  1. I'm curious as to what the forum members think as to why was J.D. Tippit killed. It seems to me that there are only three scenarios as far as 'who' killed Tippit. !. Oswald killed Tippit as a means to escape apprehension. There has been a recent thread showing reasons and evidence why it couldn't have been Oswald. 2. Gil Jesus has a thread and an interesting theory that the Tippit killing had nothing to do with the JFK assassination. 3. A conspirator to the assassination did it. Number three seems to be the most popular opinion among forumites. But why did it happen? And why was a conspirator on foot? That seems quite risky. If a conspirator on foot killed Tippit it seems that it was designed to lead the police to the Texas Theater, albeit a risky one. It does seem like Tippit was searching for someone, considering the witnesses at the Gloco gas station, the Top Ten Record Store and the man Tippit supposedly pulled over and checked his back seat without saying a word. I'm wondering how reliable those witnesses were.
  2. That does make sense to me. But then, what about the military? It seems that they were in control of the autopsy and directed the autopsy physicians. Then again, the military could have been part of the false flag operation and they needed to quickly cover their rears.
  3. Don't forget to mention George Joannides to Blakey. That might inspire him.
  4. I was ten years old when the assassination happened. I was sitting in my fifth grade class when, with no explanation or announcement, the radio began playing over the intercom. The initial news was the president was shot. At about 2:30 EST, they announced that the president was dead. Then the principal of the school came over the intercom and sent everybody home. Once home, all that was on the radio or tv was coverage of the assassination which continued through the Monday (school was cancelled) of the funeral. That was quite a lot for a 10 year old to absorb. The president was murdered and then the accused assassin was murdered. From then on, I watched the news and read the newspaper looking for any info on the assassination. Believe it or not, there was some skepticism in the newspaper articles regarding the official story which caused me to be continually interested in the case as I was growing up.
  5. My default browser is Microsoft Edge and I could not open any of the links. I tried to open the last link with Google Chrome and it worked!
  6. This one doesn't work for me nor the original link.
  7. I happened to read an article about Truman Capote today. The article claimed that Capote was the one who started the Hoover cross dressing rumor. When someone asked Capote, "What if it's not true?" or something like that. Capote replied, "Who cares."
  8. I happened to be in the museum a few weeks ago and I snapped this pic. I didn't think of looking at the text description but this appears to be the same model used in the movie. I wonder why the Hertz sign is blank. It wasn't blank in the movie.
  9. Calvin has posted some good stuff. I don't think he should be accused of trolling.
  10. After a little more investigation (Google), I found the following interview with Tosh Plumlee from April 1992 at the Spartacus site. quote: Q: Did you ever see him again after that? A: Yes, in '62 when I came back into Dallas area, that, through the Dallas Cubans over on, not Harlendale Street, but there was a "safe" house here in Dallas, Oak Cliff, two of them. There was a small two bedroom frame type house that was located in Oak Cliff not far from the zoo where the old inner urban track used to go through, I mean there's a highline down through there now, at that place and then I think it was Zang's Blvd. there used to be "safe" house there that was run by Hernandez out of Miami that had connections with Alpha 66 at one point that se up a "safe" house for Dallas Cubans that were filtrating out of the Miami area. Oswald, from those two "safe" houses, I went to another "safe" house and that "safe" house was directly behind where Oswald had rented a room, in the alley, and I carved my initials on the draining board up there at that time and that was a gun running operation and Oswald was renting the front house. I saw him there briefly but did not talk to him. Q: Is that the house he lived in when the assassination occurred? A: I'm not sure of the dates. Researchers would have to get the dates but this was just prior.. I had just came in from flying Roselli and John Martino from Houston to Galvezton and my next trip was from Houston back to Dallas so that would have been around June of '63, or no... before June... it would have been around April or May of '63. :quote off This might have been what I was thinking of. Plumlee is talking about a time period before Oswald rented the room on North Beckley unless his dates are confused. He doesn't seem 100% sure of the dates. Apparently there were a number of 'safe houses' in the area.
  11. I didn't tour the house, either. A very small room, a bed, maybe a dresser and a nightstand. Not much to see there. I did tour the 6th Floor Museum. I took a few pics of the Tippit site. The homes that were there in '63 are long gone. I also took pics of the Texas Theater. It would have been nice to go inside but it was closed at the time. I think it has been remodeled and may not be configured as it was in '63. It was quite a weird feeling driving through Dealey Plaza for the first time.
  12. I seem to remember reading that there was speculation that Cuban exiles either lived or met upstairs over the garage behind Oswald's rooming house. Does anyone have any insight or information regard that? This past week, I fulfilled the last item on my bucket list (visiting Dallas and all of the JFK related sites there) and that garage/structure is still standing.
  13. Castro may not have known exactly who was behind the assassination. But with the 'Fair Play For Cuba' being publicized, he knew that he was being made a suspect.
  14. That is quite odd. I could imagine he meant fully 'wrapped' but that doesn't account for removing the coat.
  15. Is this what you're looking for? Capt_James_Young_Interview.pdf (whowhatwhy.org)
  16. Thanks. I was going to say that it was not JFK's limo as, those weren't jump seats and the upholstery didn't match.
  17. I haven't watched the video. Whose car is this supposed to be?
  18. I've have heard that over the years, as well. But has it been documented somewhere?
  19. After reading the interview with Dr. Young, I found it interesting that he still felt the official story (WCR) was accurate. He was aware of an extra bullet that disappeared and he tried to explain away why JFK arrived in a different casket and a body bag even though Dr. Humes disputed that. I'm undecided as far as the empty casket/body bag theories but I did find it interesting that Dr. Young brought the body bag issue up on his own.
  20. What would the shooter(s) be shooting at during frames 360-380? It appears that the target would no longer be exposed.
  21. I've not done this myself, yet... Black Op Radio
