Tom, it was really weird to see that photo you posted of the Remington Arms factory in Bridgeport, Connecticut. I walked past that very factory on my way home from Saint Michael's School on the afternoon of Nov. 22, 1963. I was unaware of the shooting until I reached home but I remember that walk to this day as if it happened yesterday. I walked past those buildings every day for two years while I was in second and third grade. Yeah, you could walk down Barnum Ave., Arctic Street and Hallett Street as a kid back in those days. Sorry to take the thread off on a tangent but that photo brought back the memories.

Rich is surely missed. I couldn't wait to log on each day and see what new posts Rich and others had put up on the forum dealing with everything from JFK,9/11,global warming,the New World Order or some new joke or funny anecdote. The lack of bitching, name calling and other crap you see on evidence on this forum especially, was what made me keep coming back. I got to meet and communicate with some very interesting folks there from Greg, Bernice, Jack, Jim and not the least, Rich, the father of JFK forum administrators. Thanks, for the heads up Greg.

Bill, great review. I've got a question for you before I consider reading this book. Are there parts of this book that make you want to throw it across the room out of frustration because you are aware of falsehoods, lies or deliberate manipulation of the facts? From your review, I take it does lean towards the theory of a conspiracy, but after reading the Doug Horne volumes, the Douglas book and the Armstrong tome, all three of which I consider some of the best I have read on the assassination, I don't have much tolerance for the bullxxxx, if you know what I mean? I found Bolden's book very believable and I have great sympathy for the situation he found himself in, and would have a hard time accepting whatever propaganda Blaine puts forth in this book. So can you provide me with a bullxxxx factor score on this book, for lack of a better phrase, dealing with my concerns. A one being complete bullxxxx and a ten representing a book along the lines of the three previously mentioned. Thanks, Walt.

Greg, I am the first to admit I have a limited knowledge of the circumstances behind the creation of the state of Israel. I am sure their founding fathers are viewed much like ours are here in the US. It is possible and probably most likely, that elements of the Israeli government have gone rogue so to speak and don't quite live up to the standards most Israeli's might hold for their leaders, much like their Neocon brethren here in the US. I have always supported the idea of a homeland for the Jews. If I understand your explanation, the Palestinians had their chance at a homeland as well and resented the establishment of Israel where they hoped to establish theirs. If you are correct, only they are to blame for not following suit and declaring their own state back in the 40's. Who fired the first shot has some relevance but some 62 years later there is enough blame to be shared by all sides. I find it sad that many Israeli actions smack of the very tactics used by the fascists who hunted them down in the 30 and 40's. I don't condone the Arab attacks on Israel by any means either. The United States government sees what it wants to see and often at the expense of fairness. I can see the Neocons and Zionists working together to pull off a 9/11 attack like I can see the CIA, the Pentagon and the Mafia working together to bump off JFK. I am open to any scenario that makes sense.

A very cathartic thread. To be Jewish does not mean you are a Zionist. Zionism is a political philosophy that happens to be associated with extreme groups within the country of Israel as well as without. Not all Muslims are Jihadists to draw a similar parallel. Are the Zionist responsible in some way for 9/11? Do they have connections with the Neocons? Who has benefited from the events of 9/11? Why do American politicians and the media refuse to stand up to atrocities committed by Israel in Gaza? These are all good questions and no one should be afraid to ask them. It's a puzzling mystery. I'm a CT'er and I think that if the pieces that are hidden or have presumably been destroyed are somehow made public, those pieces would fit to support the conspiracy view as well.

An interesting thought on her part, but begs a question. Why did they not take to the streets against the Nazi Government? They sure seemed to have a different view then. By the time the Nazi's took over they had pretty well established control of the streets. Remember they fought battles with the communists openly in the streets led by Ernst Rohm's million plus SA brownshirts who for lack of a better term, were Hitler's street gang or muscle. I would guess the Nazi thugs pretty well scared the average person to docility by the time most figured out what had hit them.

Good effort, Robert. Interesting that you included all the different theories, those used by both the LNers as well as the CT's (single bullet theory, missed shots, sewer shot, etc.) and merged them to explain a conspiracy. The single bullet theory could very well be correct but only if a shot had come from the Dal-Tex building. Arlen Specter might have got it half right except for the angles. I still think Oswald fired no shots at all and was not on the 6th floor at the time of the shooting and that the Z film and many others as you have demonstrated have been tampered with and altered. This creates a bit of a problem for parts of your theory when you utilized the Z film so much in your explanation of the head shots. I wonder if you have read Doug Horne's books relating to the x-rays and film alteration as well as JFK's head wounds as seen in Dallas and Bethesda. Overall a pretty good job of trying to make the pieces fit from the evidence that the general public has at its' finger tips. Mafia figures might have been involved to an extent but they could not order the destruction and alteration of evidence and wounds don't you agree?

Which husband "Harvey" or "Lee" is the real father of her children? Also ask her how many Margarite Oswalds did she actually know? One more; has she spoken to Ruth Paine in the past 47 years?

Thanks, Jack. Good stuff. Armstrong's work is the Rosetta Stone to who Oswald (Harvey and Lee) was. Is he re-entering the JFK public arena? Any research not included in his book coming out in the near future? I know you have said int he past that he has much that he did not include because he was not 100% sure and only published what he could solidly confirm. There must be some interesting information he has yet to divulge. I am still curious as to what happened to Lee's mother, the other Mrs. Oswald after the assassination. As I recall, knowledge of her where-a-bouts was traced by Armstrong up to the summer of 63 am I correct? Then she just vanished?

Mark, thanks to you I was first able to view the Zapruder film at one of your college lectures in New Haven back in the early 70's. My question is, did you ever get the see the "other" Zapruder film like several researchers have including the late Rich DellaRosa which depicts an unedited/undoctored version including the limo stop?

There seems to be a real push to get some "lone nutter" publications and films out there. The Horne series and the Douglas book has them nervous I guess. How does this get passed from generation to another I'll never know. There must be some kind of lab that produces defenders of the lone killer theory. I, for the life of me, can't figure out how they keep coming up with people like McAdams, Hanks, Posner, et. al. People thought the world was flat at one time too.

In a taped recording, condensed recreation of the reporting that day, Pate described the presidential limousine turning onto Elm Street and proceeding toward the Triple Underpass, en route to the Trade Mart when he suddenly reports: “it…it…it appears as though something has happened in the motorcade route…something…I repeat has happened in the motorcade…there are numerous people running up the hill alongside Elm Street there by Stemmons…several police officers are rushing up the hill at this time…standby…just a moment please.” If Pate was on the entrance ramp, he obviously is not speaking of the hill on the grassy knoll. He could not have seen those events even though he correctly states people and police are running up the hill. He must have taken some liberties when recreating his account of the action he witnessed. I'd still would like to know where Phillips got his version.
