  1. I believe the Paines were the CIA handlers for the Oswalds (notice the plurals). I think both Michael and Ruth were making reports about Lee and Marina's should we say progress. Lee especially was being led down a path for some type of special ops from the moment he got into the Marines. That special ops was finally determined sometime in late October or early November of 63. The Paines were involved but I don't think they really knew that the ultimate and final outcome would be the assassination of the President. I think Ruth was more involved than Michael because she had more contact and was better able to report on the actions of both Marina and Lee. Remember at the time of the assassination Michael and Ruth were separated, as were the Oswalds. I don't remember reading anything about Michael coming to visit Ruth, But it is mentioned everywhere that Lee was coming to visit Marina and the children. Mike
  2. I don't believe it is weird for a group of people to ask the basic questions in life. (Who, What,When, Where, How, and the big one Why) I am what I call a "Why Guy". I want to know "why" about everything. Sometimes I drive my wife nuts with my search for "Why". Not just about this subject but about everything. I hate the excuse " I don't know", because I believe that for every act there is a reason Why. It's just that sometimes people don't want to give you the reason why they did something or didn't do it. When my kids were growing up I never accepted the reason "I don't know", because if they did something wrong and I questioned them about it, I figured they were the only ones that knew "Why" they had done it. So if that is weird----- so be it. Mike
  3. Paul said "Hi Jim, Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was the exploration of his possible connection to the governement was done by the Warren Commission and referred to in the Warren Report. They concluded he was not on the payroll and not an agent of the US governement. Paul" Paul, you should maybe read testimony of a Cia Payroll clerk whose name is Wilcott. I believe he explains how Oswald actually was on the payroll. Mike
  4. My wife and I had a discussion about this a couple of months ago. I started to relate to her about some of the things that have happened to other people, and she already knew about the assassination witness death wish. She was all worried about how often I come to this site and to Lancer and how much I read on this subject. It took me quite a while to ease her mind. I have the same outlook on this that Nic does. I'm just reading and posting a few of my ideas that only the people on this site see, I'm not trying to publish a book or go on TV to spread the word about what we as a group think happened on 11-22-63. So I don't think the powers that be would be interested in a minor player like myself. They want the heavy hitters. The ones that file FOIA lawsuits and publish books and talk about this on radio and TV..... But I still watch my back.
  5. I don't think of myself as paranoid, but I do tend to watch people and not be as trusting as the next person. I don't think it is from researching the assassination, I think it is more because of the times we live in. There is a lot more danger out there on the street than there used to be. We don't allow our children to do some of the things we did as kids because it is just too dangerous. Also with me it might be because I've worked in Law Enforcement for 11 years. I don't know I just don't trust every thing that a person may say or do. Mike
  6. I intend to produce a online seminar on the JFK myth and the assassination. However, this passage from a posting on the assassination and organized crime should give you an idea of where I am coming from: One of the main arguments made for Mafia involvement in the assassination concerns the claim that Sam Giancana and his crime syndicate in Chicago helped JFK win Illinois. Therefore, JFK was killed because he did not deliver the things he promised Giancana. Does the evidence support this claim? It is true that organized crime has been involved in trying to influence presidential elections since the early 1900s. They were particularly involved in trying to shape the result in Chicago. However, it is difficult to know just how successful they were in this. What was important is that politicians believed they had considerable influence. In fact, there is evidence that mobsters in Chicago told both candidates they were working for them. In this way they could go to the winning candidate and argue that they had helped them “steal the election”. For example, the FBI have tapes of mobsters from Chicago saying they were working for both JFK and Nixon in 1960. The evidence suggests that it was Richard Daley who won Chicago for JFK. He probably used mobsters to help him with this. However, JFK and his representatives dealt with Daley, not mobsters. It has been suggested that it was Joe Kennedy who went to organized crime for help in the election. I severely doubt this. Joe was an experienced political operator. He knew that the FBI were monitoring organized crime figures. They might well have been monitoring his actions as well. He would have been crazy to have got involved in this kind of activity. It is of course true that JFK did rely on buying votes to win the election. This is what happens in American politics. This is why I do not believe the US is a fully functioning democracy. JFK also bought the nomination. The most important example of this concerns West Virginia. JFK was determined to put Hubert Humphrey out of the race. Polls suggested that Humphrey could win West Virginia. JFK decided to spend around $2m in bribes and other payoffs during the primary. Journalists working for Wall Street Journal obtained a great deal of evidence what was going on. They also discovered where this money was coming from. This was a group described by the journalists as the Irish Mafia. They were a group of businessmen linked to JFK who wanted federal contracts or political jobs in return. However, the editor of the Wall Street Journal refused to publish the story. Not because he was in the pay of JFK but because he was part of the media conspiracy to hide political corruption in the United States. As the editor would have pointed out, all leading politicians in America were surrounded by businessmen involved in buying political favours. Humphrey was no different and the journalists had to admit that they had also discovered that he was buying votes in West Virginia. The problem was not that mobsters were buying political favours. The problem was that the pillars of the community were doing it. It was an integral part of the political system. The finger was only pointed at the Mafia when it suited political leaders to do so. If we go on to the actual presidential election itself, it is not true that the vote in Illinois won JFK the election. Nor was it the only state charged with vote fraud. The following states were investigated after the 1960 election: Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Missouri, New Mexico, Nevada, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Evidence of fraud in these states was sent to the Attorney General (Robert Kennedy). The votes in Texas, Michigan, New Jersey and Missouri gave particular concern as they all resulted in narrow victories for Kennedy. Understandably, RFK refused to take action against this fraud. The narrowness of the electoral college victory is misleading. The Illinois vote gave JFK a 27 electoral vote lead over Nixon. However, there were also a 26 unpledged Democratic electors in Mississippi, Georgia and Alabama. They were still in negotiations with JFK about his civil rights policy. He had already given them promises when he was attempting to be the Democratic candidate at the beginning of the campaign. No doubt he would have been willing to have given it in writing if he needed to. JFK had already shown he was willing to do deals with racists. We must not believe the myth that JFK (or RFK for that matter) was a politician who believed in racial equality. As I have already pointed out , JFK did not upset organized crime by persecuting them once he gained office. This is of course another myth. This took place in the 1970s, not the 1960s. People like Giancana were indeed upset with JFK in 1963. However, he was upset as a businessman, not as a gangster. JFK had not got him back his business interests in Cuba. It was not only the gangsters who was upset about this. William Pawley and Earl Smith are just two of those businessmen who had lost a lot of money because of the actions of Castro. One of the major problems that arises from the investigation of the assassination is the belief that JFK was different from other American politicians. He was indeed no more honest or corrupt than all the others who sought to become president. However, because he was assassinated, the media has constructed a mythical figure. This is especially loved by Democratic voters and explains the reasons why some people become interested in the events surrounding the assassination. It is of course possible that JFK became a changed man after the Cuban Missile Crisis. This in itself could explain why he needed to be assassinated. However, before 1962, he was your regular corrupt politician. Another aspect of this myth concerns JFK’s relationship with the CIA. This is an important topic and will therefore start a new thread where these issues can be discussed in detail. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> John, This is exactly what I have said for many years. Everybody says Richard Nixon was a very corupt President and I agree, but the difference between Nixon and just about anyone else that has obtained the office of the Presidency is that Richard Nixon got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Nixon wasn't the first and he definately has and will not be the last to use a tape recorder in the oval office. He also wasn't the first or the last one to use dirty tricks to obtain the Presidency, or to gain wealth.
  7. Great Thread !!!! I believe that the motorcade route was chosen after everybody involve in the conspiracy knew where the "patsy" was going to be. Once that was known then all the other plans such as the elimination of the "patsy" and the cover story could have the final touches developed. In the "where do we go from here thread" where it is discussed who needs to be interviewed, I believe one of the most important persons that needs to be interviewed is Agent Hosty. That man knows a lot more than he is letting on. He needs to be asked what he talked to Marina about and what was in the note that Oswald supposedly left for him at the FBI office in Dallas. To me Agent Hosty has always kind of been talking out of the side of his mouth. I also believe he had something to do with the planning of the motorcade route. Mike
  8. I started reading everything I could get my hands on in 1966 when I was nine years old. I don't have as much time now as I used to.( dang 12 hour shifts lol) So I've cut back on my reading. I started by reading the WR and noticed that there were inconsistancies in what they were saying happened to the President. Mike

  11. Back in my grade school days, I used to sing the National Anthem before every home basketball game. Now you have to understand, I can sing but I can't read music and at that time I had no idea how to count beats per measure. Anyway for weeks the band instructor and I had been using the count of 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, Oh, say can you see. Well I had been watching the band instructors foot as she tapped it on the floor for weeks so that the band and I would start off at the same time. So here I am standing on stage in front of a packed gym with a PA mic and a mic for the local radio station. I watch the foot and it starts tapping 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, I start singing OH then I notice the foot and don't here the band. SHE CHANGED THE COUNT ON ME WITHOUT TELLING ME to 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, so I was just a little early with the singing. I didn't show my face in the gym for the entire game
  12. Hi all, A little Japanese kid (about 5th grade) is transfered from one school to another. On his first day in his new class the teacher says, "Today we are going to have an oral test, I'll ask a question and if you know the answer raise your hand." So the teacher asked " Who said give me liberty or give me death and what year did the person say it?" The little Japanese kid looked around the class and saw that no one had raise their hand so he raised his hand. The teacher called on him, and he said, " Patrick Henry 1775." The teacher said " That correct very good." Well a big bully in the back of the room got kinda mad that this Japanese kid knew more about American history than he did, so he said "***-damn Japs" The teacher heard him and immediately ask " who said that." The little Japanese kid said-- ----- ------ ------ ------ ----- ----- General Macarthur 1945 Mike

  14. It was my understanding that Dave Powers (Political Advisor) to JFK was filming from the Secret Service car immediatly behind JFK's car, but that by the time they got to Dealey Plaza he had run out of film. There are bit and pieces of Powers film that have been shown on different documentaries.... But it was also my understanding that Powers did not normally ride in the Secret Service Car, but was usually found riding in one of the VIP buses that also accompanied the President. The VIP buses carried people like any White House staff that came along, including but not limited to advisors, speech writers. secretaries, and state political chairmen and their staff. The buses were usually located towards the back of the motorcade, behind the press buses. If I'm am wrong in these line-ups anyone who has better info please correct me. Thanks Mike
  15. Outstanding article Allen !!!!! It reaaly makes you think about how into the Government the conspiracy goes. Obviously with all these heavy hitters in Dallas on 11-22-63, it went far deeper than most people think.. Mike

  20. I guess what I was looking at, is if the gun that was supposedly taken from LHO in the Texas Theatre had a bent firing pin, then how could it have fired in order to kill Tippit? Obviously or at least in my opinion if the gun had a bent firing pin when it was taken from LHO, then it must have had a bent firing pin at the time of the Tippit killing. Unless Ozzie bent the pin after he killed Tippet. Could a firing pin become bent by firing a cartridge? I'm just wondering, I'm not saying anything about what happened when LHO was arrested I'm just trying to get it straight in my mind as to what condition the firing pin was in at the time of his arrest. Thanks so far for all the info!!!! Mike
  21. Can anyone who has access to the 26 vols. please look up or if you already know, tell me if the pistol that was supposedly taken from LHO in the Texas Theatre have a defective firing pin? Thanks in advance Mike
  22. John; I believe rogue elements of the CIA were the actual shooters. With the cooperation of a few well placed friends in the FBI, Secret Service and The White House (Johnson's White House.) I do NOT believe the mafia was involved because they didn't have the power to cover up the conspiracy. There were only 2 people on earth that had the power to do that and to benifit from the assassination of Kennedy. Both attained something that they had wanted since their government careers started. One wanted at least four years and the other wanted a lifetime in their respective jobs. Thanks for a great Forum!! Mike
