Despite the difference in age of the person(s) in the photo here, and the one John posted, they look strikingly similar to me.

This is very interesting, George de morenschildt was afraid of someone or something called RAS right before his murder/suicide. He placed people in Dealey Plaza, then committed himself from the strain. According to the memo Arcarcha Smith? and [William] Seymour were part of the ambuscade, and had alibis made for them in New Orleans and Phoenix.......this Sprague investigators memo from 1977 is very interesting, Lee. Beckham, Gordon, Arcacha Smith and Seymour are principles in Dealey with Loy, from General Dynamics as the lead position tramp, ie Frenchy. Ask him to take a lie detector test and then ask him where he put the $200,000 dollars delivered to him by Beckham in August of '67. (Cuban Money) Money that is used to recruit killers to be sent to Cuba to try for Castro ask him if it is not true that he has sent 5 different men to S.A. in Dallas for final briefing. Make Crisman talk and you will have the answer to why there has been fighting among certain Cuban factions over the money in certain buried places. (Arcacha] paid off certain people is it not odd that he was a friend of Clay's as well as Beckham. Is it not strange that he knew Tippet! Just ask Crisman certain questions under a lie detector and see what the answers are. He is the one that advised Mark Evans [beckham's alias] to hide out in Iowa and NOT to go to N.O. to make any statement about money or anything. Have an investigator check out the amount of long distance calls that Beckham (Evans) has made to Crisman in the past year and the wild places Crisman calls. He is leaving for Europe in Jan. The only problem I see with the crash was that it happened at too low an altitude. The parachutist was not able to bail out and parachute to safety. Would he have been able to poison the whole plane first, and then bail out, if high enough altitude had been reached? You bet. Was he part of a fail-safe plan with redundant means of ensuring the flight would be terminated? Always a possibility. Had this asset been sent along in order for him to also fall victim when the plane crashed? I bet he thought so. According to the articles in some of the posts there were many targets on board. That is a lot of "accidents" to arrange. One accident saves resources and lowers chances of foulplay being discovered. United Airlines seems to be conveniently available when the need arises for airline disasters.

It has frequent footnotes to define the jargon. After reassuring Marina that she was free to speak, even though they were being monitored, the word of caution to Robert about the tapped phone is especially interesting. What information were they worried about revealing to the Dallas authorities? Is it possible that, knowing of the tap, Oswald was sending a message through the tap in hopes of getting help?

Didn't Oswald make this statement two times while in custody? I can understand a Father being concerned about new shoes being provided for a child, however, I hardly believe that this would have been a priority for Oswald under his circumstances. This sounds like it could be a coded request for assistance of some sort. Any thoughts on this?

James, The distance is 2.7 driving the shortest distance and 3.1 miles driving the fastest route. Walking? I would guess 2.7 barring shortcuts. Funny thing....I entered 404 e.9th to 404 e. 10th in oak cliff and got a response that the addresses are the same place? 404 e. 9th was given as the residence of a TSBD employee. Can anyone in the Dallas area find out if there is actually a house at 404 e. 9th st.?

There have been several attempts to explain away this report of a dead secret service agent. There might have been something to the story. When you put together the pool of blood reportedly found in the plaza, along with the reports of people in Dealey Plaza reportedly carrying SS ID, you might arrive at the conclusion that someone carrying SS ID was shot and killed in the plaza...could this have been the origin of this story? Naturally, if this person was not a SS agent, the death would have to be suppressed in order to be able to determine that there had been no conspiracy involved in the killing of JFK. Sure, this is speculation, but is it unreasonable in light of those early reports?

How sinister, otherwise. Thanks for the clarification. DMSO was used by many people to help ease their arthritis pains. For some time DMSO was only available through health food stores. DMSO was not prescribed by Drs. for medical ailments. The medical lobby found the non-prescription use of this drug to be an unacceptable practice and had the substance outlawed in California over 10 years ago. The nerve of ordinary citizens taking care of their own medical conditions! There has to be a law against that sort of thing you know. Big Brother in action. We know what is best for you.

I for one am staggered by this turn of events. John Simkin's history resources are just about the most used and most valued resources amongst UK school teachers and their students. John was one of the pioneers moving school history away from an establishment sanctioned highly biased narrative of the past towards the source and skills based approach much UK practice is now happily informed by. I find it extraordinary that a visitor to his site may see some sources on something controversial or contested and then assume that the author necessarily shares the views of the person(s) who wrote the source(s). I find it bewildering, hugely disappointing and utterly philistine and totally anti educational that Wikipedia appear to wish to create an "approved" version of any history and presumably then intend to dress this "narrative" up as "fact". I manage to convince 11 year old school girls that history is constructed reconstructed and contested in about 6 months of teaching. I then concentrate for the rest of the year on giving them the skills to evaluate interpretations and to develop their own interpretations of past events. Perhaps I would have less success with adult Americans? Given the evidence of the behaviour of these Wikipedia muppets I would certamly need more time Andy, You would have little success trying to teach anything to Americans that leaves them feeling "uncomfortable". We have been brainwashed into believing nothing our country does, has done, or will do is wrong. We have God on our side. We are a free country. And so on and so forth..... We really could use a wake up call over here. What we truly are is a country in decline without the ability to see the truth for what it is. Reality, no matter how stark and unpleasant, is what we need to deal with. The sooner the better.

John, as I remember the CIA had a program in the fifties and sixties that studied the toxicological effects of every form of poison. I think this was a spin-off of MKULTRA. Anyhow, they were looking for poisons that could simulate heart-attacks. I believe they were successful. The KGB had similar poisons. Somewhere I remember reading about a Soviet turncoat being murdered in London in the early seventies. It looked like a heart attack. The coroner, once tipped off that it was a possible murder, did a re-inspection, and found a small needle-mark on the man's arm (as I remember). Somebody had bumped into him on the street, and stung him with a tiny needle. Within a few minutes he was dead. Without a trace. After reading this, I remembered that Adlai Stevenson dropped dead on the streets of Paris after denouncing the Vietnam War on a radio show. Made me kinda wonder.... At another point I looked into a series of Senatorial deaths and heart attacks. As a result of this quick series of deaths, Prescott Bush became a U.S. Senator and LBJ became majority leader. Something like 9 sitting Senators (of 96) dropped dead in a 3 year stretch--more than in all the time since. Of course, shorty afterwards LBJ had a heart attack of his own. Made me kinda wonder... {Strange I put up a response on this tread earlier in the day...and saw it..now it isn't here.} Anyway...what I said then was, the CIA and others had developed as mentioned drugs that could simulate heart attack and even all but the most suspicious and qualified forensic pathologist would be likely fooled....more so if they didn't do chromatography on the blood and body fluids....I even once heard a name attached to this set of drugs 'digitoxin'. This agent could be rubbed on the steering wheel of the victim's car, and go unnoticed. It supposedly could cause aneurysms to form on arterial walls, and it would appear that a undiagnosed pre-existing condition could have been in the process of developing over a period of time, pre-disposing the victim to a heart attack or other form of cerebral attack, or stroke. It was speculated that this could have been what happened to Karen Silkwood. Does anyone remember what thread this appeared in? DMSO di-methyl-sulf-oxide A chemical which allows for the passing of chemicals through the skin. Mix poison with DMSO and whomever comes in contact with the DMSO-poison mixture becomes poisoned.

Off topic, but, possibly related.... LHO had several needle punctures in strange areas on his body at the time of his autopsy. Perhaps there was fear that the gunshot alone would not be sufficient to cause death? The marks were described as being surrounded by a blue coloring. Perhaps a blood thinning chemical (rat poison?) was used which caused death by uncontrollable bleeding?

I would like to know how he came into possession of that tourist card...which would have been needed by "Oswald" to travel in Mexico. The hard to read document has the words "been in" inserted between "had contact" giving the final "had been in contact". Chuck, the tourist card was obtained in NO on Sept 17. As in many other instances, the only proof it was LHO was the FBI say-so that the sig and some other writing on the card belonged to him. Not one witness was found placing him there. In the past, I've privately expressed the view that the "mystery man" in the photo was not connected in any way with events surrounding Oswald - so I tend to agree here with Thomas. Robert Howard, a little while back, came up with a Czech named Svatapluk Osvald. CIA station in MC notified the EE (Eastern European?) Division about him on Oct 31. Mary Ferrell in fact, notified the Review Board about this individual, and believed he was the person photographed. I found an individual who was a Czech diplomat - at least in the '80's - named Svatopluk Osvald. I think it's the same individual, and that his name was misspelled by the CIA. To me, the person in the photo looks Slavic. And a Czech diplomat visiting the Cuban Embassy makes perfect sense since Czechoslavkia was the "gateway" to Cuba. Try this: No photo of LHO leaving the embassy was ever taken and so when a photo of Oswald was requested, the photo of Osvald was sent - in what may have even been an honest error - mistaken ID on the surname. As for Oswald visiting the Legat... well... he was placed by a witness at a restaurant in the same building. A number of variables here, though... real LHO/imposter? July/August/Sept? The issue I have with any and all scenarios involving this subject is that if the person in the photo WAS KNOWN then why was he not id'd by theperson who was familiar with him? If this person truly was innocently misidentified as Oswald, as claimed, an official interview of him would have been mandatory to make that determination "official". Personal embarassment caused by being misidentified has never been an acceptable reason to not be subject to an official interview in a criminal investigation. I believe an interview would have been mandatory. I have yet to read a report by Legat detailing the circumstances of this contact with Oswald. There had to have been a written report available to FBI HQ. Inspector Gale had to have some data made available to him regarding this in order to include the subject in his list of questions. So, the whole story of Oswald being photographed covertly is BS. If Legat was in contact with Oswald you can be sure Oswald's current photo was on file. Is there any record of a statement being given by Legat regarding any information he might have re: the JFK murder? It's damn sad that these people were known, without a doubt, to have been in contact with Oswald and yet they were never forced to reveal the purpose of this contact. Investigation my eye....it was more properly an anti-investigation.

Just a note to let you all know that I have found and attached the two files which state that Oswald was in contact with Legat in Mexico. IN CONTACT WITH LEGAT. Does this context not interest anyone? When you take into consideration Win Scott's letter, to a J. C., in which he states that the man in the photos taken outside the Embassy is a man "known to him (JC), it seems clear that "Oswald" was well known to the various intel groups? In contact with Legat and known by the chief of station. That is a pretty cozy relationship with the CIA and he can not, therefore, be merely one unknown and as yet unidentified man.

If it is Lee Oswald's body, then they dressed him in Lovelady's red plaid shirt. Oswald's arrest photos show Lee wearing a brown grainy shirt. Groden's book "TKOAP" shows Lovelady wearing his red plaid shirt. The Hughes film shows it to be a read shirt. Altgens photo #6 shows the plaid design. Lovelady's head - Lovelady's clothes. Bill Miller It's a bit curious that Oswald, as shown in photos of him in custody, has his shirt unbuttoned, in the same manner, down to the same button, as the figure on the doorstep. Look closely at Oswald's shirt and you also see lines, similar to those you highlighted, running through it. Perhaps an overlay on Oswald's shirt would show similar results?

I can agree with the latter part, but the first? There are many women in my life who would brain me for agreeing with you!! When she might have earliest seen the killer would largely depend upon where he came from. If he had been either walking westbound from Denver toward Patton, it would have presumably have been later than if he'd been coming eastbound from Crawford and had to cross a yard and street directly in front of Markham. If he had been stationary until he'd seen the police cruiser - say, on the porch of the house that Tippit "lived in?" - then he might not have been noticeable at all. It would seem that motion - rather than gender! - would have been been what attracted her notice. If he'd been waiting patiently for the cruiser to come along, and his clothing not being something to attract attention (neutral colors, as they were), then the only thing left would seem to be gender. I don't think Helen's sense of smell was that acute!! As to police cruisers on Jefferson ... what police cruisers could have been on Jefferson? Remember that Tippit was called there because - according to one of the dispatchers, Hensley I'm thinking - "resources had been drained from Oak Cliff" in response to the downtown shooting, so there were no cruisers that could've seen him. If he was "lying in wait" for Tippit, it could only have been because he'd known that there were no cruisers in the area. Since JD was assigned to a different area a few miles away, it would have been a pretty dumb place for him to "lie in wait," don't you think? I mean, Kiest and Bonnieview would seem like a better choice, somewhere in Tippit's patrol area, no? But ... wait!! You're not suggesting that the killer knew there were no cops in the area, and that Tippit would be sent to central Oak Cliff, so it really was a good lying-in-wait location ... or (ohmigod!) that the dispatchers deliberately cleared Oak Cliff so that Tippit could be sent to the area where said gunman was lying in wait for his appareance, are you? Since that couldn't possibly be true, it proves that Oswald shot JD Tippit - and that only Oswald could have shot him, all while trying to escape so he could get caught. QED. I am reminded of a message on the DPD transcripts regarding a Johnson Aide named Minesport (Mein Sport = my saint?), who was to be met (at the airport?), and I can't help but wonder if this was a code name for Oswald. Mr. Hemming said minesport was in reference to the "football", a briefcase with nuclear codes, carried by a military aide. Mr. Mack said minesport was a mistake and probably was supposed to be hyannisport. I know I come up with some wacky stuff, but, if nothing else, it is as probable as the other explanations I have heard.

Charlie, The question you ask is one that will most likely never have a real answer. So much of what the eyewitnesses said, and they said a lot, has been dismissed by those who find the statements they gave inconvenient. Statements such as "look out, they're shooting back!" "the last shot sounded like a .45" "the president was standing in the car" were all descriptions of events not seen in the filmed record. Many more details exist in the witness statements which were not investigated properly. To dismiss these kind of statements, it would first be necessary to question thoroughly those who gave the statements. As far as I can tell...there was no attempt made to verify these stories, the onus was on dismissing their recollections as mistakes or faulty memories. Attention to detail was not the rallying cry heard when Dallas authorities began their "investigation" of the crime. More attention was given to burying information than was ever spent upon uncovering information. Even now, after the A.R.R.B. was supposed to have left no information kept in secret, we still see massive amounts of data hidden from us under the umbrella of "national security". If the information being kept from us proves a conspiracy was responsible for JFK's death (which I believe) there is no doubt that national security is at stake. The list of after-the-fact accessories would be a mile long and involve those in the highest offices of government. Their security is the "national security" they hide the evidence behind. I am sure that their fear of capital punishment is the glue that has kept the acts of 11/22/63 secret for so long. How nice it must be for the plotters to feel that no punishment will ever come to them. How nice for them to have a nation of people who refuse to demand an honest accounting of that days events. How they must truly dislike people like us who won't play by their rules.
