Thanks for this link, Donald. I think there are some important things this doctor should be saying and now that he has finally started speaking, perhaps he will say them. We can only hope!

I feel that after 81 arrests and no charges it doesn't really matter if Mr Groden is saying that aliens came down from outerspace and personally told him the plot behind the assassination of JFK (which he is not, and what he does say is worth listening to). The point is that Mr Groden is being harassed and abused by the city on purpose and it is a massive human rights breach.

He deserves to win his case and I hope he receives compensation for the trouble the city has caused. It's outrageous!

I also get the feeling that if Mr Groden was championing animal rights or children's causes then a lot more people would be up in arms about the abuse he is suffering at the hands of Dallas. For shame Dallas.

Even if this Lovelady/Oswald theory was accurate it will never gain wide support from the public or the main stream media. It's too convoluted, plagued by infighting and not accessible to the general public who may want to look into it further.

I wish, Dr Fetzer that you would put your name and your time into something similar but less controversial. The Oswald Innocent Project is a great idea, I just think there is so much better evidence to use.

Can someone please give me the name of the UK based JFK research group? It's slipped my mind in a big way and I am collecting data about all of the upcoming memorials and events for the 50th. I would like to know if they are planning anything and if so if I can please have a press release for http://gregparke4.wix.com/jfk50th where the list of events will be stored.

Also, if anyone else knows of anything being planned around the world or in Dallas.

I wrote to Elizabeth Shedlick aprox 4-5 months ago asking if she would like to share her recollections of the time, especially about Dr Burkley and if he had mentioned anything to her about JFK's autopsy or assassination.

I have received no reply.

I must say that I am not really to surprised though.

I bet they both have some great stories to tell. I wonder if they have any interest in telling them at this late stage. It gives me something to focus on now we know Burkley's files have been destroyed. At least we know I guess..

Pat, I wasn't aware that office had been shut down. You do indeed live in Siberia as Simi Valley is wayyy out there Mr Denlea was based at the Home Office at 4680 Wilshire Blvd. He would certainly have visited the Simi Valley office and had lunch there on many occasions. The last time I saw him we sat 5 feet apart in the commercial division office in LA where I worked. That was probably in the late 90's. At that time, I had no idea he was married to the Admiral's daughter. I just learned of that within the last few years at this forum. Had I known, I would have asked him privately about it. Who knows what that would have led to. I am wondering if the Illig files were really destroyed about 20 years ago, or were they destroyed later than that by the family's request after the AARB contact. I find it hard to believe those records would be destroyed without the family's knowledge or consent.

Frankie, I think the information from Admiral Burkley would have been extremely valuable to serious JFK researchers.

I'm not much of a paranoid person but I started making noises about try to get a hold of these files 3 years ago. Following that someone hacked my partner's email account and sent me a very strange message, and now I find the files were destroyed 20 years back. The letter from the firm says that Burkley's files were destroyed, not all of Illig's files. So I will have to write and ask if it was just Burkley's. I will also ask if the family requested the destruction. I did wonder, when I got the news if they had infact been destroyed 20 years ago or after contact from the ARRB or even just 3 years ago when I began ringing.

Leo Denlea Jr was the CEO at Farmers Insurance in Los Angeles where I also worked. I met him a few times and certainly had the impression he was a very private man. He also had a reputation of being quiet spoken and reasonable. I believe he simply asked his wife to change her mind as he did not want his family name associated with the assassination. Too bad there was no followup as there may have been the possibility of another change of mind. Sad that personal considerations win out over such important historical information.

That is such a shame. If there was anything there it would have been quite important I believe.

I have news, but it's not the news we wanted. I finally got an answer from the Illig law firm via snail mail. They have informed me that all of Dr Burkley's files were destroyed more than 20 years ago.

Dr Burkley's legal files would have been amazing if they had still existed. His integrity as a witness would be very hard to call into question. I guess I'm 20 years too late.

Big thanks to Bill Kelly, Jim DiEngenio, Canadian Cinderelly, Greg Parker, and Steve Duffy for helping out and giving advice on a 3 year journey for a simple answer.

I wish critics of the film 'JFK' would remember that its not a documentary as such of the JFK assassination but a documentary about the Garrison trial and what Garrison believed made with artistic licence to be able to fit everything in. The film is accurate as in it portrays what Jim Garrison believed at the time of the trial, right or wrong. So really I don't see the need to be debunking it all the time.

Also, due to Oliver Stone and the film 'JFK' thousands of documents were released after the creation of the ARRB, so I feel both LN and CT alike should be grateful for that.
