  1. Jeraldean Reid was the same as Mrs. Robert Reid or Mrs. R. A. Reid as her statement was written. https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth339592/m1/1/?q=reid Her death certificate for the state of Texas lists her husband as Robert A Reid, and her address is listed as the same one she used for the affidavit above.
  2. The hard copy release date estimate on Amazon is the same date as the Kindle version.
  3. See, I grew up with a different saying about pigs. Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time, and it annoys the pig. I never considered the muddy wrestling aspect...
  4. Off topic reply - my Kindle app seems to be working just fine on phone & laptop.
  5. I'm currently reading Hunt's biography which touches on James McCord (and Douglas Caddy.) I also saw Mr. Caddy's name in another book I'm reading. (I always have at least two books going at once.) Fortunately, the second one hasn't touched on McCord or Hunt...at least, not yet. It's a fat book. But reading about this period of history always makes me feel like all we need to do is switch a few names/dates and voila - we'd be here in present times.
  6. I assume they would not admit it. (I was going for humor there, sorry if it didn't translate as such.)
  7. So if conspiracy theories are a threat, does that make one of us the FBI informant to report on the others?
  8. So...how do we find out the hours of Western Union locations in Dallas in 1963?
  9. I'm so glad that you posted this. I am almost done with a book that mentions a few early interviews, and I had remembered your website with so much material while I was reading it. Now I have no excuse to check if you have what the author referenced. Thanks!!
  10. Thanks for the link. I'd read headlines yesterday, but I had not yet read anything else about this story other than there was a tape. (And, of course, I am now wondering again how many tapes and transcripts and documents of previous administrations are still waiting to be seen and heard.)
  11. I haven't finished reading this whole thing, but from what I've read so far he was involved in the sale of some stolen goods from Andrews AFB in September 1960. It doesn't appear that he did the stealing, but he appears to be involved so far in the sale of the handguns at any rate. The FBI clearly didn't use their best copier for these reports. Some of them are incredibly difficult to read, and I can't say that I have a complete grasp of the entire story yet. https://www.maryferrell.org/php/showlist.php?docset=1828 I also found an independent newspaper article which also lists Lovelady as one of the airmen arrested. In addition to the handguns, the article mentioned the theft of masking tape and sheets.
  12. I looked at Rowland's 'file' there and laughed, b/c I have no idea how to translate that into anything useful. Billy Lovelady has a fascinating list of files, though. I don't think I realized he had a criminal record and had been in trouble with the FBI prior to 1963. If I read it somewhere, it didn't make an impression at the time.
  13. I remember reading that story, too. But this was a story about a plane sitting at the airport the day of the assassination, engine idling. There were alleged reports of complaints made about the noise. I will have to dig through and see where I read this, but it would have been in a well-known book on the subject.
  14. Isn't there also a story about a plane sitting with the engine idling at Redbird Airport the day of the assassination?
  15. I have been thinking along these lines so much lately. I think in some respects it's what has prompted me to devote more time to JFK research. I'm no longer certain what the greatest secret might be which our government is hiding in its files, but with the JFK assassination I can focus on a specific point in time where it's easy to see the edges of a cover up. It may be too late to go back in time and fix that point in history, but if we can see what went wrong and why it might go a long way toward understanding government deception in the modern day.
  16. It wasn't the first numbers which I posted which prompted the question. It was the number within certain personal descriptions as posted above in William Shelley's listing of #49. HIs listing ends with an FBI # as do the others which I listed. I only gave their initial numerical numbers to illustrate which persons had those FBI #'s to make it easier for anyone who took the time to answer my question to quickly see what I was trying to reference. Thank you for posting a piece of the list here to illustrate my question!! I was having problems trying to do that.
  17. So - question. In what might be a 2018 release, there's a letter written from the HSCA to the CIA requesting information on various people. The list has some 59 people of all backgrounds, including Mrs. Earle Cabell. (Not sure what the CIA would have had on her?) Anyway, several people have an FBI number listed in their little brief descriptive blurb. Would that be the number of their FBI file? Those people listed as such are 17 - Robert E (Bob) Edwards 23 - Charles Douglas Givens 28 - James Earl Jarman 31 - Billy Nolan Lovelady 45 - James Elbert Romack 47 - Arnold Rowland 49 - Willam H Shelley https://www.archives.gov/files/research/jfk/releases/2018/docid-32272575.pdf
  18. The only thing I've read on this subject is that Sammy Davis Jr delayed his marriage so that it would not negatively impact JFK's election (since Sammy Davis Jr was a good friend of Sinatra's.) While the book I read mentioned that Davis was not present at the inauguration, it did not say that he was invited and then disinvited. I cannot argue with a member of the Davis family as far as the facts go. I'm just saying that that's all that I've read to date.
  19. Just as an FYI - I have read SO MANY books lately which had the lousiest indexes. If you need someone to make sure your work is properly indexed, LMK. I'll do the work for the swap of one published copy.
