications mogul John Kluge and singer Jimmy Buffett. Mr. Dryer,

who after leaving Cuba became a stockbroker and businessman, said he and his wife are downsizing.

Fashion: The Lilly

Friday, Jun. 01, 1962

She has the face and figure of a Courbet bather ("I look kinda round, not lean and lanky"), a home in Palm Beach, three handsome children, and a minor legend of a husband—Herbert ("Peter") Pulitzer Jr., 32, a grandson of the publisher, who quit the easy, moneyed life to pick and pack oranges. It would be enough for almost any girl. But to her own mild astonishment, Lilly Pulitzer, 30, finds herself hailed as a fashion designer.

Her fame rests on a single dress, unsurprisingly called "the Lilly." Originally, she designed it as a uniform for herself to wear while selling fruits and juices in her husband's Pulitzer Groves Fruit Shop.

But customers liked it, literally tried to buy the dress off her back. Lilly hired 18 seamstresses, and the store soon became a chaos of ladies sipping orange juice between fittings....

A Family Affair

The ranch has endured because one family willed it to endure.

October 1980

......The children and their descendants all played important roles in the history of the ranch. From left to right in the picture, the Kleberg children are:

,,,,,Henrietta, who in 1915 moved to New York with her first husband, later an executive with Celanese. When he died she married her neighbor Tom Armstrong and returned to the ranch. From 1955 to 1968 she was the chairman of the board. Her daughters, Ida Louise (“Illa”) and Henrietta (“Etta”), married two of the men who run the ranch today, Jim Clement and John Armstrong (Tom Armstrong’s nephew), now in their sixties.

Robert Justus, Jr., took over effective control of the ranch at 22 during World War I, when his father suffered a stroke and his older brother, Richard, was with the Army. For the next 56 years he ran the ranch. Using the oil wealth he had secured, Bob expanded the ranch to millions of acres around the world. His daughter, Helenita, has her own ranch in Virginia but still participates in the King Ranch’s management.

Richard, the oldest child, was a man of natural ability and grace, the favorite of his mother. He served in Congress, but on the ranch he deferred throughout his life to his younger brother, Bob. Richard’s son, Richard “Dick” Kleberg, Jr., became Bob’s key assistant and, shortly before his own death, threw his support to Jim Clement as Bob’s successor. ....

In 1945, Bob Kleberg, described in my last post as a business partner of brothers George A. and B. Rionda Braga, (who were first cousins/business partners of Placido A. Ervesun, who was the spouse of Ernie Byfield Jr.'s sister-in-law, Nina) and shared Braga executive, Michael "Jack" JP Malone, a partner in the kenaf business of Joseph and Peter Dryer.....Bob Kleberg lost his nephwe, John A. Larkin 2d, son of Bob's sister, Henrietta and her husband, John Adrian Larkin.

John A. Larkin 2d, two years older than Exeter Academy schoolmates, Edward Gordon Hooker and GHW Bush, is reported below, attending a dance also attended by Hooker.

That 1941 dance was also attended by Jackie Kennedy's cousin, Bouvier Beale

Three years later, Bob's sister, Henrietta, suddenly loses her husband, who was a founder and Vice Chairman of Celanese, where he was succeeded, years later, by John D. Macomber, who then hired Thomas J. Devine as a Celanese V.P.

I have seen no other record related to Devine's university attendance. I find no information as to whether he graduated from M.I.T., or that he made later donations as an alumni. It seems as if he does not want his activities

of the late 1940's or of his education to be public knowledge.

Please read this post with an inclination as to what you can do to help end the 21 years old absurdity of GHW Bush claiming that in November, 1963, the FBI briefed, and then made a record of the communication to a G-5 level, CIA photo interpreter, as to the progress of the FBI investigation of the assassination of JFK.

When Dulles joined the CIA, other Sullivan & Cromwell partners sat in his well warmed seat on the board.....

obtain more background information and an (Illegible) (deleted).....

Bob Kleberg and the King Ranch: A Worldwide Sea of Grass‎ - Page 76

by John Cypher - Biography & Autobiography - 1996 - 267 pages

...Cuba has been in the ranching business longer than any country in the Western Hemisphere.

Joseph Dryer was interviewed by the committee in Palm Beach

he became involved in a, program sponsored by the U.S. Government

to develop a substitute for jute.

Kenaf, a fiber from the of a fast.growing plant resembling a hollyhock, not only is a substitute for jute, but in some] reportedly is even' a better product

To his brothers, Tyrrell and Joseph, the class extends its deepest sympathy.

...One of the projects in which I had become involved was a foundation started by a clever fellow Dartmouth alumnus who had me working for the group

with high hopes and no remuneration. It looked at some point as if there might be some advantage in bringing the foundation to the attention of my

friend. Joe Dryer, whose North Atlantic Kenaf Corporation was starting to get off the ground in Cuba with a special decorticator developed for the by Krupp.

Joe was starting to grow Kenaf fiber, from which jute-like material could be woven to make bags for Cuba's sugar crop, once the Krupp machine had solved

the problem of removing worthless cortex from the usable fiber. It made sence for me to use this excuse to visit Cuba and see Papa for the first time in

two years. I had the promise of a paying job with George Patten, an independent investment broker....

When I got to Havana, preceded by a cablegram, it was some time in March, 1955.... I couldn't get around to the object of my visit right away and shied

away from it for several days, during which I made contact with Joe Dryer and his brother, Peter, who was sharing digs with him in an apartment near the

Malecon on the edge of old Havan. Their project sounded interesting, but there was no place for in it for me, and the idea having to do with the foundation

turned out not to have been appropriate. It had really just been an excuse to come down anyway. Papa had recently been awarded the Nobel Prize, an he complained

oftern about the greatly increased loss of privacy it entailed.....

Historic Palm Beach Mansion

That Housed Cuban Exiles by Ben Casselman

From The Wall Street Journal Online

October 20, 2006

.....Current owners Joseph and Nancy Dryer bought the house in 1961 after moving to Palm Beach from Cuba to escape the revolution.

James Holland McCombs (August 5, 1901-June 29, 1991) was an American journalist. ... In 1957, he collaborated on the book King Ranch with Tom Lea III.

And from a post on another thread with information related to Cogswell, a name associated on this thread with Joseph F. Dryer and DeMohrenschildt, there is this.:

....On other threads, I've posted recent related curiousities I've stumbled upon.

De Mohrenschildt rented a room in Washington, DC in May, 1942, from a US Navy officer named Paul Joachim who was the stepson of the designer of the Underwood Code Machine, aka, the kata-kana typewriter. Joachim retired from the navy in 1954 at the rank of rear admiral, pursued his life long passion for art, and was killed in Chicago in 1962 in a still unsolved murder by multiple gunshots.

Another naval officer was living at Joachim's house in May, 1942. His name was Harry Hull, he was a WWII submarine commander, retired from the navy with the rank of rear admiral, and was married from 1939 until his death, to a first cousin of James Kelsey Cogswell, III. Hull's mother was widowed in 1920 and married again in 1925 to a man whose brother became a four star US Navy admiral.

In 1953, James Kelsey Cogswell, III married the first cousin of Bush's best friend, Will Farish III. At his wedding ceremony with Joan Farish, Cogswell's best man was WWII US Navy, PT boat Squadron 7 radar officer and silver star medalist, George Olin Walbridge, 2d.

Walbridge served in Squadron 7 in New Guineau during WWII with PT-129 navy officer and fellow silver star medalist, Francis H. McAdoo, Jr., Lt. (jg) USNR.

McAdoo was the nephew of Ferdinand De Mohrenschildt's widow, Nona McAdoo, the sister of Francis H. McAdoo, Jr's father....

It's my understanding that Ruth Paine talks to people. An interesting thread might be a list of questions for her, specific questions. This would involve preparing carefully for expected answers and being ready to have follow-up questions. You'd want to record it for PSE analysis, etc. I nominate William Kelly as the right guy to come up with the questioning and then see who'd be best to contact her and ask the questions.

As I posted more than once, above, the first wife of Rionda Braga's first cousin and business partner, Placido Ervesun, was Helen Katherine Parish. Ervesun's second wife, Nina Osterman, was the sister-in-law of Ernest Byfield, Jr., boss of the later Henry Crown, mobbed up crony, Patrick Hoy. Byfield's mother leased her Middleburg, VA estate as the JFK weekend white house, and his widowed second wife, Countess Diana Masiere, married the suddenly talkative Robert S. Mcnamara in 2004, and Mcnamara then fell silent.

In 1943, Byfield was best man in William HG Fitzgerald's wedding to Annilese Petschek of the lignite coal assets family of Germany and Prague.

Fitzgerald became senior U.S. member of SMOM. SMOM was closely affiliated with Bush roommate Macauley, founder of Americare, and his business associates and SMOM WR Grace and John Dempsey of Greif Corp.

Fitzgerald's son married a Rockefeller-Stone, daughter of Allen Quasha associate and Harken bailout guy, Robert G Stone, Jr. Stone founded Stonetex in 1950 and appointed Thomas J. Devine to Stonetex's board.

Stone's brother David was custodian of CIA student "movement" funds and Met. Museum of Art Chairman Houghton was implicated in that CIA funded operation.

Ervesun's first wife's father.:

If Farish of Standard Oil and his associates are traitors to America--as Senator Truman charges--why are they not in the penitentiary as the worst type of criminals, with a death sentence facing them, instead of being let off With a slap on the wrist--a $30,000 fine?

....''They were born to enormous privilege and they had a good time,'' Ms. O'Farrell said of her parents' prominence in the social scene of the 1940s, '50s and '60s in Newport, Manhattan, and Palm Beach and Hobe Sound, Fla. ''This was in the days when you got into the newspaper for being at a party. At the time, it was a perfectly acceptable career pattern.''

The Duke and Duchess of Windsor were frequent guests at the Drexels' homes. In 1965, the guest list for their 25th wedding anniversary included notable names like Aldrich, Astor, Auchincloss and Rockefeller....

In 1953, the later CIA contract agent, James "Jake" Kelsey Cogswell, III married the first cousin of GWH Bush's best friend, William S. Farish III.

Cogswell's best man was George O. Walbridge, 2d. Walbridge was a WWII Navy buddy of George DeMohrenschildt's uncle Ferdinand's nephew. Walbridge spent his entire career employed by the McAdoo nephew's Emerson Drug, Co., and in 1955, Lem Billings was Walbridge's direct supervisor when Walbridge was appointed Emerson's Bromo-Seltzer marketing manager in Havana.

Tom Devine's father-in-law Samuel Wynn Mills had Farish III's father as an usher in his 1937 wedding.

Consider that the following people associated in this post were acquainted with, affiliated with, and or related to George DeMohrenschildt.:

Edward Gordon Hooker

George HW Bush

Thomas J Devine

George O. Walbridge, 2d

Ernest Byfield was at one time or another, the son of JFK's landlady, brother-in-law of Placido Ervesun, boss of Patrick Hoy, and spouse of the future spouse of Robert S. Mcnamara, and Byfield was in daily in-person contact with Irv Kupcinet from the 40's until 1960.

William B. Macomber, Jr. was OSS in France and Burma, CIA, best man in the weddings of Nancy Bush/Alexander Ellis, best man in the wedding of Thomas J. Devine, married to the personal secretary of John Foster Dulles, president of the Met. Museum of Art, brother of John D. Macomber, who was protege of Susan Hooker's 2nd Husband, spouse of granddaughter of Junius Morgan, president of Celanese Corp, and boss of Thomas J. Devine, and an investor in G. W. Bush's Spectrum 3.

Here are 3 more folks who critically need to be interviewed:

Another old man who needs to speak is Bobby Baker who was the very close associate to Lyndon Johnson. The Kennedys were in the process of wrapping the Bobby Baker scandal around the neck of Lyndon Johnson. Baker is the same guy who told Don Reynold on Inauguration Day 1961 that Kennedy would not live out his term and would die a violent death. I think Baker was implying the LBJ was going to have John Kennedy murdered.

Another very critical person who needs to talk is Mary Margaret Valenti (nee Wiley) who was one of LBJ's secretaries and very close mistress. Mary Margaret Wiley was at the 1960 Democratic convention while LBJ and Sam Rayburn were blackmailing/threatening/strongarming John Kennedy to put LBJ on the ticket as Vice President.

I do think it is very likely that Courtenay Lynda Valenti, daughter of Mary Margaret, is the actual biological daughter of Lyndon Johnson. She was named after LBJ who called her "Lynda" and doted on her in the White House. Courtenay Lynda Valenti was born 3 weeks before the JFK assassination.

Another person who needs to be talked to/interview is Trenton Parker who told author Rodney Stich a lot of things about the JFK assassination. Trenton Parker lives in Colorado, north of Denver an hour or so.

CIA Pegaus agent Trenton Parker told Rodney Stich in 1993 that FBI Hoover’s office had been taped and identified at least 5 conspirators: Lyndon Johnson, J. Edgar Hoover, Allen Dulles, Nelson Rockefeller,

& George Herbert Walker Bush

From Defrauding America, Rodney Stich, 3rd edition 1998 p. 638-639]:

“The Role of deep-cover CIA officer, Trenton Parker, has been described in earlier pages, and his function in the CIA's counter-intelligence unit, Pegasus. Parker had stated to me earlier that a CIA faction was responsible for the murder of JFK … During an August 21, 1993, conversation, in response to my questions, Parker said that his Pegasus group had tape recordings of plans to assassinate Kennedy. I asked him, "What group were these tapes identifying?" Parker replied: "Rockefeller, Allen Dulles, Johnson of Texas, George Bush, and J. Edgar Hoover." I asked, "What was the nature of the conversation on these tapes?"

I don't have the tapes now, because all the tape recordings were turned over to [Congressman] Larry McDonald. But I listened to the tape recordings and there were conversations between Rockefeller, [J. Edgar] Hoover, where [Nelson] Rockefeller asks, "Are we going to have any problems?" And he said, "No, we aren't going to have any problems. I checked with Dulles. If they do their job we'll do our job." There are a whole bunch of tapes, because Hoover didn't realize that his phone has been tapped. Defrauding America, Rodney Stich, 3rd edition p. 638-639]

The last I heard she was in a nursing home and her state of mind (dementia) in question.

I don't know about her dementia, but she did live in St.Petersburg, FL in recent years. I believe she gave a lot of disinf to Patricia McMillan, who wrote more disinfo about Lee Harvey Oswald, "Marina and Lee."

Tom,

Yours is a thoughful post and there are many more reasons than just the time you took to write it and the sincere nature of what you wrote, persuading me to reply in a way your post deserves.

I am not doing that in this post, though. I will make it a point to reply to you soon.

This is the last post in a short thread, and if you read them all, I think what happened in that thread makes my point. I see something similar happening in this thread. It seems a shame that it happens in both threads.:

Back on 10 January of this year, in the first message of this thread, I wrote:

I'm seeking several NARA documents cited in A.J. Weberman's Nodule 10 that he only partially quotes and that are listed as:

NARA 1993.07.29.17:17:58:710028

NARA 1993.08.05.14:10:03:090007

NARA 1993.07.3111:53:12:340047

NARA 1993.07.31.11:51:57:280047

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm renewing this request for help in locating these documents. I'm in a state of  when it comes to locating NARA documents by any such numbering scheme through the use of the internet. Does anyone know if it's even possible? If not, can anyone tell me how I go about finding these documents through any means at all?

All that failing, does anyone know how to contact Weberman?

As in January, any help would be appreciated, and now even would be greatly appreciated. (No, I do not and will not tap dance.)

Ashton

I've posted before that I am late to an proactive interest in the murders of President Kennedy and Oswald.

The stepping stones that led to requesting membership on this forum from John began during the 2008 presidential campaign. I read about the association between Obama and a billionaire named Lester Crown. I had never heard of him or of his father, Henry. I soon found that Henry had once owned the Empire State Building. Then I found out about General Dynamics, Patrick Hoy, and his former boss, Ernest Byfield. This led me to Byfield's mother, owner of Glen Ora, and when I looked at the Crowns even more closely, I found that Lester was married to the sister of G. David Schine for 58 years.

I found that the Crown's personal attorney was Albert Jenner, and that Byfield had been OSS, that he was the best man in the wedding of the Senior Knight of Malta in the U.S., and that his first wife was the sister of the wife of Placido Ervesun, first cousin and business partner of B. Rionda Braga. I found that Byfield became a widower in 1970 and soon remarried, and that after he died nearly thirty years later, his second wife married Robert S. McNamara.

I found that B. Rionda Braga's son married DeMohrenschildt's step-nephew and business partner, Ed Hooker's daughter, and that GHW Bush walked that daughter down the wedding aisle.

I found that Braga shared an executive of his Cuban sugar business with Richard Kleberg of King Ranch, and that the executive, Michael JP Malone, had a CIA cryptonym. I found that Malone was involved in a Kenaf business development venture with Joseph F. Dryer. Dryer had a Cuban wife, had boarded just released Bay of Pigs invasion force prisoners in his West Palm beach mansion, also knew DeMohrenschildt, and that he knew James Kelsey Cogswell, III.

Lester Crown is a good and virtuous man. In the days when i knew him well, I valued his friendshp highly. i still have a very high opinion of him and his family, even if his German Shepherd did bite me once. Nevertheless i think that he is mistaken about the need for a US war with Iran and I suspect that he has had some effect in causing the US to sponsor an all but hopeless negotiation between Natanyahu and Abbas.

I wish him and his well. pl

New York Times - Dec 7, 1986

THE ORDEAL OF LESTER CROWN

6260181898_78864b10fc_b.jpg

Ahhh, yes!!! How could the Pentagon know about Lester Crown's suitability for a top secret security clearance, before, as the NY Times "reported", the proceedings of the 1972 Grand Jury were released in the 1980's? The answer is that a top secret security clearance of Lester Crown with any integrity would have uncovered what was public knowledge in Illinois by December, 1976.:

http://www.lib.niu.edu/1976/ii761206.html

BY MIKE LAWRENCE Springfield correspondent for the Quad-City Times, he represented the Times in his coverage of the cement bribery trial. He is a graduate of Knox College, Galesburg.

"Corruption in the legislature Cement Bribery Trial

6/ December 1976/ Illinois Issues

The prosecution charged legislators had taken bribes to increase the weight limit of ready-mix cement trucks. The defense said the real culprits got immunity

...Courtroom lineup....

...Government witnesses

Former Sen. Donald D. Carpentier(R., East Moline), conspirator who became a government informer and pleaded guilty; 3-year sentence, $5,000 fine.

Lester Crown, Chicago, millionaire president of Material Service Corp. who was granted immunity but is an admitted briber. Rep. Bernard E. Epton (R., Chicago), who said Rep. Capuzi told him he had received $200 from legislator Pete Pappas. ...."

If I was making the decision whether or not to title and present the OP of this post now with the benefit of two more years of hindsight, I probably would take a much different approach. What I did not know then was that there is little or no interest in research related to a few people with Rochester ties and a curiously large number of direct or one person removed contact with the 1962 best friend of the man who the government claimed acted alone in assassinating President Kennedy, and in the ties that bind these few people with people in Chicago (through the Braga - Ervesun mutual ties) easily able to access Jack Ruby through Irv Kupcinet and the Colitz brothers, and also through George Senator of Gloversville, NY, home of the Schines. Too many Knights of Malta to be coincidental?

I also didn't know two years ago that Tom Devine was a director of Robert G. Stone, Jr.'s Stonetex, or that Stone was linked to the Quashas and investment in Harken Energy, or that Stone's brother David was involved in the CIA financing of the "student" organizations outed in the mid 60's. I didn't know that Robert G. Stone, Jr. was married to a Rockefeller and that their daughter had married the son of the senior U.S. Knight of Malta, a former Anapolis grad. who had selected Ernest Byfield as his best man.

If you have not read my post about Paul Warburg, his stepson Louis D'Almeida, and John L Loeb, Sr. and Jr., I suggest you read it before reading any further.

In the first post on this thread I cited an HSCA record showing that Joseph F. Dryer was a Loeb Rhoades broker at the time he gave info about DeMohrenschildt to the HSCA.

In 1943, Ernest Byfield, Jr. was best man in the wedding of William HG Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald became senior U.S. member of SMOM and was a senior partner at Hornblower Weeks when it merged with John L. Loeb's firm in 1977.

In 1953, Loeb's daughter, Ann Margaret married Edgar Bronfman.

In 1955, Albert Bradley Carter, Jr. of CIA married. His best man was W. Palmer Dixon, son a Loeb senior partner and later, himself a Loeb senior partner. Some of the wedding ushers were Alexander Aldrich, Curtis EU Bohlen, Thomas J. Devine and Henry Brunie's of Empire Trust stepson, Charles Hubbard. W. Palmer Dixon's brother, Peter T. Dixon, was married in 1959 and John L. Loeb, Jr. was an usher in his wedding. Peter retired as a senior Loeb partner.

British Aid Figured in Roosevelt Election

Published: September 17, 1990

To the Editor:

''U.S. and Britain 'Mixed Up Together' for 50 Years'' by Sir Philip Goodhart (Op-Ed, Sept. 2) marks the 50th anniversary of World War II lend-lease by recounting the destroyer-for-bases exchange that took place Sept. 2, 1940.

Sir Philip's book ''Fifty Ships That Saved the World'' was published in 1965 and stands as an excellent and highly readable account.

To Sir Philip's story, a significant ingredient, United States politics, should be added. Francis P. Miller's ''Man From the Valley,'' a memoir published in 1971, tells of a Century Group (of which my father, Whitney H. Shepardson, was a member) that had its inception on June 10, 1940, when the group publicly asked for a declaration of war by the United States upon Nazi Germany.

The group then met regularly and focused its efforts on the destroyer-for-bases proposal. It arranged for the Aug. 11, 1940, Acheson-Burlingham-Rublee-Thacher letter to the editor of The New York Times referred to by Sir Philip. The group, Republicans and Democrats, grew to a total of some 50 people; it promoted radio broadcasts by prominent Americans and newspaper editorials throughout the country, all in support of the destroyers-for-bases exchange.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt was then running for election for an unprecedented third term. Roosevelt wanted the exchange and was encouraged by unanimous Cabinet support, by extensive favorable legal advice - and by opinion polls that showed 70 percent of the electorate in favor of aid to Britain.

However, Roosevelt, politician first and foremost, was not going to trade the destroyers for bases unless he had a firm commitment from his Republican opponent, Wendell Willkie, that Willkie would not attack the exchange. This commitment was obtained on Friday evening, Aug. 30, 1940, from the Willkie campaign by the Century Group.

The White House was told of the Willkie promise late that Friday night. The weekend intervened. Mon-day, Sept. 2, the exchange was signed and Roosevelt made the announce-ment.

Was John W. Shepardson describing a hawkish, break away organization, or was he confused in his facts?

....Macomber just happens to end up as assistant to John Foster Dulles and in 1963, married to one of Dulles's three personal secretaries, Bernau. Macomber just happens to be invited by Pres Bush to witness JFK's taking the oath as U.S. senator.

After Susan Hooker divorced Ames Braga, John Macomber hooked her up with his McKinsey and Co. protege, Michael Ainslie. Ainslie at age 36 with no relevant experience except for a brief stint working in John Lindsay's mayor's office, ends up being hired by Carlisle Humelsone as president of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Are you familiar with Carlisle Humelsine's background? Rockefeller foundation moved Humelsine out of State Dept. and over to Williamsburg like a chess piece is moved.

Ernie Byfield was a Jew, and William HG Fitzgerald, founding Catholic head of SMOM in the U.S., tapped him as his best man in his 1943 wedding to Annilise Petschek. The only common links I can find for this odd relationship is that Byfield was a brief tennis sensation for UNC Chapel Hill in 1936 and both men were members of the DC branch of the University Club and Byfield was OSS....

Franklin Delano Roosevelt

A Man of the Century

an address by William J. vanden Heuvel

to the Monthly Meeting of The Century Association

April 4, 2002

Chester Alan Arthur was the first member of the Century Association to become President of the United States....

...Altogether, eight Centurions have been President of our country. Chester Alan Arthur was the first, Grover Cleveland the second, and Dwight D. Eisenhower the last. In between, the greatest political leaders of the 20th century gave stature to our Association – Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover – and my subject for the evening, who probably is, as most historians describe him, the greatest President of the century but who is certainly and truly a man of the Century, Franklin Delano Roosevelt....

....There was an exhibit of Italian paintings of the Renaissance, including works by Piero della Francesco, Botticelli and Bartolommeo in March 1935. There are notices of memorable names being elected to membership such as Tom Finletter in 1934, George Wharton Pepper in 1936, as well as Archibald MacLeish, Lord Lothian (later British Ambassador to the United States) and Lewis Douglas (later Harry Truman’s Ambassador to Great Britain). The Club celebrated the 75th birthday anniversary of Dr. Walter Damrosch in 1937 and in that same year had a memorial service for Elihu Root who had been a member for 51 years and president of the Century for nine of those years. Nelson Rockefeller was elected in May 1937. Also in that year Dean Acheson, Alan Dulles and Arthur Hays Sulzberger were made members – Mr. Sulzberger having been nominated by Admiral Richard Byrd and seconded by the sitting Chief Justice of the United States, Charles Evans Hughes....

As World War II approached, the Century Association reflected the profound division between those who believed that America’s national security and its values as a nation required it to support the democracies in the battle against the totalitarian forces besieging the world and those who were part of the America First movement who devoutly believed that involvement in European wars could only endanger democracy in America itself.

As the Nazi conquest of France in June 1940 shook the world, FDR decided to run for a third term. Now his opponent was another Centurion, Wendell Willkie. In 1912, three Centurions ran against each other for the presidency (Theodore Roosevelt, Taft, Wilson), and in 1932 FDR had run against Centurion Herbert Hoover. Political balances were shattered when still another Centurion, Henry Stimson, Secretary of State under Herbert Hoover, accepted FDR’s offer to be Secretary of War. But partisan politics were set aside as Centurions with strong beliefs about our international obligations determined how best to influence the course of action being determined by their non-resident colleague and present Commander-in-Chief. A memorandum by Bethuel Webster is in our archives detailing luncheon meetings at the Century beginning in May 1940 which resulted in the organization of the Office of Scientific Research and Development led by Centurions Vannevar Bush and James Conant, then president of Harvard University. Centurion Robert Sherwood has written of frequent meetings at the Century in the summer of 1940 with a group that became known as the Fight For Freedom Committee which advocated interventionist policies. The Committee to Defend America by aiding the Allies had a strong Centurion identification, beginning with its chairman, William Allen White, a non-resident member who was editor of the Emporia Gazette of Kansas. Our beloved colleague, Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., has described these momentous days in a cogent, eloquent address now in the Century archives.

Francis Pickens Miller, a noted Virginian and Centurion, writes in his memoir∗

that his association with the Century Group in 1940 gave him a chance to do what was

probably the most useful work that he had ever done, in addition to having made possible the most satisfying experience in his life. He describes the events of that fateful summer and what it meant to be an American and have some part in turning the tide against tyranny. Mr. Miller’s role along with Lewis Douglas, Herbert Agar, Dr. Henry Sloane Coffin, Whitney Shepardson, and Henry van Dusen and others was to affect the political climate that enabled President Roosevelt to carry out the desperately needed transaction which gave the British fifty over-aged destroyers in return for long-term leases on military bases in the western hemisphere. Some of these Centurions were for their colleague Wendell Willkie. Some were for FDR. But they were all deeply conscious of the fact that there were national and international interests that transcended the partisan interests of the day. FDR was, of course, a consummate political leader. In one situation, a group came to him urging specific actions in support of a cause in which they deeply believed. He replied: I agree with you, I want to do it, now make me do it. He understood that a President does not rule by fiat and unilateral commands to a nation. He must build the political support that makes his decisions acceptable to our countrymen. He read the public opinion polls not to define who he was but to determine where the country was – and then to strategize how he could move the country to the objectives he thought had to be carried out. The summer of 1940 was a presidential campaign. The President needed the support of Republicans and Democrats before he could carry out the destroyer transaction. He needed also to be assured that Wendell Willkie would not use it as a political issue against him. The Century Group decided that the most effective spokesman for their point of view would be General John J. Pershing, the revered commander of the American Expeditionary Forces in Europe in World War I. Reaching the aged General and then convincing him to make a radio address to the nation was a challenge with hair-raising episodes and frequently bizarre circumstances. But the Centurions succeeded and on August 4, 1940 General Pershing made a national broadcast (written by another Centurion, Walter Lippman) supporting the destroyer transfer to Great Britain. That speech was regarded as a turning point in the effort to create the public support for the President. It was followed by radio broadcasts from other members of the Century Group which included Admiral Standley, Colonel “Wild” Bill Donovan, and Robert Sherwood.
