  1. Hey John! Sorry - no clue. Marrs is on board here - could ask, but I already believe that the answer will be inconclusive. Not even clear if this event actually transpired - however, the pipes must have been worked on, because as I understand it - the original pipes [at the top of the underpass in the drain there] had a certain diameter in 1963 which would have allowed a full grown man to crawl through - while in 2010, they do not.\ Not a great answer I am afraid. - lee
  2. I studied it - and was asked to study it further. I got the best copy I could lay my hands on [original B&W glossy print, [dated either 11/22 or11/23/63] and scanned it to a very high resolution. I performed all sorts of photoshop functions, etc. - I found nothing aside from a number of people in vehicles, and what sure seems to be two men standing to the rear of the pick-up - which appeared at odds with your account. I also was unable to find any type of supporting evidence [eye witness, ear witness, photo, film, medical] to support a shot from this location. Adding an electrical service in this location in more recent years didn't add up to the nefarious. Jim Marrs comment about a rifle being pulled from the pipes during construction didn't help because he could recall to which side of the underpass this event allegedly corresponded. Furthermore, Mike Brown vehemently argued the credibility of the DPD [can't remember the name of the cop] stationed in this location - friend of the family, knew him well, honest and upright, etc - emphatically he stated that no shot could have been fired from this location without this cop having taken action - or mentioning such an event. Out of the shots fired - on the basis of witness accounts, photos, and what can be compiled from the sorry excuse for evidence [like the hole in the floorpan, for example] - doesn't fit. The hole in the windshield has a much higher probability on a correlation to a botched shot to the head which went on to penetrate the windshield and strike the curb at Main st - some 25 feet from where Tague was standing. Tague doesn't provided any support for a shot from this location either - and he was standing right there. What does fit is a high velocity heavy weight round coming from the general direction of the DalTex or Records Building - ripping into the top center right portion of Kennedy's head, smashing out the skull in this location and flapping the scalp forward over the face - a lasagna shot or graze shot - fatal. Whether or not a secondary shot slammed into the top rear front portion of the head within a fraction of a second, or seconds following [assuming that the Z is dubious] is moot - the killshot had been delivered. What also fits are a number of other hits/misses - but these all appear to have all come from the direction of the office buildings, and possibly the top of the north side of the underpass / behind the picket fence. If no one cared, there wouldn't be so many posts dedicated to the subject and so many responses - however, math isn't adding for me personally. - lee
  3. Peace Paisan. You leave large shoes behind you which left permanently resounding treads - you took the path less traveled, made a difference, and mattered to a lot of people....
  4. Thanks very much for that Bill - owe you one. - lee
  5. Must be nice to know things with such certainty. This part of the plane doesn't go to Miami. Mudd is speculation only as to his position without additional supporting evidence - and there is plenty of doubt, with the nature of his report, the vagueness of other accounts like Hudson, etc. - this is sheer speculation - and should be noted as such. As to whether or not something sinister occurred on the steps - it's equally vague. We have the account of Sitzman and the coke bottle breaking incident, the Brennan bit on the box of wadding and smoke, the red pools of what appeared to be blood, the appearance of misleading the witness in the case of the diagram of the area drawn by Specter and Jean Hill, the alleged account provided by Gordon Arnold, the STRONGER possibility that the man on the stairs was the same as can be scene in aftermath photos as being a black male and associated with the black woman and small child - behind which is more strength with the interview by the Press Bus guy whose name I never remember Roberts - etc., etc. Add to the mix the clear difference in the various Moorman [5?] photos - which I have attempted to demonstrate myself here on multiple occasions. Chock in the chain of evidence problem. Consider that people lying on the sidewalk could apply to more than this area - as there is a limitation on available footage and photography evidence for the area closer to the TSBD. Chock in the anomaly which exists in the earliest Moorman 5 generations for this area of the stairs [including first day newspaper publications] which does not in later versions. On the Willis view - as per a prior post, I examined very high resolution scans of high quality color Willis photos provided to me physically by another researcher who came by them directly from the hands of Mrs. Willis. I was not able to confirm this alleged overlap - and even would theorize that the third man to join the group did so upon the approach of the motorcade - which would account for his absence. Furthermore - Hudson does not refer to 2 individuals within spitting distance - he refers only to a young man - and on the basis of the quality of the materials and more speculation - we could assume this to be the individual in the red shirt - BUT - there is no evidence of the man in the red shirt lying down before Hudson - no evidence of anyone lying down in this area and urging someone else to join him - only the opposite as per what we see in Nix. The aftermath leaves us with a possible conclusion that the man in the red shirt is one and the same since we see the two men sitting together after-the-fact. And on the basis of taking into account all photos and films of this area during and after - I certainly wouldn't want to take odds that the man in the red shirt was 60 years old - the reverse again. Once again, I would like Mark Oakes opinion on subject - I do not have his contact info - and if anyone does, would be great to address the Mudd topic, and see what additional info he may have on the possible ID of the other men on the stairs.. On topic - chain of evidence for Willis material? I did send an email to Rosemary - requesting that she fill in the blank around her alleged 'unedited' account of events as provided to the Dallas Monthly interview - where she begins to speak about Kodak and imposters and the entire piece is omitted - without response. http://educationforum.ipbhost.com/index.ph...st&p=146909
  6. I have seriously enjoyed all of my chats with T Casey - he's intelligent, lucid, witty and always sincere. I thought that the video he asked me to post did nothing for his credibility - he doesn't care - he only wanted to let folks know he was still alive despite what happened to him. What I would note is this - his account has not changed over time, he still believes in everything he has put forward, and still feels an urge to provide the account before an official review board, etc. He has volunteered on multiple occasions to take a polygraph - he is very sincere about the events he has detailed - that despite his background as a comic book writer and longtime homeless person. So it does become interesting from the perspective of 'too many chiefs' and the other leads which appear to connect UKLTRA to the events of 11/22. Where was David Ferrie on 11/22? Not in the courtroom with Marcello - and not in the offices of Wray - there's zero proof of that. If anything ever came out which would reveal a connection of any kind to Dr. Earnshaw - that would be interesting. T. Casey himself is baffled as to why he is the only one to have come forward about Earnshaw and the experiments he performed on children. Also why folks in the neighborhood he grew up in haven't ever bothered to come forward about Oswald and Ferrie having visited there. The end for now - I've said it before - we wouldn't believe that MKULTRA related projects were anything but myth - more UFO related nonsense really. MKULTRA? What a joke - our Government would never have participated - and certainly would not have included experimentation on unknowing, human beings covered by law, the Constitution, etc.- including children - in such programs. Easily debunked, if it hadn't been for the screw-up which led to those financial records failing to be included in the destruction process [i myself enjoyed understanding the cut-out process established in some of these documents]. I think we will see a movement which will validate those experiments as both useful and necessary - as they led to huge leaps and advances in technology and our knowledge of how the brain functions - wasn't the Doctor's fault - they were working for the US Government. Wasn't the parent's fault - they allowed their kids to participate - for God, their Country and Science. No one to blame really. Let Canada pay out a few million in damages to their victims - not the US. Maybe one day some info will emerge with respect to ULTRA and channels that existed in 1963 - that may make things more interesting.
  7. http://www.heritage.com/articles/2010/01/2...58304598734.txt By Sara Waisanen, Special Writer Somewhere in Ann Arbor is a comic book writer who could have changed the course of history. He is a man who earned fame and notoriety for the comics he wrote in the 1970s and now he's homeless and "couch surfing." At the age of 61, he hangs out in Ann Arbor meeting "chicks" and talking about how he "helped kill John F. Kennedy." T. Casey Brennan is the author of Warren Publishing's "Creepy, Eerie, Vampirella," DC Comics' "House of Mystery" and Archie Comics' "Red Circle Sorcery," among others. The "T" in T. Casey stands for Terrance and he's gone by T. Casey ever since he has been a published comic. Brennan's most head-turning comics are the ones in which he tells of his involvement in the JFK assassination, as a victim of MK-ULTRA, an alleged CIA operation that involved brainwashing and experimenting with drugs. In 1996, Brennan first wrote about what he says happened in the JFK assassination in his comic "Conjurella." "It seemed to breathe new life into my comic career," Brennan said. In 2006, Brennan wrote more about the JFK assassination in his comic "Hypothetical Cerebus" in Actor Comics Presents. He writes in detail about how he was forced to take a shot at JFK and what his life has been like since that historic event. Brennan's comic is for sale and can be purchased at Labyrinth Comics and Games, located at 324 S. State St. in Ann Arbor "I wanted to tell the truth about the Kennedy assassination," he said. Prior to JFK's assassination on Nov. 22, 1963, Brennan said he would go with his father who would get hypnosis from a Dr. Earnshaw. While they were there, the doctor would drug them with or without their consent, he said. "I was a docile kid," Brennan said. "I did what they told me to do." Brennan claims that Dr. Earnshaw and David Ferrie, who some conspiracy theorists believe was involved in the JFK assassination, came at him with a needle and injected something into his neck. He was then stuffed in a crate and flown to Dallas. Brennan said he woke up in a storage room. A hood was put over his head and he was forced to fire a shot at the president who was driving by on the street below. Brennan said he didn't know if the shot connected, but he thinks it ricocheted off the pavement and hit a pedestrian. He was then pushed out of the way and Ferrie continued to shoot. [T. Casey found that part amusing - he never suggested that account] Brennan said they left the storage room and ran into Lee Harvey Oswald on the second floor, pushing a broom. Brennan was 15 years old at the time of the assassination, he said. Brennan's name is mentioned in the book "Reclaiming History: The Assassination of President John F. Kennedy" by Vincent Bugliosi, which he carries around with him on he streets of Ann Arbor. Brennan said he would take a polygraph test and testify about his experience, but no one seems to care. "Nobody wants to know or hear about it," he said. After Brennan's comic success in the 1970s, he says he was blacklisted by the comic book industry. He started having financial problems and took jobs in restaurants and started "couch surfing." "I had been through such hell in the '80s," he said. "No one knew I was a celebrity comic book writer." In 2003, Brennan said a car hit him while he was crossing the street on the corner of Washtenaw and Oakwood in Ypsilanti. He couldn't speak and he had "post-concussion syndrome," he said. Brennan was never able to get a lawyer. After his accident he thought he was 15 years old, he said. One day he looked in the mirror, saw his gray hair and was brought back to reality. He recovered at a "punk house" and he said the sounds of punk rock music playing made him feel better. Since his accident, he's never been able to work, he said. Brennan, out of work and homeless, says he hangs out with his punk rock friends, goes to parties every weekend and hangs out with cool girls. "There's times when it (being homeless) works well," he said. "I'm having fun, but there are times when I'm on the brink of disaster." Brennan doesn't hang out on the streets asking for money. He gets meals at the shelter and sometimes people come up to him and give him money. He says he doesn't really think about food and is "way better off starving." Whenever he needs a place to crash, he calls a woman from a notebook of names of "foxy girls" that he carries around with him. "It's like everything about me seems to fit," he said.
  8. Just some shots I took for use as a reference.... These are photos of the front, along West 10th, and the west side, on Crawford, and the back alley and rear.
  9. T. Casey requested that I paste this youtube link to let everyone know he is still alive and kicking. He still refuses to recant his account.
  10. was waiting for someone to post Frog's latest...guess I'll toss this into the ring. It's interesting anyway...quite a few areas of interest - shoes, fingers, slope to the shoulders, shadows, etc - stuff missing though - like the gunnysack under the porch or whatever that is supposed to be - plus the Oswald photo has this area that doesn't seem to jive with this other one. - lee
  11. Hey Mike! Well - we agree and disagree on a few points here. I think I should first make it clear that I believe in a shot fired from either the DalTex or Records Building - slamming into the rear of Kennedy's head, as being the killshot. Where things are not clear - for me anyway - is whether this shot from the rear was almost instantly followed by a shot from the front. Well - let's take this one first - we can see a skull fragment flying almost straight up in the Z footage. There were fragments found on the grass & in the street - it's also been stated that there were fragments found inside the car as well. Now - from a forensics point of view - we have a moot point being made here by Luis W. Alvarez. He can study the z-film all he wants - from a 'forensics' point of view - there is little to no evidence for forensics to study. - ce399 is a farce of the highest proportions - I actually wrote to the Forensics Files television program asking them to simply consider this single piece of evidence. Fire a bullet through a cadaver - or a pig, whatever - it's never going to look like ce399 - and I am surprised that our Government hasn't considered funding a billion dollar program to try this out, with all of the slaughtered pigs being buried in a large pit. Hope they don't seize on this idea in order to borrow more money from the Fed. - bullet fragments were never collected from Connally and went to his grave. - bullet fragments were allegedly recovered from the windshield - where are they. - bullet fragments were collected from Kennedy and from the inside of the car - where are they today. - bullet fragments or bullets were clearly recovered from the lawn by FBI agent Robert Barrett and Sheriff Buddy Walthers. And like Alvarez, I used careful study of the photographic evidence to make that claim [in addition to the hearsay, eye witness accounts, and statements of other individuals that knew Walthers - unlike Alvarez]. - The original autopsy notes were destroyed. - The original autopsy photos were tampered with - that is a simple fact. - The brain went missing. Consider that from the perspective of forensics - the biggest part of the evidence is gone. - Evidence suggests the use of a second brain. - Consider where the Harper fragment was discovered. - The autopsy was conducted by individuals with no real expert experience in performing autopsies - and it was directed. - The bullet which struck the curb at Main street was never found - only the lead smear on the concrete [which was allegedly tested] - As per the Bethesda hospital workers, two caskets arrived, and the one that they had contained Kennedy minus much of a brain and a hole in the back of the head large enough to put your hands in. - ce399 was found on a stretcher - and there is contention over which stretcher, and if there was more than one such bullet recovered - the other, if memory serves, was a .38 - The crime scene was sanitized by the SS on direct orders and removed from Dallas. - In direct violation of law, the body was seized by the SS and removed from Dallas. - Where are the skull fragments collected by Vince Drain. - How does Harry Holmes escape conviction for collecting various skull fragments and disposing of them - tampering with the biggest crime scene of the 20th century. - etc. etc. etc. More on the skull fragments themselves - an excellent summary put together by Vince Palamara. http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/palamara/skullfragments.html So, from a 'forensics' point of view - Dr. Alvarez really has no case. If the best he can do is theorize, on the basis of his limited knowledge of the case, combined with careful viewing of the Z film, as a Professional, he really ought to have kept silent? Much like Obama, when he admitted to not knowing all the details surrounding the arrest of his friend Gates. 2) All the bullet fragments in JFK's skull were right of the centerline, precluding a shot from the right front (GK). - The X-ray clearly indicates a trail of particles which passes along the top of the inside of the skull - if we can believe that x-ray - meaning what? - Other x-rays have clearly been tampered with - and contain what appears to be a perfectly round object, measuring exactly 6.5mm - which is also evidence of tampering. - Can Dr. Alvarez produce his evidence to support this claim with respect to bullet and skull fragments and where they were found? I think not. Can he explain what Hume meant by surgery to the top of the head? What's his take on what the witnesses reported? Where's his model and what backs it up? 3) There was no exit wound on the left of JFK's skull. Why would there need to have been an exit would on the left side of the skull. If the bullet entered somewhere near the right front temple, it could have exited in the right rear - and it would depend upon two factors. a. The trajectory and position of the head at the time it was hit, and b. Whether or not it was the second shot to strike the head, therefore follow a path of least resistance, where a previously fired round would have created sufficient weakness within the skull, various chambers, pressures, etc. http://www.jfkresearch.com/JFKSecondAutopsy.pdf Here's my main problem with the good Doctor's summary: He thinks Oswald did it. Now ignore everything I stated here and look at it like this: - A shot was fired from the rear - DalTex or Records Building. It smashed into the back of Kennedy's head - blowing skull fragments up and forward, and causing the scalp to flap forward over his face - what is known as a 'graze shot' or 'lasagna shot.' For all intents and purposes, he was essentially dead at this point. Whether or not a final shot [which would fit in with accounts provided by 'ear' witnesses [dum-dum] and quite of lot of other data - including how skull fragments ending up being found on the grass, sound of a shot, smoke in the air, footprints, mud on bumper, direction of crowd, etc] is moot - based upon the evidence, or lack thereof, as it stands today. But the shot didn't come from the 6th window of the TSBD, and it wasn't fired by Oswald. Was there a final shot from the front? I think that there was - but again, it wouldn't have made much of a difference - the shot from the rear was mortal. "From a forensics point of view, the direction of the head shot is unambiguous." Of course it's ambiguous - Alvarez is suggesting that this shot was fired by Oswald from the 6th floor window. Consider this - if this was a 'real' crime scene, and not one covered up and screwed with by anyone and everyone [DPD, SS, FBI, Postal Inspectors, reporters, bystanders, LBJ, Bethesda, etc] - the reenactment would have been much different - and based upon a model made of the head and it's various injuries, today one could have reconstructed that crime scene - placed the body in it's exact position and location, and then used a simple laser pointer to mark the exact window it came from, with a marginal error of some small percentage. And the true irony of the situation is that someone did something just like that with computers - using warped data and seeking to continue to perpetuate the myth - more's the tragedy. - lee
  12. Hey Mike! Very good post - two comments to add. 1. When I communicated with Hemming about the concept of Oswald in the doorway - he had something interesting to say, something to the effect more or less that 'the rabbit may have popped it's head out of the hole.' I found that to be interesting. As always, was this speculation or something he had heard or knew more about - however, it sounded [to me] as if he was conceding something. 2. Photographic evidence - somewhere, someplace Sprague makes a comment to the effect that he realized that there was a conspiracy when they failed miserably to find any photographic proof of any kind of Oswald in the alleged window. Plus as per the record, he wasn't able to lay his hands on a number of alleged photographic records that were said to exist. I made the observation before - and this remains unchanged - I believe that the area of the doorway in the Altgens was sanitized at a minimum. It's not simply 'a man's white shirt.' There's something missing - and even the earliest prints of this photo have this area of question. And in other film frames and photos - there is what appears to be a man standing in the doorway, behind Lovelady's position, maybe taking a photo of the motorcade. While many place Oswald in the lunchroom during the event - this doesn't really make too much sense does it? We assume he's being set up - the ballistics, the tree, the weapon, the scope, the number of shots fired vs the number of shells recovered, the lack of proper testing, the nitrates, Kleins, timing, blah blah blah - I think that's a pretty fair assumption - and the best that the Warren report could do was create a circumstantial case around a dead man. So let's approach it from that perspective - Oswald knows Kennedy is coming. He allegedly likes Kennedy. Oswald is a photo buff. He likes taking pictures. So if he isn't in anyway associated - why isn't he standing out on the steps taking a photo of the motorcade as it passes? And if he does know what is going on, then why isn't he taking precautions to provide himself with an alibi? Why doesn't Oswald care that Kennedy is passing by the front of the building if he is such a political animal? Fritz notes - Shelley said he was out front - but Ball didn't ask him the pertinent question either. Whoops! Someone used 3 of the items I had created and posted on the forum - LOL! http://www.angelfire.com/blog2/jfk/teach.htm Don't know that it's accurate to assume the photoshop on Oswald and Lovelady - but I do think it's much more logical that Oswald was standing out there on the steps, as opposed to sitting by himself in the lunchroom, or up on 6 where the killshot didn't even originate. As to Dillard - I agree with one of your other posts - I do not believe that the photo reproduced in the WR is the photo taken by Dillard 11/22 - but instead a reenactment, which took place in 1964 at Ball's coaching - and with plenty of coaching. As per Dillard's comment - he did not even recall if he developed the negative or not - and whatever it was he handed Ball [no way of knowing since we weren't there] was something that he had 'printed.' And the photo allegedly showing the men standing in the west window appears to have vanished from history. - lee
  13. Place your shooter from the rear in the lower floors of the DalTex or lower floors of the Records Building - then put your practically simultaneous shot [DUM DUM] from the front further down the fenceline towards the underpass with Ol Smokey as a decoy and speed kills. - lee
  14. Hi Duke. An excellent post - first off. I think, however, that the fundamental problem here is our expectation that everyone is recounting the events honestly and accurately. Synching everything would be much easier if this were indeed the case. For example: 1. Ball to Williams - you told the FBI on 11/23 that you took the stairs. 2. Ball to Williams - you told the FBI on 1/14 that you took the west elevator. 3. Ball to Williams - remember our previous conversation about this - for which no record exists - on 3/20? Didn't your memory improve then? Just as I do not believe Williams ate a sandwich containing chicken on the bone, I also do not believe his WC version of the details. Someone else conveniently put it together, so I am borrowing here: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.assassi...2521041c4e762a3 Like the title of Chinua Achebe's book, 'Things fall apart.' What is more logical, it seems to me, is that Williams, Jarman and Norman received significant coaching from Ball prior to their WC testimony - and that loose ends concerning the circumstantial case against Oswald [chicken bones, soda bottle, elevator positions, who was on 5 and 6, etc.] had to be nailed down. What is missing from the actual details of what transpired is that which needed to be concealed.
  15. To: Chief Stevenson Captain Fritz Subject: Information on threats against President Kennedy The wife of Detective RE Abbott said that a former employee at Parkland Hospital [Cuban - unknown] was heard by Mrs Johnson [159 Nurse Johnson] the admission desk and a[n] orderly named HOSEY [Hosey Lee McCoy - deceased] saying that President Kennedy would be killed. The former employee was a Cuban. His name can be furnished by Mr Morgan [?] who is Mrs Abbott's supervisor. OA Jones Captain of Police Looking glum....
  16. I think I may have a little something for you. Robert E. Abbott was a Detective in the Criminal Investigation Division, Forgery Bureau. http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/...p;relPageId=165 The memo to M.W. Stevenson was from Captain O.A. Jones, the Head of the Forgery Bureau. http://jfk.ci.dallas.tx.us/03/0399-001.gif The Price Exhibit 2-35 are statements of various Parkland Hospital employees concerning the events of November 22-24. They can be found in volume 21 of the WC Hearings. On page 249 of this Exhibit, is the report of Ass't Administrator Bob Holcomb concerning the shooting of Oswald on the 24th. In it, ...says that Admitting Orderly Holse was in the morgue. Holse is mentioned at least three times on that page. http://www.maryferrell.org/mffweb/archive/...p;relPageId=273 Since Cap't Jones memo says that Mrs. Johnson was on the admissions desk, I'm willing to bet that Admitting Orderly, Holse is the orderly in question. Steve Thomas In line with Mark's observation, couldn't be Jose [Hosey - or really, HOE-seh] Reyse could it? http://www.assassinationresearch.com/v4n2/v4n2contents.doc - lee
  17. It has already been discussed on the forum. Larry Hancock has argued that it is definitely a forgery. Thanks John. Found out more about it - allegedly this piece was discovered by Milo Speriglio - the Marilyn detective - but couldn't even verify that. Known as the 'Monroe Document;' allegedly the signature is James Jesus Angleton and it has a Majestic reference - plus a 'Moon Dust' project reference. If one Majestic reference could be determined legit, perhaps there would be a domino effect - certainly there are some interesting bits and pieces there to chew on which seem to make a good deal of logical sense - to me anyway - esp with respect to her 'cloudbusting' comment, and other things... - lee
  18. I'm with Mark on this one. Found this interesting however - did key 1126 [removed from Oswald at the DPD] open PO Box 6225, and isn't it fair to assume that these two signatures on the PO Box application would have been applied within seconds or mere minutes of one another? I forced each piece to match as best as possible, rotating, resizing, etc., each part of the signature separately. I'm no expert, but one would assume that the two signatures would be a closer match if they were done on the same application within a very short time period.
  19. Someone whom I would consider the SME made it clear - 'difficult, but not impossible.' And the description could fit in with the Airport at Route 77 - which had a long stretch of the construction underway for Route 35 - the Lou Foote airport - which was not paved at the time, but all sand. I provided this information to Robert Vinson - however, he is not well. and it was of no effect. Robert - many thanks. I consider this thread a general dumping ground and sooner or later, something will eventually make sense. As someone I consider highly once told me - 'there are no coincidences in this business.' - lee
  20. Hey Robert - you said it. Much here - and SOA figures in. I think there is a large void of documentation here - some which may not even exist. Of the Cubans selected for special Fort Benning training - how many received what kind of training? Certainly there had to have been a few selected especially for ZR related training. I think the Parrot incident should be added to the suspicious vehicles thread - even if it was indirectly related to 11/22. What I have had a hard time finding again is the reported incident of the rambler associated with the surveying of DP which took place coincidentally within some very short timeframe of 11.22. I may need to go through a lot of material to find that again - but I'm willing to bet it is worthwhile. There's just no way that El Indio didn't case the joint. - lee
  21. http://www.antiterroristas.cu/index.php?tp..._obj_id=1001735 The CIA-trained Cuban terrorists created in the plans for the Bay of Pigs invasion became major purveyors of this history of secrecy and lies. In December 1962, Cuba released more than a thousand prisoners of Brigade 2506, the Bay of Pigs invaders. They joined thousands of other Cuban émigrés to be given further training by the CIA. From 1963 through 1966, about 300 CIA agents like E. Howard Hunt worked out of a CIA station based at the University of Miami. They controlled thousands of Cuban operatives in a campaign of constant armed attacks, sabotage, infiltration, propaganda, arson, and murder. Some Bay of Pigs veterans enrolled at Fort Benning for CIA training that gave them commissions as Army lieutenants. Within the time frame of this forum, I’ll follow briefly only one of these trained terrorists: Luis Posada, but Posada had three important buddies at Fort Benning -- Jorge Mas Canosa, Orlando Bosch, and Félix Rodríguez -- all of whom became connected in some form or other to terrorism. Decades later, Luis Posada told New York Times reporters that “the CIA taught us everything -- everything.” He said, “They taught us explosives, how to kill, bomb, trained us in acts of sabotage.” http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m113...50/ai_54545997/ When he arrived in Miami, Mas, like most of the young exile men, saw U.S.-backed violence as the only means available for the overthrow of the revolutionary government. He later modified, but never abandoned, this methodology. The young Mas joined the CIA's Bay of Pigs invasion expedition, but never set foot on the island. The CIA assigned him to a decoy ship. After the April 1961 Bay of Pigs fiasco, Mas turned to radio, doing biweekly anti-Castro broadcasts into Cuba over the CIA's Radio SWAN. He married Irma, his high school sweetheart. To earn his living he began delivering milk; subsequently he sold shoes in Miami's Little Havana. In 1963, the CIA offered a select group of Bay of Pigs veterans a chance to enroll in an intelligence training course at Fort Benning, Georgia. Mas met two Cuban exiles there, Felix Rodriguez and Luis Posada Carrilles, who became his lifetime buddies after undergoing this special training with him. Like other Bay of Pigs veterans selected as "special cases," Mas received a commission as second lieutenant, but - like many of his compatriots - quit the army when he discovered that the U.S. government had no immediate plans to invade Cuba.(2) Mas Terror Following his 1963 Fort Benning experience, Mas met Jose "Pepin" Bosch, kingpin of the Bacardi rum family, and abandoned his shoe-salesman career in Little Havana. How does a former shoe salesman with little record of accomplishment get into millionaire Bosch's league? Did the CIA suggest that Bosch back Mas, yet another among many Cuban exiles plotting terrorist raids against Cuba, as a leader of RECE (Representacion Cubana en el Exilio)? Former House Assassinations Committee investigator Gaeton Fonzi says that the CIA, not Bosch, financed RECE. Fonzi cites an FBI document that has Mas delivering $5,000 to Luis Posada, then a CIA contract agent, to blow up a Soviet or Cuban ship docked in Veracruz, Mexico.(3) http://www.spartacus.schoolnet.co.uk/JFKvarona.htm During the month of June 1963, Manuel Artime, a leading political figure among the Cuban refugees in Miami, Florida, came to Fort Benning, Georgia, for the purpose of recruiting people to go to a revolutionary camp in Nicaragua. Artime informed this group that the U.S. Government was not going to do anything for Cuba and that he had obtained aid and instructors from Europe." "Help should start to be received by Artime after November 1963." "Muina is working for, or with, Artime. Muina has indicated that Cuba will not gain its liberty with the assistance of the United States, but needs to look for help from another country. Muina believes that the United States has decided to apply the principle of co-existence towards Cuba." "There is a group of officers with the Cuban Officers Training Program at Lackland Air Force Base who contemplate submitting their resignations if the United States has not done anything for the freedom of Cuba by December 1963. Many officers have indicated their desire to resign in order to join Manuel Artime who is supposedly organizing a training camp in Nicaragua. Artime has some contacts that have been undermining the present training program by spreading dissention among their fellow officers.

  23. Hey Robert! Yes saw some of these - by 'infiltration' this refers to landings in Cuba. I saw a few reports of successful penetration of Cuba by AMHINT assets - would be fantastic if some documentation could be found which made it clear that AMHINT assets were among the agents infiltrating Cuba on William K. Harvey's nod during the middle of the missile crisis - and among them the one that performed a CYA with RFK. Sure everyone has seen it before - start at about 3:00 below. Of course, we know now that the tunnel was a failure from the ground breaking forward. Independently confirmed by 2 sources - 1) Hemming who had plenty to say on the subject - inferring that the penetration by such groups was fairly common in the years leading up to the crisis [much in support of the BOP initiative], and that the intel on the Nukes was collected first by such agents - who had a difficult time finding back channels to deliver the information - which of course the agency took credit for with it's later confirmation using the U2. This initial intel allegedly involved Clara Luce and other channels - which is interesting to note. Hemming insisted that the intel collected by the agency was strictly decoy - the sites so closely photographed and distributed were nothing but the dummy sites - and following the withdrawal / trade solution with Krushchev - the terms and conditions of the treaty were violated by Castro, since the outgoing missiles were only audited by aerial reconnaissance - which was absurd. Hemming [and 2] insisted that Castro retained tactical nuclear strike capability - and this is the reason why no larger action was ever taken since. They couldn't go home again...and then the appearance of detente... source 2) confirmed. AMHINT? - lee
